is it possible to hide the cursor upon entering a frame. i know you can hide the cursor when you use a custom cursor hideCursor=true but what about like .... if you have a button and on the over state you have a movie, upon entering the movie the cursor hides?

I am saying that cause I already know how to make it work with a button but not with a frame number. What do I need to change in the script? Here's a button script I have;

View 1 RepliesI don't know what's going on here. I have some onRelease functions on movieclips that work fine. However one of them takes the user to a contact form in another frame but after selecting another button to go back to the first frame of the movieclip none of the functions work again.Here's a link to my swf so you can see what I mean:

I have been looking around but couldn't find a good tutorial or solution to my problem. I have a slideshow type application (for my portfolio website). I have 4 "slides". I wanted to use video, I added it on slide #3, and it plays fine, control buttons seem to be connected, but when I click to go to the next slide, without pausing the video, it still keeps playing..., even though there is no instance of the flv playback on that frame. If I go back to the video slide, a new video starts on the top of the old one.... On exit from the slide I would like the video to stop. And on re-entering the frame the video would just sit there, after clicking play/pause it would resume.

View 2 RepliesI am trying to create an AS3 Fla to score a quiz's results. The quiz is a separate swf that stores its results to a shared object ("G1"), and both the quiz swf and this new scoring swf would reside on the same website.
I've tried scripting the AS3 in the new scoring Fla but I keep getting error messages.
So far, here's what I have that doesn't work.

The goal is to open the scoring swf, populate some variables with the values from the SO, then (not yet tried in the script) apply some if/else conditions to show specific results based on scores.

I am making a website with a flash menu. I want it to gotoAndPlay a particular frame (frame A) when the cursor is on a button. When you roll the cursor off of the button I want it to gotoAndPlay a different frame (frame B). That part was easy enough. But here is the problem. If you click on the button I want it to continue playing frame A even when you roll off.
View 3 RepliesFrom my flash "home" frames, I have 4 buttons that take the user to different places on the timeline. One frame on the timeline includes a carosel of pictures that rotate and looks nice. I downloaded the carosel actionscript and xml documents online, I did not build them myself. Now, when I hit the "home" button to get back to the home frame, the carosel still lingers around. I would like to know how to hide it, or make it not come back at all when coming back to my "home" frame.

When I go to a new frame the swf does not vanish it just stays there. How do I get rid of the loaded swf from within the swf? I guessed it's something to do with the child?

I have created this spinning diamond flash with a dynamic frame rate controlled by the mouse cursor. it spins from the right to the left if the cursor is at the left side of the diamond and vice verse, and also the further away the cursor is from the middle of the diamond, the faster it spins.
it works perfectly awesome in Firefox and by itself, but when it's in IE, the cursor loses control of frame rate, so it spins at the highest frame rate regardless where the cursor is at. I used nextFrame(), prevFrame() to do the winding and rewinding job, and frame rate gets changed in ENTER_FRAME. I've heard some say that IE ignores frame rate per frame? is it true? if so, how do I fix it?
