ActionScript 3.0 :: Export A Movieclip From Flash
Jun 25, 2009I have certain content in a movieclip. I want to export it into formats like eps or ai. Is it possible? I have done jpg and png but not sure about vector formats..

Feb 8, 2011The background is there is a client and a server
Client modifys the movieclip like whiteboard,
then he/she uploads the movieclip to the server.
The server exports the movieclip to swf file and store it in specific directory.
Are there anyway to do that, or simply a way to export movieclip to swf ?
ActionScript 3.0 :: Export A MovieClip As A PDF?
Mar 29, 2009I am making an application and I need to export a movieClip as a PDF. This movieCLip has both images and text. I know how to ad the movieCLip as an image to the PDF, but I need to have the text selectable. No problem...I add every child of the movieCLip to the PDF. No comes the problem. I don't know how to rotate the text inside the PDF. Is there anyway I can rotate it and still be selectable?

Feb 2, 2010I have a script that create and positions a lot of movieclips (almost 2000) in an isometric perspective. These movieclips are in fact each grid of the big isometric movieclip. Okay...The thing is... can I create these grids and positions them and then export it all already created and positioned into and external SWF with all properties or someway to cache this script?I think if I put all movieclips manually and position them manually too... the compilation could be faster and the drag stuff could be faster too.

Oct 27, 2009I've been trying to export my .fla as a .mov from the Export>Export Movie option in the File menu. It will start exporting but once the progress meter gets to the end it just stops and never finishes.
I don't think it has anything to do with:
A: multiple scenes
B: actionscript directing to each scene
C: movieclips
since I was doing the exact same thing in CS3 without a problem.
What i'm doing now in CS4 that I wasn't in the CS3 version:
A: Motion tweens
B: importing .ai files to my library
C: using symbols created for flash in illustrator from imported .ai files.

Apr 3, 2009I need to export a 60 animation from flash. It has text and image animation on the timeline, no actionscript. The swf file when published is 5 mb. When I export as an .mov, it is 768 mb. Also, there is some jumping and stuttering.

What this script does is it lets you print the flash screen you have using the new flash.display.BitmapData class.I was able to run it on my server however I also want to be able to save the jpg image that it generates on a folder on my server. What I did is I added a an image file name in the imagejpeg() function
imagejpeg($img, "filename.jpg", 90);
The image is being saved on my server however, now the image is not being displayed on the browser. Both on IE and Firefox.
IDE :: Flash - Export To Animated Gif?
Jan 1, 2008I have made a relatively short movie ( 90 frames ) and am trying to make it an animated gif so that I can attach it to emails. When export it everything looks crisp and smooth except the text looks awful - all pixelated. Increasing the resolution that the movie is exported at does The text looks horrible even at 300 dpi. How can I make the movie an animated gif and keep the font looking good? Is there any way to make it look as crisp as in the swf. I have tried different anti-aliasing settings but nothing seems to work.

Nov 3, 2009I have to export my animation to a video file type such as .AVI or .WMV to put in on a DVD. Using the export function in Flash delivers a kind of blurry videofile with too much noise. Is there perhaps another way (or another program) to convert .FLA (or .SWF) to video? Install better codecs, maybe?

Sep 19, 2010Not sure why, but when I export my movie as a PNG sequence (using Flash CS4 or CS5), the colors in the resulting PNGs are very washed out and flat. I have imported some graphics with alpha channels from Fireworks.I have tweaked all the export settings that I can find. The filter type is set to "none," smoothing is off, and the color mode is 24-bit with alpha channels. No dithering or interlacing. Always looks muddy and flat, and gradients have banding that isn't present in the original. I've got CS4 on my PC and CS5 on my Mac, they both give the same bad result.
I'm doing this as a workaround for CS4/CS5's compromised QuickTime export (export framerate is not maintained), so this quality issue is pretty disappointing. Anyone have a workaround for this workaround? Here's a comparison of the Flash workspace (left) and exported PNG (right) from CS5:
