Aug 25, 2005i have a problem, i want to go to frame 10 on movie.swf when using loadmovie,?oadMovie("movie.swf","movie_mc");
View 2 Repliesi have a problem, i want to go to frame 10 on movie.swf when using loadmovie,?oadMovie("movie.swf","movie_mc");
View 2 RepliesI have a created a menu and the pages are on a seperate swf file which is to be loaded onto the top of.
firstly i used this code but it still only went to frame 1 of the laoded movie:
on (release) {
loadMovie("a2.swf", 1);
_level1.gotoAndStop(15);
}
then i found this code. But i cant get it to work correctly. does it go on frame one of the movie or on the button instance?
[Code]...
I want to load a movie and have it start on a specific frame within that movie instead of starting on frame one. The code I have now is this:
stop();
loadMovieNum("mc2.swf", 2);
I want it to start on the frame label in the movie called "in" instead of on frame one. How the hell do I do this, I looked everywhere
I have run into a snag! I cant target a specific frame after loading swf file.I m creating a continuous slideshow with five separate swfs (movie01.swf , movie02.swf... etc) which load sequentially into one empty movieclip (named - mainMCholder) on the root timeline I control the loaded swfs with 2 buttons next and previous.These buttons simply move up or down a frame (nextFrame/prevFrame) .if I load movie02. swf into my empty movieclip and I m on frame 1 (of 10) and choose to back up to the end of movie01.swf (which would be frame 10 of movie01.swf),I end up on frame 1 of movie01.swf. Unsure why I cant move to last frame of a loaded movie?
//This is the code I've used
loadMovie( movie01.swf, "mainMCholder");
mainMCholder.gotoAndPlay("lastframe");
I know there's been a million "how do I load a movie and than jump to a specific frame" thead. Well all of those have been helpful :: HOWEVER I wouldn't be posting because I can't seem to get my script to run successfully First the background I have a nav. menu made up of seprate movies clips :: inside each movie clip is four buttons :: these buttons are shown using a rollOver, rollOut dealy
anyway when you click on one of the buttons it calls "student.swf" to load into an empty MC called content.I've tried everything :: What happens is the button will load the MC but will sit on the first frame and do nothing :: the movie clip "student.swf" is not that big so I doubt I'm waiting for it to load.
[Code]...
I tried this code but doesnt work properly, anyone has a solution? i need to load different swfs in the same MC depending on the frame, i have placed the simple loadmovie code in each frame with the different swfs and it works but i would prefer to keep the code in 1 frame. This would be even better if using labels instead of frames.
[Code]..
Anyway, I'm using loadMovie() and then trying to go to a specific frame within it:
[Code]...
When I replace "currentFrame" with a number, say 10, it doesn't work either. This should be so simple but I just don't get it.
I know. This topic has been addressed several times in various posts. And I've read and tried all of them, however nothing seems to work. I'm not sure if due to the circumstances...I'll explain.
I have made 2 files: main.swf and products.swf. A button in main.swf has the following code:
on (release){
_root.loadMovie("products.swf");
}
This works great, but what I really want to do is go to frame label "Range" in products.swf. A note of explanation: I'm not trying to load products.swf into a container movieclip, I want to replace main.swf with products.swf and go to Range label.
Is there any way to direct a loadmovie to start at a particular frame when you use loadMovieNum? I have an introduction frame i'd like users to avoid. I loaded the movie into 0 level so that it could function with all the processing speed. alone. However when the user returns to the main movie I'd like them to skip intro and go to frame 15.
on (release) {
loadMovieNum("introd.swf", 0);
}
Is it possible?

Basically this script works just fine and loads the appropriate movie. The transistion exit frame also works correctly. What I am trying to do is load the movie site_services.swf and jump to frame label "database" after the preloader. I was attempting to use _root.contents.FLabel = "database"; to set the variable.
on (release) {
if (_root.currMovie == undefined) {
_root.currMovie = "site_services";

After i look in kirupa foruns(and others) i found lots of information about how to load a movie into a container, making that the movie starts in a specific frame label.
I have 2 movies, the fist one "main.swf" contains the "container", the 2nd "teste.swf" contain the frames labeled like "F1", "F2" "F3" "F4" and "F5".
My problem is :
A.swf : 5 frame (ie, page1, page2, page3, page4, page5)
B.swf : 2 frame (ie, page6, page7)
When click on back button in the page6(B.swf), wish to jump back to page5(A.swf) instead of page1 as normally
Script using :
back_btn.onRelease = function() {
loadMovie("A.swf",0);
};
B.swf jump to A.swf, but go to frame 5 instead of frame 1 in A.swf.
What should i do for the script to achieve what i mentioned above?
is there a way with the loadmovie function that you can load a specific frame within the movie instead of starting at frame1?
what ive been using is:-
on (release) {
loadMovie("mymovie.swf", 1);
}
but this starts 'mymovie' at frame1, is there a way to get it to load the movie and start at frame 20?

I did a MC called "bgproducts" on the root frame no:46 to 59 then stop(); and in this MC, you have an animation and stop at frame no :64 then stop(); in the frame 64, i have another an empty MC called "productsMC". when i do this code in bgproduct frame no 64 : productsMC.loadMovie("main.swf", ""); it plays the frame on the root 46 to 59 non-stop and nothing to loadmovie, and also the main.swf has a preoloader then frame 2 an load from xml file.
View 2 RepliesI have this movie [URL] its for a mates building company ok here is my problem (i will explain it to the best of my abilites) i have 3 buttons which each load 1 seperate SWF into an empty movie clip eg. servicesbutton loads services.swf into contentsMC that is fine that is working fine my problem occurs when the loaded movie button is clicked on again... it resets the loaded SWF back to frame 1... how can i make the loadmove command abit more cleverer? like dont load the movie if its already loaded?
View 5 RepliesI have a simple slideshow that has 70 slides. Each slide is on a frame in the main timeline and I have the following AS 2:
loadMovie("Data/5.swf", "container");
stop();
There will be 70 SWF files in that Data folder. Instead of having to manually type in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5...in that "Data/5.swf" attribute, is there a way to just tell it to load the SWF number based on the current frame? Frame 1 in the timeline loads 1.swf, frame 2 loads 2.swf, etc.
That way I can just put the same AS on each frame instead of having to manually go in and type each one.
I have my flash on multiple scenes, and would like to play an animation when clicking on the navigation button before switching to a different scene.
I'm halfway to accomplishing this.
Here is what i used
Code:
_root.gotoAndPlay("changepage1");
_root.onEnterFrame=function(){
if(this._currentframe=="changepage2"){
[Code]....
The above code is on a blank keyframe. Changepage1 is the start of the animation and Changepage2 is the end of the animation.
Upon clicking the navigation button it plays the above scenes.
However it doesn't change scenes to scene "Home2".
What command do I enter for the movie to rewind to first frame on entering a certain frame / stopping in a frame?It's my first time using Flash, and I'm working on a double menu (second menu has a "close" button, where I want to get back to the first menu).
View 5 Repliesi have a movieclip on stage. it has 3 frames but is stopped with "stop():" so it only shows the first frame on mousedown i want it to play frame 2 for a duration of 1 frame then frame 3.
View 3 RepliesI hope I can ask this correctly. I'll paraphrase.
press_mc.onRelease = function(){
mover2_mc.play()};
This is a snippet of some code I'm working on. Currently I have a mc that you press that plays another mc. That mc that reacts has 5 frames, each frame with stop(); on each frame. I do a normal play code because it lets me play through and cycle back to frame 1 after frame 5 (so if I click the mc it eventually cycles back to the first frame and starts the process over again). If I do a nextframe it stops at frame 5, so that's why I use play.
press_mc click on it and it tells mover2_mc to advance a frame and recycles back to frame one to redo the process.Can I tell press_mc to play and skip a frame or to have it play a list of frames that I tell? I can't do a _currentframe +2 because it'll halt at frame 5.
I am really stuck with a loadmovie action that I cannot find the solution to. I have a website that I had to split up as the loading time was too long. I have used a loadMovie function and it loads the external movie but the problem is that the external movie requiring a little bit of time to load I want a preloader to come first.
I have attached screenshots of this (wssmain liks to the arch_mc1) . The problem is that the movie loads but the preloader doesn't play. Anybody has any ideas why?
The first screenshot shows the wssmain whereas the second (preloader2) shows the arch_mc1. If the fla files are required I will make them available for download.
[Code]...
I load my external image into emptymc which is inside mc_container:loadMovie("myimage.jpg", mc_container.emptymc); //placed on main timeline.This works fine. However when I go to a different frame within mc_container(specifically a frame without an instance of "emptymc") emptymc gets unloaded. As soon as I go back to a frame containing "emptymc" it no longer has the jpg.Is there a way I can keep the jpg loaded in emptymc without having to load it again?
View 2 RepliesI am very new to Flash and have been going around in circles for days trying to figure this out.I can't get swf to loadMovie when on server. I understand I need to use the path relative to the html page.[code]
View 1 RepliesI've been trying to load a simple .swf (home.swf) and have it play automatically on my existing fla project (as2). These are the steps I have taken.. 1) create MC, named "holder" 2) within first frame of MC, entered in.. loadMovie("home.swf","holder"); Nothing is showing, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. If you can help, I can send you the files I'm working with.
View 2 RepliesI am working on my first flash website and have been working on loadMovie & unloadMovie. The commands have been working for me and it will load & unload the external .swf in a contentHolderMC. The problem that I am encountering is the loaded .swf width is correct but the height is being reduced, I would guess to about 75%. Is there a way to maintain the external .swf's size? Even if I need to put the code into the external .swf.
I have tried creating a mask inside the contentHolderMC to match the size of the external .swf. When I have looked around for clues to the resizing, I am finding tutorials on how to resize the external .swf into a smaller Movie Clip. That's not what I am trying to do.
I have this problem: in my swf on frame 100 is a code:
Code:
loadMovie("second.swf", _root.clip1);
I have mc with isntance name: clip1 The movie second.swf loads into the position of clip1 but it's originally very big and I want it to make it smaller so it will fit to my site, if possible i would also like it not to be resizeable (so when someone will have smaller browser window it wouldnt move)
I need to be able to load the movies over the top of one another so that you can still see the movie under it....Can this be done ?????
View 8 RepliesI am using loadmovie AS2 function PHP Code:
stop ();blankmov.loadMovie("newmovie.swf") to load external movie in my main flash file and it works fine, except one problem which is the new movie that loads in the main movie becomes transparent so there is no background displaying in this new external movie. Is there a way to use loadmovie function so that new movie holds its background and it does not become transparent?
