I'm trying to embed my .swf file with swfobject, and pass the parent html code to the flash file as a string. Here is the javascript code:

Everything works fine until I use the toString() function in the flashvars line, which breaks the code and causes the .swf file to fail loading.

is there anyway to place this embed code into my flash file? It's a code to an interactive flash file that I need to embed on a portfolio I'm making. Yet the code that Flash gives you is a horrible messy bit of code. Why is 5 lines of code = to Flash's default HTML embedding code. Am i right in thinking theres no disadvantage to use the jQuery version?

In AS2, there is the Classes/ directory within the Configuration folder. Very easy, nice. In AS3, that folder is not consulted, and I understand the Flash IDE does some kind of internal mapping.
I have created a SWC and added it to my Library path. However, I would like to package the SWC in a (code-only) component and put it in a folder that Flash is, by default, looking at to consult swc's. Alternatively, if there were an "include" directory, I could put the as files. However, when I try to put the SWC in the Configuration folder's Libraries, or ActionScript 3.0/libs (the "libs" I had to create), or I put the as files in the Include folder, my Flash code cannot access the stuff being imported.
I found this code for embedding fonts 100% with code - bypassing the CS4 library, but I'm not understanding how I call it.If, for example, I put it in an external as file called globals, do I call the function lie this: globals.Test()?It's the "extends MovieClip" part that's confusing me.[code]

View 2 RepliesChanged AS3 defualt linkage to merged into code, and now my flash file will not load into firefox. It works fine in Chrome, but IE8 and firefox site at frame 1 of my movie, and no code is executed. Works perfectly in chrome. What do I do?the reason i changed to merged into code is because i made an imbeded preloader, and using preloader method as custom preloader loop and setting default linkage to Runtime Shared Library (RSL) borks the file.

I have another page in the same directory as the swf file and it works fine so I know that swfobject and the swf file are working properly. Any ideas why the swf file is not showing properly in the first page?

I have two example pages. http:[url]....this displays 100% width and height flash without a problem across all the browsers including IE9.http:[url]....this displays 100% width and height with min-height and min-width without a problem across all the browsers except for the IE9.I need #2 link work with IE9. (fullsized flash with min-height and min-width).

Ive been trying to include an swf with buttons, that plays .flv videos, into this html page: [URL] (feel free to view source) Im having trouble because i think the swf 'links' to flv files, and neither are in the same directory as the html page - the swf is just not showing up. i dont want to duplicate the swf and its corresponding flash files if theyre already hosted once by this client - does anyone have a solution, or is the problem actually something else? the swf files can be downloaded at: [URL]

I tried SwfObject for loading swf on a website. It is all good with webkit and mozila based browsers but not with IE.[URL].. In IE 8 the footer not loading, it like crashes after the swf loads. In IE 7 the player not working, so the footer loads.
How can I debug it? I have a Mac, Linux, Win7 with IE 8 64 bit. On IE 64-bit it gives a message to update the flash player but there is no update for this player from Adobe.
