The scenario: Imagine a horizontal drop down menu. That menu is a transparent SWF. For it to have a drop down I need to set the movie dimensions for something like width: 1000px; height: 250px; Those 250px will overlap an html slider. Users won't be able to click the slider because the flash movie has a higher z-index.
I am using dreamweaver to embed a flash video, but cant find how to enable full screen.

I have a SWF file and I am trying to embed it into an HTML. I used the following code:

If you go to [URL, you can see the problem. The button is blinking and all invisible text field are displayed. However, if I open the swf file directly, there is no problem.
If I'm loading images via the <img> tag in a dynamic text field and an IOError is thrown, what would I attach the event listener too? the text field?
I tried this...

I'm developing a Flash application which is communicating with Javascript to allow more features such as custom html input etc., by placing an absolute positioned div on top of the flash application and controlling it's position etc. with Flash & Javascript.
Because these html elements have to appear above the flash content, I figured the following basic css would be enough to do the trick:

So, the htmlContent has a higher z-index than the flash content and thus it should be shown above it. Unfortunately, this only seems to work when you set the Flash object's "wmode" parameter to "transparent".
The problem with this setting is that it's seriousely decreasing the application's framerate to an unacceptable amount.
For static content this does not seem to be a problem, however for my application there's all kinds of elements that you can drag around which have to be moved real-time (while moving the mouse).
So, how do I enable html content on top of flash content without using the "transparent" wmode parameter or how do I optimize framerate when using the "transparent" wmode parameter?
I am designing a web application in Flex 4 and currently facing an issue rendering advanced HTML tags and entities in Flex 4. All I want to do is basically render an HTML text coming to me something like the one given below:-

question: is it possible to click on the button in aaa.html and have the action occur in bbb.html? (for example, clicking the button in aaa.html will load a swf in bbb.html)
OK, this is starting to annoy me pretty intensely. For some reason the esc key shortcuts are not functioning, and nothing I do seems to be able to restore them. Even ticking the 'Esc Key Shortcuts' option in the actions panel dropdown menu has falied to make it possible for me to do as much as type 'esc-s-t' to bring up 'stop()'

What I'm trying to do with it is load movie clips when the user clicks an image using a lightbox effect that I built in Flash.Everything is working fine except that when the movie clip loads on top of the site, I want the buttons of the carousel component to be disabled so the user can't load another movie until the one active is closed.I know how to disable a button, which I'm assuming would work here, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the button instance names out of the component to disable them.[code]Does anyone know if I could modify this event to give me button instance names instead of obj.id? I do a lot of multimedia presentations for events/awards/summits using flash where I have to assign numbers/letters to call certain screens (eg. a speaker screen) at any time, and I understand Adobe have disabled the keypress functions entirely when publishing out of CS5.
Is it at all possible to bypass this and allow the key presses to be enabled? Or is this pretty much a like it or lump it it doesnt work anymore issue.
The only work around I have been able to work out is to save down to CS4 and publish from that, which kind of seems a bit silly and backwards.

I test if the accessibility is enabled by checking the value of Accessibility.active, which is always false in my sample application containing only a datagrid and some buttons, using the four above strategies. As I'm new to Flex, I don't really know where else I could search to enable it, and no, Accessibility.active = true; isn't a solution, as it's a read-only property
