Is there any way using tween scale to scale a MovieClip from 'top right' to 'bottom left' as oppsed to 'top left' to 'bottom right'?
View 5 RepliesI have 4 movieClips on stage named text1, text2 etc. When I RollOver any one of them I have a tween which changes their xscale and yscale. So basically when you rollover they get bigger and when you rollout they go back to 100 scale.
What I want to be able to do is make it so that if I hover over item 3 then item 4's x position is shifted according to the scale of item 3. I ALSO want to be able to move items 1 and 2 to the left to account for the new scale. I can do this but only by moving things to the right, I cannot understand how to make items to the left of that selected update their x position to account for the scale.

The onEnterFrame function is working but only shifting the x position of items that are on the right of that currently selected - it doesn't scale the selected item and shift things left and right accordingly.
1. Is there a way to scale up an object from its center even if its registeration point is at the top left? can that be done using TweenMax?2. can I apply the same tween on two objects at the same time? basically what I want to do is load up an image to the stage, and then tween its scale from 0 to the original size along with another movie clip behind it that would form some sort of a border for the image. and I want to scale them up from the center.
View 5 RepliesWe are recording live streams on a Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5.3 r824. In general, everything works fine, so there are no appliaction-issues. But sometimes (it is not reproducable yet) a stream stops recording without any notice or event in the application. All we can find is such a message in our core.log: 2010-03-05 03:30:00 4747 (e)2611178 Error from libmp4.so: No Space left in the stsd box. - 2010-03-05 03:30:00 4747 (e)2611423 Failed to record [...]16891_14351_RGtBCODxPR4cM8QfML9CuxqhHqutMwWX.f4v (Unknown Error). where i could start searching for the cause of this error? These streams are in general sent by Adobe Media Live Encoder.

Both clips in library have scale9grid enabled, but it just wont apply to the imported bitmap, just vector.
If there is no way around it, I cant imagine it is too hard to write a custom class that applies scale9grid to the bitmap aswell, maybe someone know if it has been made already?
trace(a1.scale9Grid); and chop the bitmapdata manually?

I am trying to scale9grid a button to preserve its rounded corners when resizing but I have run into trouble.The button is an ordinary Button symbol and it has 4 layered states (Up, Down, Over, Hit).In each layer there are some shapes (the outer button border, two background shapes inside the button for shading and then some extra outer border shapes to create the pressed down effect). The button contains no other elements,not even a textfield (the textfield is on the same level as the button).
The button is inside a movieclip (which also carries the textfield) that is of the same size as the button and is resized as by Adobe design when the button is resized (i.e. I am never manipulating its size).The Button is 35 high and the textfield is 25 high. They have their registration points both centered and placed at the the same coordinate.I use the follow code to resize and scale9grid the button:

popup.btnLoginButton.scale9Grid = new Rectangle(10, 5, popup.btnLoginText.width, 15);
The above scale9Grid throws a Error #2004: One of the parameters is invalid.The same error occurs unless the Rectangle parameters are very small - for example Rectangle(5, 5, 5, 5) even though the textfield is much longer. But when the Rectangle is that small of course no scale9grid scaling is taking place.
I'm creating an errorTip that gets displayed when the user mouses over an image. I would like the popup to appear to the left of the image, but the only properties I can pass to create the toolTip are "errorTipRight", "errorTipAbove" and "errorTipBelow".

using setproperty ("_level0.bg-mb_mc", _alpha, 45); works ok.
I've written some code for a simple event handler that should tween a sub menu onto the screen when the user rolls over the menu button. (instance name menuBtn) However, although I thought the code was written correctly, the syntax error "missing left brace ({) before the function body" has appeared in compiler errors. Below is the full code:

It appears when I click the Next button on the window with the likert scale. I have no idea why its giving this error.

I could compute their heights and successively set the y but I was wondering if there was an easier way to do it.

How can I convert the current scale of the instance to 100% so I can easily "visualize" and manage the instance when I modify its scale? Here's the actionscript, it works, but I just want the temp._xscale and temp._yscale to be in percentages, not real numbers.

My vision is to have a colored square at the top of the site Im working on which should span across the entire browser window. I have created a square 1280 x 100 pixels in size and imported it to the stage, alignment is set to x=0, y=0 ad alignment. The scene is the same size as the square I 've imported. When I view my Flash creation its displayed 8 pixels from the top left corner of the browser window. The flash file only contains the square and nothing else. take a look at the 3 files I've attached: issue-scrreen1-3.jpg. The first 2 screens are my Flash, properties and library screen shots. The third screen shot is my browser window.

1. I created an mc (name: "content")Notice in this mc, I layout 4 sets of text (like a page) from left to right
2. I created another mc (name: "pancontent_mc")
-I added a layer for "content" and created a motion tween for it to pan from left to right
-I created a mask layer on top of "content" that will show 1 set at a time
-I created an action layer that has total of 4 stops(); on each frame where the 4 sets of text will show directly under the mask.
3. maintimeline -There's only 1 layer. I placed an instance of buttons (left/right) and an instance of "pancontent_mc"
4. actions for right button, works fine and stops on each set of text.

5. actions for left button - none. I havent figured this out yet.
