I have a text input box for me to enter text. The text box property is set to dynamic.

How can I code in AS to achieve this action?
Initial state of text input box is disabled, when I press "I" or "i" text input enabled and I can type in text. After that, I press another key, will disable the typing of text again.

Jan 31, 2010I have a movie clip. Inside that movie clip, I have an input text with an instance name of text. I also have 2 frames of actionscript.
How can I make it that the 2 frames are disabled, and only enabled once you click on the input text?

Currently i have one input box named input_1 with a variable attached to it named "choc_1".
Also, i have a dynamic text box named dynamic_1 with variable "choc_1".
When the user types something on the input box then the dynamic box changes instantly and displays what the user has written.
auto scale-size the fonts to a smaller size if the user types many letters.
The input_1 box has a 13 character limit. My initial font size is 200, i want to scale down so when the user types 10 letters they fit the box and they don't go out of screen. I want to use one line, so wrap or multiline is not possible.

Apr 28, 2011the last of many problems, is that at the very end of the test, you're shown your score, and you have the option to type your name in a text box and click "save". Doing so will apply you score data (time elapsed, date, correct answers and percentage) along with the name you typed in, and output in a form, that you can save or print off, or whatever. The problem is, the input text box will not let you type in it. If you mouse over it, the mouse stays a pointer, you don't get the text tool. If you click on it, the cursor appears for a split second after you release the mouse button, but you cannot type anything in it.This is the actionscript for the output form:

I need the ability to click the Bold button and it bolds or unbolds at the cursor so if I hit the bold button what I type from that point on will be bold until I hit the button again and then it goes back to regular. I am able to change it to bold or unbold by selecting the text and clicking the button but I also need to do it without selecting.

Mar 4, 2010I have buttons that are just static text: the text color changes on the over and down state, and I have a larger solid rectangular box on the text in the "hit" state.When I roll over the text, the state changes only occur outside the text area where the hit area is defined outside of the text.I tried the advice of going to "control" --> "enable simple buttons" but that just made the text flicker when the mouse is over the button,
p.s. AS3 works fine on the buttons. It's just the hit area that's the problem.

All was going well... but then I changed my code from value1 = "password" to value1 = password.text; and the php instead of coming back with the user's password, comes back undefined. Since, it is for flex mobile project, when I input any text in arabic, it shows separate characters. Arabic is a language that doesn't have separate characters. It should combine letters to form specific word.
