I have a white box on a grey background.When the movieclip starts, it fades in with a Transition.[code]...
The thing is: I want to fade it back out right after it's done. I've tried looking this up, but there's on documentation to be found on it. Is there an event that is triggered, or do I need to set it myself?
I'm using flash.net.NetStream and flash.media.Video to play a .flv, here is some code:

So I've imported video into my flash using the "progressive download from a web server." When the video ends, I want it to automatically go back to the frame I played the video from. What code would I use to do that? I dont want to insert an "x" button, my boss wants it to be automatic. Do I insert a CuePoint? I don't know too much about flash so I'm not sure how to use onCuePoint or anything.
View 5 RepliesSo, I loaded an external video with playback component.And what I wanted it to do is, after the video finished, it will play the next frame after the frame the video mounted on.here the screenshot.The video is on "frame 1" on "Layer 1", and there is no video on frame 2, just blank frame, with button link to home.I already browsing across various post regarding this, but I cant apply their solution to my project, maybe due to my lack of skills.
View 3 RepliesI'm new to Flex, Flash, and ActionScript. I'm attempting to create a video player that starts another video when the previous video ends. I thought there might be an event that is thrown when the video finishes playing, but I have not been able to find it.
VideoEvent.COMPLETE is when the video is completely downloaded, not when it is completely done playing. Does such an event exist? how I could subclass SWFLoader, Image, or Video to support such an event?
How can I detect when a FLV video is ended in order to dispatch an event?

View 2 RepliesI'm a n00b @ AS but I have managed to put together a video player using NetStream that suits my needs perfectly. The thing I'd like to add is that it would display a certain image if the streamed .flv clip only has audio track in it (mp3 converted flv).
Q: is there a way to check if the .flv I'm streaming has video in it?
What's the most efficient way to run code after a loop has finished? My guess is that there's an event that flash will listen for when the loop has completed, but I can't find anything like that.

i need to know why my loaded swf ended up having wrong parent, i mean i load multiples external swf and then add it into a main swf which have one mainContainer( an instance of sprite class) to hold background image and it also hold several SWFcontainer which will hold the loaded swf.what went wrong is that the the loaded swf parent is the mainContainer (or if do not use the mainContainer it wil become the child of the stage).

I made a movie clip or movements and what not and put it on scene1 frame 1. And when the movie clip end I want it to go to scene1 frame2. I tried a few things I have:

Right now it says

How do can you detect and dispatch an event when a drag and drop operation ends prematurely? I need to know that the user is no longer dragging an item. Even if the dragDrop and dragComplete events do no fire. Its almost as if I need to add an event listener to the dragManager, but that's not really possible..

View 3 RepliesI am looking for a way to track if a video has already been played on someone's internet browser. I have a still image that comes to life from a video, so I really dont want to use controls but on the flip side the video will always play on launch of the page. I provided a mute button to give some control to stop sound but this is a site that gets a lot of repeat traffic. My client has contacted me saying that they have recieved several emails from users saying that the more they travel to the site the concept becomes less edgy and more annoying. I was wondering if anyone has ideas how to solve the issue I am facing. Is there a way to track cookies, cache, or temp internet files through actionscript?

I have build a imagegallery kinda app. and by clicking a thumb images are tweened with a Fuse.Problem is that when you start "buttonbashing", the tweens apparantly can't finish and result is that images spontaniously end up in the wrong place, or rotated. I guess it most be possible somehow to use the FuseKit to say "first finish this tween, and only then start the next"

This is a quiz application that gets the questions and answers to each questions from a ColdFusion web service. There are three types of questions, True or False, Multiple Choice with single selection, and Multiple Choice with multiple selections. So, based upon the question type, the application would dynamically generate the appropriate amount of radio buttons or check boxes for the users to select. I got these working. The problem that I am having is, I am not sure how to check what the users have actually selected. In some other forums and posts on other web site, it said that I can use event.currentTarget.selectedValue to get the user selection. But when I actually do it, I got a run-time error saying, "Property selectedValue not found on mx.controls.FormItem and there is no default value." My question is, what do I need to do to capture the user selections?

Recently i have visited so many video enriched flash site like this one [URL] Most of them shows video in full size. I downloaded the video using FF plugin. Video framesize is very small compared to the stage size. When i tried to add video and resize the video acoording to the page size , it slows the browser. I tried to embed the flv inside an swf and loaded the swf using normal loader and plyed it.. but the quallity and performance comapred to these site is very low..

So for instance I will have slide 1 (graphic) - slide 2 (video clip) - slide 3 (text). I have used CS4 before for one of my classes but that was a little while ago, and I feel like I'm starting over again. When I import the first graphic (.png), is there an option to have it resize to fit the stage?
