I am developing an AIR application, which provides the author information once the pdf is dragged into the application. How can we get AIR to detect the authors of any specific PDF..? would i use byteArray?

For example, I want to make a .swf where the user can move around X's and O's representing players (say basketball) in order to depict a set play. There's a button to create keyframes for the X's and O's to tween between. And then an input text box to name the play. Can the play be saved? I have been asked to 'take care' or getting some adobe licenses for the Flash IDE.So, my question is this. With the recent announcement of Flash 11, does that mean the CS5.5 author tool will be updated to handle output to Flash 11? It works great, however, the workflow could be simplified (possibly) if the shared library were saved in XFL format.I saved a copy of the shared library FLA as XFL. Then, I tried to import a symbol to another FLA from the XFL as author-time symbol references. Flash recognized the XFL document as an accepted source, but did not offer a menu giving a selection of symbols.

I have some scrolling content (info). I've also made my own scroll bar.I want the scrollBar dragger to be positioned in relation to the info._y as the user scrolls info.I have created two vars: one that worsk out where info._y is as a percentage and the other that works out where the scroll._y dragger should be as a percentage...

also onMouseWheel working too.I need a small bit of code that takes the % of info._y and moves the scrollBar dragger to the same % but in relation to the Stage.height...so if projectGalleryPercent = 50%, make dragger._y 50% of Stage.height using scrollBarPercent.
What I want is a hint how to make a specific thing happen while clicking a specific button. Like "if I click button 1, do this". Would like to use this script though I'm gonna add buttons over time and this is an easy way to have the functionality working.

i need to change the colour of a graphic in a specific movie in a specific frame. if i have a movie clip instance-named "sidetext" thats 15 frames long, and i want a graphic in the movie, called "letterp" to change to one of four colours that i want it to randomly at frame 10 and stay that colour uintil frame 15, how can i do this?

I have a sliding menu, and need to loadMovies when specific clips are in specific positions. For gallery, for example, the code I'm using is:

But with that code, gallery.swf loads by itself, regardless of the position of SLI.

Basically once my animation loads I want to pull in an external SWF at a specific frame, basically like the "home page" swf that will display first. Underneath that I will have "About Us, Contact, etc..." and those will each load an external SWF into my movie clip. My movieclip right now is called mcHolder. It could be nice - in the website - to retrieve info like "online users attending", "running / streaming state" (online or offline) and other relevant info about the streaming, so I on the website can display how many that are online when a webtv event is streaming.
