ActionScript 3.0 :: Drag And Drop With Smooth Move...Tween?
Oct 22, 2010
just start to learn AS3 and I use simple MC with CODE SNIPPET for Drag and Drop action, so is anyone know how can I make effect after I drag MC that MC make smooth movement after drop...with tweener or and how? Here is my snippet code:
Im trying to achieve a smooth drop and drag, where when you release the object it comes to a slow halt continuing in the direction that the mouse was moving in.
I have a page where you can move around objects when you click and hold. When you release they stop in place. What I want to happen is when you are dragging and the release the object will drift with ease in the direction you were dragging.
I have a tree (in Flex 3.5), and I want to use the drag & drop functionality, but I want to let the user only move nodes, not copy them. I tried listening for the dragOver event and change the drag event's action property if it indicates a copy operation, and also listening for the keyDown event and changing the feedback using the DragManager if the pressed key was ctrl, but to no avail.
I am going to have what is essentially a grid of 12 boxes. 4 across 3 high. There will be an object in each box. What I want to do is to allow the user to drag an object from one box into another. This will cause the other objects in the boxes to move up one position to fill in the gap that is left by the object being dragged. I have no idea what this is called or so I don't know how to Google it. Does anybody know if there are any tutorials on how I can get this done?
how to get my move drag and drop a copy of the reindeer. (see attachment) I've been mulling over for so long i'm starting to confuse myself. It's go to be something simple that i'm over looking.

I am learning AS3 and trying to get an object to be able to move / rotate / scale and drag and drop. I found 2 seperate tutorials one does button clicks to move and rotate code.[code]When I add the second lot of code to the first app (ie add a layer and insert the script ) change myPoint to rocket . I get the following errors:'{' expected
tutorial where when you click on a movie clip it moves to a certain location on the page and then zoom in and makes it a certain size. Also i want it to move back to its original location if you click it again.I want the move and zoom to be smooth so the users can see it move across the screen then gradually get bigger.
I'm trying to make a simulation where a person can drag 2 different objects to any 4 predefined targets on the stage. Based on the position of the 2 objects there will be a different output text. I hope I described that clearly. I would also like the 2 objects to snap to the 4 targets. Im very new to AS. Im starting to be able to read it a bit but still can not wright it.
I want to have an image and when I click on the image ,one can hold down the mouse and drag a copy to where ever on the stage and when one lets go, one can drag another and another with each copy still being able to be dragged after released.this is what i have but its pretty simple and doesn't work....
stage.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN,makeA Box); var i:Number = 1; //i will be the total number of boxes var newBox:myMC = new myMC();[code]....
Im trying to do a drag and drop system where the user can drag a movie clip into an area. Although i would like to make it snap to a target instead of just sitting wherever it lands in the area. Problem Two:
The next thing i am trying to do is when the user has a movie clip on a target already, and trys to put another movie clip in that target area, it will replace the one thats in there and go back to its current position. Here is the script of what i have done so far:
I have added drag and drop to some of my custom components.The drag event is fired on mouse down.If you mouse down and move the component around then drop it repeatedly its fine.But if you mousedown and drag the component around drop it and THEN just click on the component it inits the drag but doesn't fire the drop event.Its almost like you have to move the component for it to fire the drag drop event.This is very annoying as i'm removing the component on drag init and adding it again on drop, so just clicking on it makes it disappear.
I am using Flash - Actionscript 3.0 - to load image paths (and ultimately the images) from an XML file and then I am using the Tweener class to animate the tweens to scroll across the header. The problem: The scroll is not smooth, its quite choppy and I can't figure out why. I've read around the web that enabling bitmap smoothing works but I don't know how to do that with images loaded from XML. Need to know some common reasons for this choppy tween. You can check out the scroll at one of our pages such as... [URL]
Code: import fl.transitions.Tween; import fl.transitions.easing.*; import fl.transitions.TweenEvent; import caurina.transitions.* var imageLoader:Loader; var currentLoader:Loader; [Code] .....
seen a few different as 2.0 code for a drag and drop, doesn't have the smoothness of as 3. Anyone have a link to drag and drop multiple movieclips, no target necessary. Just a smooth drag and drop.
i have to create a movie where a text string move in horizontal.
the problem is that in the movie (800px wide) the text should go from right to left in about 7 seconds (so it have to go about 400px to the left in 7 sec).
i created a motion-tween with ease for my "text" and the tween is long (at 30fps) 30*7=210 frames.
the result is that the text DON'T MOVE FLUID... it's not a uniform movement... it's too visible the fact that it moves X pixel each x frames. it's the exact opposite of SMOOTH MOVEMENT.
How can i obtain a smooth slow-motion text movement?
I am playing around with AS3 and what I'm trying to do is pretty simple. I have a little test FLA: http:[url]......There is a button that when you scroll over it the alpha goes up to .90 and when you mouse off it it goes back down to .50 alpha.This is all controled by Tween in AS3. The 3 problems that I'm having are:
1) How to define a variable that that is a number that has a blank value like with a string its:
Code: var test:String = "";
Right? But I have no idea how do do the same thing with a number var.
2) Next thing that I'm confused about it there a way to get a smooth mouse alpha tween on the button. Like as it currenlty is when you mouse over it goes from .50 to .90% alpha. See this isn't all that bad but if you mouse over the button again real fast before the tween goes back to .50 it looks like it get lighter really fast and then gets darker.
3) Finally when you click the replay button the button alpha jumps down to .50 no matter what. You have to actully mouse off and then mouse back on for it to go back up to .90 like it should be when your mouse is hovering on the button.
I have an icon of a railway train which pulls into a station. At the moment it is a motion tween, and I have had to edit every few frames, modifying the train's position, so that it slows down as it enters the station.
This is messy, and time consuming. Is it possible for someone to give me guidance on how to slowly decelerate an object? The train is almost isometric, so doesn't actually move horizontally; but "south-westerly" across the landscape:

I have the following script in both frame 1 and 2 to let a movieclip move from right to left on the stage:
[Code]...
And the clip is indeed moving from right to left on the stage and when it reaches _x -550 it is going back to it's starting position _x 250 only the movement isn't smooth at all. What should I do to make the movement more smooth or should I use a completely different script?
I have one very large movieclip, and I'd like to create a very smooth (eased), tween, that moves it around the stage, on mouse move. so far, I've read the "get mouse direction" article, and that's helped a lot. and I'm calculating the distance the mouse is moving.. and that's all good and dandy,.. but I'm having a little trouble converting that into a smooth scroll.. I'd like to use tweenmax preferably, and not an on enterframe.
So I can tween shapes and such for their colours, but when I try to colour tween text, it won't work. I've tried various things, motion tween, shape tween, making them movie clips, making them graphics, ect. How do I make text tween between colours to get a nice smooth transition?
So, I have a tween where a movie clip starts at 0 alpha and ends at 100.. I want to move the clip to a new place on the stage, but when I do it creates a motion path.. Edit multiple frame doesnt work either, so how does someone move a tween if the tween doesnt have a tween path?
