there is an index file, which links every menu item to an external SWF file.
So I finish the project, test it on my computer, and everything is fine.
But when I upload it into my server (uses cPanel), all the links (load SWF) work except a few. But it work on my PC perfectly. I tried everything to make them work, but they are still blank.

I have a projector published from Mac into two formats: Mac and Windows. The main movie loads an intro flv, and it has a button to skip which loads another swf.When I run the .app in MacOS, it works fine. The video is displayed and the button jumps to the mentioned swf. However, when running the .exe in Windows, no video is showed and the button does nothing.I think it's a path problem. I'm using relative ones, and have tried in all forms:
i created a very simple flash animation and loading external jpg files using loadMovie(). I had test it in IE7 and its works fine but not in Firefox2, it cannot display the jpgs. What is the problem?

I have run across a strange problem. When I load products2.swf by itself, I can call the two "copy" files and everything works. When I open 0342.swf (the index page), I can switch between the home and products2 pages, but I can't view the "copy" pages.I'm guessing there may be some sort of conflict with variable names, but I have been messing with it for most of today.I have uploaded all of the FLA files to here:[url]....
If you make an swf file out of each of the attached items, and open the 0342 file, you will see what is supposed to be happening.

I'm working on making a pretty chunky game engine for games I plan on making, but I was wondering if you make external AS files unopenable such as .lib files, so that if I give it to a friend that wants to use it, he/she cannot change my code. Is there anyway to make external AS files unopenable? Also, obfuscation isn't an option for this problem as it only stops the people who hack the finished product, not stopping people who have access to the actual files.
Structure: There is 1 main file that loads external SWF files depending on what is clicked on.One of the external SWF files loads its text from external text files. This works fine when viewing the SWF applet on its own. But when viewing as a whole site, the text doesnt appear. I spent almost a week trying to figure out how to unload a currently loaded swf using its button and loading a new swf... I have three files, a main.fla, file1.fla and file2.fla. In my main.fla, I have a code which loads the other two files. I am using in AS3 "External Interface ". When I call the JS function that is on the same page as swf everything works fine.
I added a link in the html page to an external JS file, when I move the JS function to the external JS file the website crushes.
I would prefer to have all my JS functions on an external file so I can use them in the future in other project and it also makes it easier for me to update the site.

I've got an external .as file in the same folder as my flash file. In the process of writing the code, whenever I make a change and then test the movie, the flash movie is obviously still looking at the OLD information. I need some help with streaming wav files in flash. I can load a wav file and stream it ok using actionscript 3 into my fla file. However if I go to edit the wav and make it shorter the saved wav file will not play. I have used a trial version of soundbooth to see if I could somehow change the settings for the wav but I still cannot make it work. It will stream as an mp3 but I want the file to loop and need the file to be wav. I have attached the file. I have no problem when I upload the file into the fla file but that is not what I want to do.
i have the problem of local files of flash not working in any browser. to explain further i have html pages with headers in flash in my hard disk with links of the connecting pages. when i open such pages in any browser the links dont work. the page just stays as it is. when i click on the links only the state of the rollover changes when clicked on a link. the links when clicked dont go to the linked page. but when i upload these files to the server, they open and work perfectly in any browser.
I created a preloader. When I test it in Flash CS4, it works fine. When I upload the swf files to my server, the preloader doesn't work. I put both swf files in the same folder.
I'm struggling with getting swfPanels and JSFL files to work. I've tried to get the example on here to work but am having no luck. When it asks to save, I am unable to save the files in the place where it asks to do so, but am putting them in the configuration folder in the Adobe Flash CS5 folder.What do I need to do to make swfPanels and JSFL files to work?
I usually used as3 in flash to develop game, but I always do for a fixed size of file. But in itunes there are a lot of app work for both ipad - 768x1024 and iphone 640x940 (this size is iphone 4) and even different iphone generation has different size too. So how can i use flash to make one app that can work for all of these devices?
I'm working on a project that originally required me to use <area> elements and 40 copies of a single GIF image to have a hoverable and clickable <img> tag. I suggested SVG, and the client agreed to use SVG instead, as it was easier to work with for both of us.
Anyways, my question is, what cross-browser JavaScript SVG library will allow me to display and interact with pre-made SVG images.

But that plugin does not support Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator SVGs (i.e. most SVGs). cang: This library looks promising, but it requires <canvas> support, which IE doesn't have natively. svgweb: Another more-promising library. It requires Flash, but most IE users have Flash. jQuery SVG: It seems to be able to load SVG images, but development seems to have died. And it requires me to use a modified version of jQuery 1.3.

I'm making a website and I imported an swf file to library and brought that into the stage.If I click into the swf file and I try to make buttons that change a page it doesn't work, but if I don't double click on the swf file on the stage and do it in the main time line then it works.
I've managed to piece together a flash website with my limited as3 knowledge. The text is loaded from external text files and styled with an external css file.
It's working perfectly in Firefox and Explorer but it only works SOME of the time in Safari (on my mac).It's hit and miss. Sometimes it styles the text sometimes it doesn't.
I have a strange problem: When I type the absolute URL to my SWF file it works fine; however, only the background image appears when the SWF is embedded in the home page.
I am trying to import a DAE file, and it gets put on the stage, but for some reason I cannot control the scale of it. I know you have to pass a 3rd param to the Collada() constructor to be the scale, but no matter what I put there, it doesnt change the scale.Alas, I cannot get the scaleX or scaleY or scaleZ to change anything.Just need to know how to adjust the size/scale of this model.
I'm loading external jpgs into a swf movie. This works fine from the swf. The problem is when I embed it in the html. File Structure that I want:
movie.html FolderB> ImageFolder>image.jpg movie.swf� (path to the images is ImageFolder/image.jpg
When I run the movie.swf from within the directory, it runs fine. However, when I embed it in the movie.html it doesn't run. Question: Are paths from the swf relative to the PAGE that the swf is contained in vs the swf itself? Hope that makes sense.
I downloaded a source of the dragging3d tutorial "dragging3d.as" .I want to use it edit it in some ways but i cant.I can only open it up with flash cs3.maybe edit it there.But than what?How to compile it? or what should i do to turn it into a stage , a .flv file?
