How do I hide the letters in a password input text box. I have an input text box for the viewer to type in a password and would like the password to not show when typed in, like is the case with html text boxes, where you just see a bullet for each letter in the password. How would I do this? Is there a font I could use?

i am using flash cs4 with action script 2.0... basic movie where you enter a password to be taken to a hidden webpage.frame one i use this action script [code]frame 1 i have input text field with password behavior and a variable of password frame 1 I have a button with no instance name using this action script..[code]if wrong password is entered you are taken to "wrong" frame in timeline.the problem is no matter what password I use or if I leave the textfiled blank it takes me to the "wrong" lable in the timelime NOT the hidden webpage.

However, there is some flaw I can't find in the script and if I try to enter anything in the box, it is changed to "orangemarmalade" (see below) and only enters there (acting as if I typed "orangemarmalade" every time).

Also, i have a dynamic text box named dynamic_1 with variable "choc_1".
When the user types something on the input box then the dynamic box changes instantly and displays what the user has written.
auto scale-size the fonts to a smaller size if the user types many letters.
The input_1 box has a 13 character limit. My initial font size is 200, i want to scale down so when the user types 10 letters they fit the box and they don't go out of screen. I want to use one line, so wrap or multiline is not possible.

I'm attempting to unravel a Flash template and there are two Flash movies, Main and Magazine, the second being embedded into the first. The Magazine Flash file contains a menu of links to various pages in the Magazine movie. There are 5 of these links - About, Services, Contact, etc.I've been trying to find the text elements so I can assign new colors, but the only thing that I can find is the first element. Tere is a scene called menutxt which has an area with text for each of the five links but they all have the text "About" in the buttons. Doing so will apply you score data (time elapsed, date, correct answers and percentage) along with the name you typed in, and output in a form, that you can save or print off, or whatever. The problem is, the input text box will not let you type in it. If you mouse over it, the mouse stays a pointer, you don't get the text tool. This is a custom flash template I downloaded, when you watch/use the template you can see about me, and all the text in it, however when I attempt to edit it to my specs, I see the frame where it is located, but I cannot edit any text, because I can't SEE any text!!So basically, in editing mode, I don't see any text to edit, but when using the template, I see a lot of info... i have an one input text box, first i type text into it and press space bar at this it will become empty and ready to accept next input from starting position, i make the text box empty by
textbox.text = "";
but the cursor not set to initial position in text box it consider "" as "space" and cursor will display after one space only, i need that cursor again move to starting position..

This code corresponds to a quiz question where the correct answer is either blue or green. I get the #1009 error if I input "blue". The answer "green" seems to work ok. What's wrong with my code? Is there a better way to make is so more than one answer works? Something like "blue" or "green" or "otheranswer", etc..?

I need the ability to click the Bold button and it bolds or unbolds at the cursor so if I hit the bold button what I type from that point on will be bold until I hit the button again and then it goes back to regular. I am able to change it to bold or unbold by selecting the text and clicking the button but I also need to do it without selecting.

All was going well... but then I changed my code from value1 = "password" to value1 = password.text; and the php instead of coming back with the user's password, comes back undefined. WHY WHY WHy, does it except it when I say value1 = "password" and not with the value1 = password.text; (and 'password' is the instance name of the input text... (not using flash vars)
