I would make it my own of coarse, but I need my banner to be the same size and same effect when the pictures change. I have done a few major projects for websites and stuff using alot of Adobe Programs but i have this job where i need to make a map of a school with rollover mouse effects. So when the mouse rolls over the Admin Building on the map, a large picture of the Admin Building comes up. Then when the mouse is moved away the images closes. I need to do that with about 8 images. I have one main image which is an arial of the school, then there is different sections that i need to make 'active'
How can i go about doing this? i have looked for tutorials for ages now but they are either outdated or too advanced for me, i just need a tutorial that can show me how to achieve my goal. i cotton onto things very quickly so i dont get lost unless things get too advanced or there is a lack of explanation.

I used a little script from this website to make a button with rollover/roll-out effects (http:url..). In the end of the script, it says:

Now I want the button not to follow an external link, but to go to a specific frame number further in my movie.But I can't get it (not with an extra normal button,not with gotoAndPlay (52) etc.).
I'm fine with on(release) to take to a new frame etc but this is my situation.
Imagine a Windows PC. You click the Start Button, it makes the start menu appear, no matter what folder/window/software you have open. Now liken it to a flash movie. Interactive, to make a button to make a set of graphics appear in a set place on the frame.
I have made a simple Drag and Drop map, where its the map being dragged by the mouse. The thing is, i need to have a grid of buttons on this map, which you can click. But since im dragging the actual map, my buttons wont follow. They stay where they are.An example would be the united states world map, then each state is a button i can click. A problem would be that if the entire map is covered in buttons, then my mouse cant drag the background map as im selecting a button when i drag. perhaps i can make the buttons drag the map instead?This is the code for dragging the map:

how to make a graphic scale from 0 - 150% and then back to 100% using actionscript. I am learning actionscript and I would really like to start to learn how to get away from standard tweening and move into scripting it. There is an example of the movements I am looking to accomplish here :: This is part of the mctween examples - but this is accomplished with a rollover/out. I am trying to make an animated flash banner in which a graphic slides across a 774 by 100 px stage which stops after playing once and repeats on mouse over.
I have managed to make the animation repeat on mouse over, but when it does, the graphic only slides to the point on the stage that the mouse moved over.
I have also tried this with a mouse out which works fine but is not quite what I was trying to achieve.

Inside movieClip container, there are colored buttons on layer1 and on layer2 there is movieClip square which covers the buttons. I want to use the color efffects and blending options of movieClip square to make layer 1 alpha. There are some blending options called alpha, difference, lighten and substract but Im not getting the right combinations. I want to make layer1 alpha only by using layer2.

When I push F11 in Flash Builder, it does a full build and runs in the context of my main ActionScript file. When I do the same in FDT, it builds the last selected file in the Flash Explorer pane and runs in the context of that. While I can see how it could be useful, I'd much rather always run in the context of my entire application. How can I make FDT always build and run my main file?
Possibly relevant: I imported the project from Flash Builder into FDT.

Specifically, I need the submenu items to have different y spacing, width, font heights & background. No probs doing a separate movieclip, but how do I assign a certain movieclip depending on whether it's a main menu or submenu item? Secondly, when the cursor moves off the movie, the last open submenu stays open! This happens in this site's example as well. It only closes when the cursor hits another main menu.
