i've a problem with my setFocus. i will use [n] to identfy the line in the code. this is a MouseEvent.CLICK - function from an other dynamic,non-selectable textfield. the textfield in work is one with an embeded font and some text in it.if i use line [3], i'll get the no blinking courser and no possibility to enter some words. also if i mark some other and click after that in the input-textfield directly there will no courser anymore.but this only happens in the first time using the swf. if i first click into the input-textfield, then set the focus to something else and trying the steps i wrote over here, everything works fine.

Move Code To Second Frame?

I'm testing flash and decided to make an asteroids clone. It works well but all the code is loaded in the first, and only, frame.Now I want to add a preloader but I cant find the way to move the code to the second frame. I don't want to create a swf and embed it. Also there are no assets created in flash, it has been coded exclusively in flashdevelop (I find it easier to use).

I have 3 main movieclips with roughly 100 other related movieclips that I need to move together frame per frame. For example main movieclip1 has about 100 frames.  If main movieclip 1 is on frame 3, I want movieclips 4, 5, and 10 to also be on frame 100  I think the code may involve an array with forEach function.

I think this is the most simple setup I can get that will publish a microphone to a RTMP stream. This is an attempt to shave down a larger product. This demo will help a third party create a RTMP Stream Reader for mp3.How do I move from this snippet of code to a flash application? Most tutorials I've found so far were either about using menus or creating very complex animations. I just need a single button that will call this, or maybe an auto-load.

well i want to make buttons that on rollover move to left, on rollout move back to their initial position, and if clicked, they but stay this time at the final rollover place, and be there until something else is clicked. Using Tween class maybe? I tried the easeOut. But if will write 2 Tween, the 2nd one will overwrite the 1st one, so I only see the obj moving in the 2nd Tween direction, not the 1st Tween direction. I know the coordinates for the 2nd Tween below is not correct (cos all coordinates shld follow the defined reference point), so I need to find out the logo's width and height. As stupid as my question might sound, i have spent the last 2 weeks reading oop books; but could use some guidance. I have a flash project that is basically a supped up slide show. On the stage i have the following: main_mc (instance name = images_mc) = movieclip which holds "pictures" ui1 (instance name = ui1_mc) = user interface that allows user to draw on picture (when drawing is enabled) ui2 (instance name = ui2_mc) = activates invisible hit areas (buttons) on select pics, when hit area is clicked, we jump to another pic in the main_mc.

I accomplished all of this on the timeline, but am updating the code to OOP. I am having A HELL OF A TIME trying to figure out how to store references to the instances (images_mc etc..), so i can control them from varying class files. I have found it is easy to control the instances from the documentclass, but not from unrelated class files. Example: images_mc.stop(); works in document class; but ovieclip(Parent).images_mc.stop() doesn't seem to work from any class file.(ui2 class file for example);

Note the red code, I need to repeat this an unknown amount yet multiple times but with the number on the end of enemy incremented by 1 each time. It starts with 0 as you can see the code just above the red. I heard about for loops using 'i' but im unsure about how to use it.

edit: ah, this forum isnt letting me highlight red. Everything in this editor is also failing. well, when I say code in red i mean this code:

I'm looking for a workaround to the "AdSense does not let you choose only images but no flash" issue. I'm rather a newbie to JS, but is there any way for one script to prevent other scripts embedded in a site from detecting the presence of the flash plugin? Even if it doesn't work with AdSense, it would be nice to know if there's a hack to do this that might work in other settings.By the way, I suppose I wouldn't care if it failed to work on IE or obsolete browser versions.

Basically its a movement and hittest script for a maze. It works great but I need it running within an onEnterFrame in the frame code.

Currently the code is on a clip which contains the clip "walls". and player is on the _root timeline.
