I have a movieClip that I want to drag across the stage on a mouse event. But I also want it to be dragged horizontally only. Also, looking to be able to limit the distance you can drag left and right.The dragging works fine.Here is my code:

I have got myself a movieclip that I would like to be able to drag left and right. I have got this sorted but I would also like the movieclip to ease to a stop depending on the speed it has been dragged. Is this possible?
I've been putting this together and ran into a wall. I'd like to have this drag scroller drag left and right. I'm working on a schoolproject and I have a flashapplication that I want on my site. In this image you see a horizontal scrollbar and a vertical scrollbar. In the middle are the photographs, those you'll click in the horizontal scrollbar and they will enlarge (with some text). That's the red arrow. The yellow arrow is the thing I wanted too. When you click a photograph in the horizontal bar en you hold em, you can drag that photograph in the vertical bar and drop it there.

But I want do drag my object in a line that isn't horizontal or vertical. For example, I would like to drag the object from the top left corner to the bottom right corner, in one straight line.
I tried to rotate the bounds rectangle, but it seems that you can not rotate a Rectangle.

I'm currently learning Flash (CS4, AS3) and am creating a game. I have currently 1 flv file with 4 scenes, I then move from left to right and then to scene 2 and go from left to right. This is the game where items pop up that need to be clicked on and you get points.
Is there any way I can combine these onto 1 scene? Flash only allows you to have a maximum of 2880px wide.The reason for this is the transition between the scenes is RUBBISH and that my AS is not working correctly in between scenes (it loses values).

I have a function that states when movieclip1 is dragged and hits a line then it stops the drag, however it seems to stop the entire drag function in the swf on the other movieclips even though they arent called in the function.[code]

i have load in a .swf and this .swf is make up of one drag object. When i load into my _level0, i can drag it but it seem then the drag is not smooth, instead it is lagging. Thus i went back to the indiviual files and try to drag on it and it was not lagging. ...why is it like that? All the files are still on my local disk.

My problem is when I try to create start drag stop drag on top of these swf's horizontally - I want to be able to move the whole stage horizontally containing separate columns.
I am not sure how to code it and it ends up locking the "start drag top drag" inside the columns. How can I do this so that each column is scrollable and scroll to other columns without using a scroll bar...

Though there seems to be this strange gap all the way around my site in the html page. If you click on a client a set of images come up that move according to the x/y position of the mouse hover. This is something I'm wanting to create for my graphic design portfolio for a website, having 2 simple images that when you hover over them; dependent on the direction you move the mouse reveals more images. I have no flash skills at all and I've scoured the internet to try and find one.
I currently have a document set up with a large movie clip (about 2000px wide) and have created 2 buttons - left and right. I would like for when you mouse over the left or right button, the movieclip would slide across the screen horizontally.
I have a movieclip that I am moving behind a mask to achieve a panning effect. I am able to move my movie clip onRollOver and stop onRollOut. So far so good, except that I have no boundaries or margins on my movie clip so when I keep my mouse on my button, my movieclip continues to move indefinitely forever. I need help with MC's animation causing a weird conflict. I have a movie clip come out and appear to drag another to the side of the stage. I get a weird wobble and dither from the mc that is dragged in horizontal motion. I have included a simple example, the original has complex motion on the "arms: so I used a simple box to demonstrate problem. I am at a loss as to what is causing this. This is a flash cs4 file.
