ActionScript 3.0 :: Flash Not Loading On Webpage After Navigating To Diff Page Then Returning?

I seem to have an issue with a flash I have written. The person who I made it for is telling me that first time he loads the page with the Flash in it, it loads fine. However, at this point if he navigates to another portion of the site, then goes back to the Flash page, he says it freezes on the loading bar. Consistently everytime, but only on his work computer, not home computer or lap-top. I think it might be a caching issue in IE, but I am kind of stumped, anyone ever experience this?

My website splash page is around 780x480 and the rest of the flash site is all 800x500. I'm not quite sure how to work this, but I want to have the splash page play automatically then go to the main page of the website. Can someone help me out with this? And does it matter that they are different sizes?

I have a flash piece that just chages the image displayed on the screen. The images are stored extrenally so I can easily change them out from time to time. Is it possible to navigate to a web page if you click on an image? If so, how is that coded or can you direct me to where I can find out how to do this?

I prepared a movie and put into my aspx page and there is a button on this movie which navigates to another aspx page. It has to use querystring information to decide which page to go.
-The page which i put my flash movie is : entry.aspx
-If the page is : entry.aspx?lang=tr : it will go to the turkish page on button click, (url : "mturkish.aspx")
-if the page is : entry.aspx?lang=en : it will go to the english page on button click, (url : "menglish.aspx")

I've been using the FLVPLAYBACK component in Flash CS3 and had put it in a separate swf from a main swf page that loads it and in which the navigation buttons are.My problem is that when I navigate to another swf by clicking on the nav buttons, the FLV PLAYBACK swf disappears, but the audio remainsthe audio and/or the video netstream by giving me the actionscript for it and by telling me where to put this script exactly.

Basically I have a flash website built on different frames of the timeline, the simplest way I think.Some of these frames have movie clips embedded into them using the flv playback component class.The problem I have is the following, the site works fine and videos play fine, but whenever I navigate offa part of the website to another, from a frame to another - the sound of the clips that were playing keepsplaying on the background and never stop and it keeps building up every time I navigate of.f each page.I want to remark that I believe is not only the sound that keeps playing "invisible" but the whole clip butThis is the AS code for my buttons on an example frame, would you be so kind to tell me what I should add or change

A SWF (published as AS2 for player version 9) sits on a page called home.aspx with other textual content. The SWF is a wrapper that loads in various other SWFs based on flash cookie data. Here is the problem: In I.E. (and not Firefox), sometimes the wrapper SWF hangs and fails to load the external SWFs.
The only time this happens is when returning back to this home page via another link that ends in a hash mark (home.aspx#) or to (default.aspx) which is supposed to act the same as home.aspx Also, this doesn't happen every time. Only sometimes. Anyone have any clues? I'd love to provide a link but this is on a beta server at the moment and I don't think I'm allowed to.

I found a flash movie on the internet and I modified it to meet my needs and works perfectly, but when I uploaded to my website it doesn't load correctly: it should have load the spiral carousel photoslide but instead it loads only the background photo. The flash movie is inside a folder with all the flash files included including the actionscript files, I uploaded that folder to my website and in my index.html page I've put my flash movie.

I am trying to load the contents of a web page into flash, however I keep getting undefined when I trace the data. For example:

It points to the right address, why isn't my data loading though? Do I need to have a crossdomain policy?

I am trying to transistion myself from AS 2.0 to AS 3.0. Everything is going really well except I am so confused about URLLoad & URLVariables.I've been trying to load external data via ASP and it does send back the variable I want, but that variable also has all the HTML of the page too.If someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong that would be great. i have a question about loading an mp3 in flash. the mp3 is loading & playing fine, but if i click a button to go to a new frame, and then click another button to return to the home page, a new copy of the same audio clip is loaded over the one that is already playing, thus causing two audio files to play at the same time. it will keep loading a new copy of the audio clip every single time i return to the home page. how do i go about correcting this? the following is the code i am using:

I want to say that the code I am working with is the same found here: [URL] The code is working perfectly (pictures are displaying) when opening the file, work_diesel.swf by itself. However, my problems occur when I open default.swf, and then navigating to the section work. From there I hit advertising, and in that section DIESEL. HERE is where the problem is visible. The pictures are not loading AT ALL when doing it this way (the correct and final way).
I am just wondering if anyone can pin point the problem for me so I can change it. It must be said that the work_diesel.swf is loading from an external source into default.swf.

However, on a bright note its coming!!!! So far, everything is going well and I am now seeing the light with AS3I do have a question on returning a variable from a function that loads an external CSS. This particular function is located inside a LoadStyleSheet.as class along with another public function that sets text properties to fields when accessed. What I am looking for is accessing the stylesheet after its been loaded in another class. I know in AS2 I could use the Delegate method for something similar to this situation. Not sure what the next step is for AS3. Anyhow, function script is below.

i'm working in CS3, with AS2
I'm taking a website i put together, and plopping it on a DVD.
There are 3 parts to it.
One, is the flash .exe, which brings up a small splash page with general info on me. At the bottom there are two links to webpages i made. I would like to keep all the websites files ON the DVD, and not have the end-user need to have an internet connection, although in these times, i guess i could get by that way.
2nd part, is the webpage's main page. The main page contains a flash frame, in which there are six buttons, each with AS(2) looking to a folder on the DVD, to bring up another URL in the same window. Ru:

weird thing is, this works when on the hdd, but as soon as i put it on the DVD and try to run it from there, the main page doesn't connect/open the link I specified. I've also tried it:

I have a button instance mc "mcBtn", inside this instance i have the actual Btn graphic symbol and AS layer.inside the AS layer i have defined onRollover, onRelease, onRollOut methods.if i rollOver/Out/Press Btn it works fine and Btn animates in some way. I needed to access mcBtn from _parent timeline AS WELL, so i defined a method mcBtn.onPress [one which is not defined inside mcBtn yet], and inside onPress told mcBtn to animate some other content....
What happened is, that onPress works fine and after pressing Btn, requested content is animated, BUT all other methods defined inside mcBtn stopped working! [no animation when rollOvered, rollOut-ed, onRelease-d]

I have an invisible movie clip I want to go to the NEXT page, as it goes to that page, I want it to essentially remove itself (page1.swf). e.g. page1.swf (contains fancy.swf - [AS2], 4 images, several invisible MCs with code) has an invisible MC + on click = remove page1.swf.
To be clear, this does work. It goes to page2.swf and page2.swf goes to page1.swf as it should. The issue is that if the user repeatedly does this (just 2 or 3 times) the fancy.swf becomes impossible to control and Flash (CS5) crashes. I think this is due to the fact it's not unloading the entire thing, it's only unloading fancy.swf on click (I hope). So underneath page2.swf is page1.swf, and when the user clicks back to page1.swf, page2.swf AND page1.swf are underneath that, and so on and so forth.

So here's our project hosted by our school. [URL] We dont have a preloader so you have to wait til it's loaded. After the dialogue, you will enter the first GAME (training phase). We call it MEMORY MATRIX. The game is an external swf so it is expected that it will load right away after the button is clicked. The problem is it wont function the way it is expected to and the sound wont load also.
Actually we have 6 external SWFs all in all to be loaded by the main swf. 2 external sounds and 2 external JPEGs and memory matrix is just one of the external files. The paths are correctly set. There are no sub folders. The index.htm is placed together will all the files needed for the game. If I run this using my files here on my desktop, it functions well.
