As soon as you slide this bar mc[0] start moving and more you move the slide bar more mcs you move, yet all of them one by one.

I have a few thumbnails and when you click on one the image slides in from the right. That part is fine. What I really want is for the user to click on a different random thumbnail and have the current image slide out as the new image slides in. My code so far:

I'm trying to create a movie clip with images that will slide from one image to another using next and previous buttons. I want a sliding effect. For example on this site: [URL] The right side large image you can slide the image by using the arrows. That's exactly what I want...but in flash.

i know what is wrong with this function? This is a function which I use to trigger an action with different time duration. When I call this function it just wont work.

I would like to start a timer on a button release which will trigger a "time up" on the user when a reasonable time to respond has been reached. I think I know how to use getTime to set a starttime variable but how do I trigger the "time up" without any user interaction?
This is the code I have:

I am trying to figure out how to trigger a button's over state (i.e. play the over state movie clip for about 4 seconds and then return to the up state) without the mouse event.
The playing of the movie clip would occur when an Action Script cue point in an flv was reached. I think I have the right code for the cue point handling, but have no idea how to specify the over state of a button, or how to tell it to play for a specified time and then return to it's up state.[code]...
I'm attempting to use Flash for displaying "scrolls" on our educational access channel. I have an announcement on each frame, which has a 7 sec delay, and a footer that displays the current time. What I would like to do, using the vars the Hours and the Minutes trigger a command that at a set time, like 8:20, it would jump to another swf file that might contain a video playback component. I can't seem to come up with the right combination to trigger it a set time. Here is what the frame 1 AS contains.

I'm trying to create a basic slideshow in which the viewer uses buttons to advance through the slides/images. After I click the button to move to the second image, the button no longer works to advance to the next photo. Unfortunately Flash doesn't display an error message so I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I'm guessing that since I'm an ActionScript newbie it's something relatively simple that I'm missing. View 6 Repliesso here's what I'm trying to do:by selecting radiobutton1, image1 appears. And then...When selecting radiobutton2, image2 appears.and since radiobutton1 is no longer selected (cause there in same group) then image1 goes away.and so on.ps. without using imageloader unless I can make the loader window transparent so I can see whats behind it once the image is loaded. I think i would stick with putting the image in a MovieClip. (image is .gif for a reason)

I'm using some action script code for a slide. The problem is that when a smaller image is loaded, the big one stays behind for one slide more. Maybe this happens with all slides but is only visible when a smaller one is loaded... What could be done? The code is:

I have an image slide show that was created in Flash CS3 with a fade transition. I want to slow down the slide show so the pictures display longer. Is there an easier way to change the speed of the slide show other than dragging each frame on the time line?I dragged each frame 20 frames longer and it's not working for me. It seems as though some images display much longer than other.

View 6 RepliesI can go forward and then go back to the first image without a problem, but whenever I stop on the frame where the movie clip is, first image in the sequence is always white.I've been ever the code repeatedly, completely replaced movie clip, no alpha applied, etc.

I am using currentSlide.gotoNextSlide to change between slides, however I can't make it stop playback on load of each slide.I have a motion tween with I need to NOT play automatically when the slide loads... but no matter how many iterations of stop(), gotoAndStop(), etc I use, nothing will stop the clip from playing when it is loaded!

But I wanted to confirm if there is an easy and simple way to solve my problem.App type:Isometric Game.Problem statement:I am loading images in my flash app and have mouse events attached to them.The images I load are prop images like vehicles, trees, buildings etc., and all of them are transparent.Example: Red ball asset (please ignore the yellow background which I applied to describe the problem)If I click on the actual image area (colored in red), then every thing works perfect.I don't want to trigger mouseevent when I click on empty image part (or transparent area, which I have shown in yellow color)There is one way I know by creating masks in flash. I don't want to do it unless that is the final option left because I load image assets instead of flash assets and I don't want to create a new mask asset for all the assets.There is another method I was going to adopt by using getPixel method of Bitmap.
But there is another problem with this method.I might be able to ignore the click event when I click on the empty part of the asset but if there is some other asset is behind the image in the same location, then I need to process the click event for the occluded image.Well, thinking of solution to this problem takes me to the getObjectsUnderPoint where I can scan the occluded assets
How can I center a loaded photo [lets say 200x300] in an image control [lets say 400x600]? My image control has fixed dimensions while my contents have different dimensions and I want them to get centered automatically.
