ActionScript 3.0 :: Preloader Won't Move After Finished
Oct 10, 2011
Im having some trouble moving the components in my preloader after the loading is over.A bar and text box are both in a movie clip (lrdmc) and both the text box and bar are movie clips (lbar, lpc). Heres the code:
ActionScript Code:
function PL_LOADING(event:ProgressEvent):void
{
var pcent:Number=event.bytesLoaded/event.bytesTotal*100;
[code]....
As of now the text box moves but the bar does not.I've tried a bunch of things, including making the movement with actionscript but couldn't figure out how to reset it after it moved away. why im having trouble moving the bar movie clip within the main ldrmc movie clip. It seems like the clip plays but the bar movie clip stays still.
The problem I have is that I have created a Movie clip of an animated logo. The timeline within the movieclip contains 163 frames.
I have placed the movie clip on the main timeline at frame 1. What I would like to happen is the movie clip to the play all the way through and then move to the next frame (frame 2) of the main timeline to continue the animation. the next frame has a frame label, named 'main'. I have split the timeline up into sections as I am created a webpage.
There must be a pretty straight forward Actionscript code to do this, I have come across some things but they dont seem to make much sense to me. I am pretty good at the drawing and animation side of things in flash but I complete newbie when it comes to the Actionscript code.
I tried to implement a simple preloader for an existing swf movie. I've created a new flash document and added the Loader as well as a ProgressBar component. In the action script of the key frame 1, I implemented the following:
The problem is now that the movie starts playing (i.e. its sound) before the progress bar is completely finished. This usually happens around 80%. How can I avoid that the movie starts before the progress bar reaches 100%?
So I have spent XX hours trying to get an External Preloader to work. So I am attaching the closest thing to a finished product which is an Internal Preloader.
Can Someone please help me make it into an external one? I have tons of versions of it but I don't want to send that since they obviously don't work.
I can't seem to attach the file since it too big. You can download it here: doubleudoubledoubleu.flashgalaxy.net/fla.zip
I have this code in frame 1 [code]In frame 2 the animation/flash application starts.The preloader works fine BUT when it gets to frame 2 it stops. I cannot get it to start. I think it is a simple issue but I cannot see it.
Yet another dilemma with my external SWFs. How do I get the external SWF to only begin playing once the preloader ahs finished loading the complete file. Currently when the SWF file comes it has already started playing part way through the file.
I have a movieclip in frame 1 doing an animation. I would like to use a listener to determine when the movie clip is finished then move to the next frame.
So i have a fake preloader going... doesnt actually preload, but just does the 'action'. my issue it gets to 100% way too fast. As its not really loading anything, how do i slow this down so its takes about 3 seconds to "complete loading?"
I want to create a preloader that is essentially a block of colour moving across the whole stage (610 x 300 pixels) - i don't want it to show the percentage loaded, just the colour will move across the screen and obviously when it reaches the other end, that will indicate that it has loaded all the external swfs and goes onto play them....
I have the following script for my preLoader (see below).Its a simple preLoader with a loading bar that goes from left to right with a percent read out.What I want is the percent text box to move along the _x with the load bar, so when the load bar is at 100% the percent text box is just above.
myInterval = setInterval(preloader, 10); function preloader() { if (_root.getBytesLoaded()>=_root.getBytesTotal()) {[code].........
tutorial where when you click on a movie clip it moves to a certain location on the page and then zoom in and makes it a certain size. Also i want it to move back to its original location if you click it again.I want the move and zoom to be smooth so the users can see it move across the screen then gradually get bigger.
well i want to make buttons that on rollover move to left, on rollout move back to their initial position, and if clicked, they but stay this time at the final rollover place, and be there until something else is clicked. When something else is clicked, the previous button , returns to its initial place. So i ve got it all figured out except for the freeze and move part when the buttons are clicked. All it does now , is when they are clicked they freeze at the position i want, but i havent got a clue how to update them, after so they start moving back, and reacting on rollover and rollout, when the next button is clicked.
I know this is very noob, but I need a simple AS move and loop. Move an object across the stage and once out of site, loop and start over again? It needs to be a slow and endless loop.
Using Tween class maybe? I tried the easeOut. But if will write 2 Tween, the 2nd one will overwrite the 1st one, so I only see the obj moving in the 2nd Tween direction, not the 1st Tween direction. I know the coordinates for the 2nd Tween below is not correct (cos all coordinates shld follow the defined reference point), so I need to find out the logo's width and height. But is alright now cos it is for testing purpose.
how to make text acting as a preloader so that its color changes as preloader percentage. i dont mean how to apply the math, i mean how to mask it or whatever action to achieve that effect?
like for example imagine the red is constantly growing to the right letter by letter (actually pixel by pixel:
I just started working on a preloader screen that includes a preloader mask over a logo and a percentage dynamic text. I can get either or to work but not both at the same time. I notice that if I remove stop(); I can get the percentage to work but not the preloader image. With the stop(); embedded the image preloader works but the percentage doesn't.
I want to make a preloader for flash mx 2004 that when it finish becomes to decrement another time. I would like to do it to modify the flash preloader component.
i tried the tutorial that teaches you how to create a preloader....i followed the instructions and it still doesnt work! what's wrg?[code]on my first frame actions....i put the "gotoAndPlay (36)" cause i tried a previous preloader that took more than 1 frame and didnt want to change my button's "goTo" frames...but i figured it wont change anything..anyways, i put that line of code as my first frame action....by double clicking the timeline..then i create a symbol for that frame 1 and created an animation.
Ie the preloader and steps through a preloader animation filling the logo (ie loader)Now I have tried changing a few things but having problems tried loading into a container and a level
I am having some dificulty making a path for this enemy i'm trying to create... cause i want him to rotate + move, then stop, then shoot, then rotate back and move off screen... Its easier if you see it.. you can download the swf file in the zipped archive to demonstrate what i mean. I did it there with tweens. Anyway.. i tried and make it but i'm a little stuck on the stopping part... you can also see what i did in the fla file attatched...
_root.object_1.sunny.gotoAndPlay("walk"); _root.object_1.sunny.gotoAndPlay("laugh");Hi, I code the following. But it jumps straight to the seconf mc "laugh". Is there nbo way of playing walk and on finishing playing laugh.
I'm working on a project where a SWF will play (as sort of a splash), followed by JS. After the video plays, the navigation and content will appear, and the video will fade out. I'm just wondering what would be the best way to accomplish this? Play the video first and then load everything via ajax behind the scenes? The goal is to be as seamless as possible and I am having a flash asset provided to me by the client.
I have a movie that plays a series of movie clips, it will play a clip, then, once the clip has finished, it will move to frame 2, where it will play another clip, and so on
Is there any way for the root timeline to now when a child movie clip has completed. I currently have the child clips do _root.nextframe, but i would prefer to have all control within the root
A.swf has an empty_mc on it's stage. Loading into the empty_mc is B.swf.B.swf plays C.flv. After the C.flv is done playing I want B.swf to tell A.swf to go to frame 3
