I have an external loaded mc text file scrolling and easingjust fine, my only issue is that when first pressed (scroller_mc),it jumps half way down my scroll line (line_mc). Every thing elseworks perfect after the scroll button (scroller_mc) makes theinitial jump to the middle of the scroll line. I have followed utorial 4 times and saw no mention of a bug, and

It has been awhile since I have worked in flash.Right now I am working on something where I would like a panel to disappear when someone mouses off the stage.stage.addEventListener(Event.MOUSE_LEAVE, leaveHandler); It usually works fine but if I move my mouse really fast it doesn't fire. I have also tried the same thing using a custom invisible button that surounds the perimeter of the stage and I have tried ROLL_OVER and MOUSE_OVERand again, if I do it too fast my event doesn't fire (I am using trace)I can't find anything on the net about this - is this typical of flash that if you move your mouse too fast you break it? Do I need to increase my frame rate (I would really rather not because I have perfectly timed animations - I am at 30 frames per second)

I suppose this one should fail as there is no way around it, but it succeeds and turns green. Whatam I doing wrong? When i put fail() before try-catch block it fails as it is suposed to. BTW using Flash builder 4.

In Chrome OSX last distro I'm seeing no hand cursor over any button or useHandCursor sprites that normally show the hand cursor in other browsers. Also, the nightly distro seems to fail to pick up the shift parameter of mouse events.

Is there a way to detect middle mouse clicks without the use of ASnative (or Key.isDOwn) through AS2?
It seems that ASnative is blocked while editing TextField, so i try to find different solution
I have a flash element on my page that you interact with by using the middle mouse scroll wheel. The page is long. So when scrolling with the mouse wheel it interacts with the Flash element AND scrolls the browser window.
Is there a way to disable browser scrolling while the Flash element is active?
I'm listening for MOUSE_MOVE events.They are sent and received just fine unless the middle mouse button is held down. I don't get any more MOUSE_MOVE events until the middle button is released.Is this an issue with Flash, or something to do with my specific ouse/computer configuration (bluetooth Mighty Mouse on Lion)?Are there any known workarounds?Here is a sample project to demonstrate the problem.Left click and drag traces mouse move events, but middle click only shows middle mouse down and middle mouse up.

I have spent the last 2 weeks searching the web for a tutorial on content scrolling. I have a movieclip/graphic that I want to scroll from left to right on the stage. Example of what I am trying to do: [URL] but without the vertical scroll. There seems to be a couple of AS2 tutorials around I doing it in AS3.

Basically, my problem is that i've got 15 buttons labeled Channel 1 to Channel 15, but when the page first loads up, it skips down showing the very last button at the bottom, rather than the very first button at the top. The top button is off the screen.
The code below is currently what I am using to use the middle mouse wheel to control the position of the page... sort of a DIY page scrolling mechanism, luckily I only need up and down ( ._y property)...

I have an Event.ENTER_FRAME that fires, to move a scrolling image bar given where stage.mouseY is located. But, when the mouse leaves the movie clip I need to force the scroller to stop. The MOUSE_LEAVE event fires when the mouse leaves the movie, but I have no way of stopping the scrolling behavior because I can't set the mouseY coordinates by hand. Is there a way to change the mouse coordinates programmatically? Can you manually trigger and event to stop firing?
View 6 RepliesI have one very large movieclip, and I'd like to create a very smooth (eased), tween, that moves it around the stage, on mouse move. so far, I've read the "get mouse direction" article, and that's helped a lot. and I'm calculating the distance the mouse is moving.. and that's all good and dandy,.. but I'm having a little trouble converting that into a smooth scroll.. I'd like to use tweenmax preferably, and not an on enterframe.

View 1 RepliesIf you have a very large project Flash CS5 fails to compile it. The same error used to occur in CS4 until the 10.0.2 patch was released. Is this going to be fixed in Flash CS5? Currently Flash CS5 is completely useless to us because of this problem.
