ActionScript 3.0 :: Sound Repeats From Game To Game

We have a bug in one game whereby the sound of the word repeats. Even when we use stopAllSounds - the sound is still kept in memory and you can hear it in the next activity - it's a disaster and kids get real angry.

im trying to create a tamagotchi game type game. For some reason i can not add any items to the stage.Currently i have imported 2 png images to the stage and coverted them to movie clips. One is called TamagotchiCharacter and the other is called Beer. I have also created a new 2 AS3.0 script class called TamagotchiGame and DraggableItem. The following is TamagotchiGame:

I've been working on a flash game, and recently added in sound effects. However, the sound effects only seem to play the first half-second of the audio file whenever I call on them to. I have been using the standard code.

ActionScript Code:

But the sound effect only plays through a small amount of the audio. Also, the sound effects are not very stable, and will only play the butchered audio if there is some time in between clicking on several buttons. The odd thing is that I took the same code to another flash file, and the audio played through all the way with no problem, not requiring any additional time to play the sound effect again. I used the same code to load the sounds, which is

I am trying to play sounds in my Flash gameAt times, the game runs slowly and the sound effects began to lagI noticed that all of the sound effects that are played using AS3 sound and soundChannel objects (which are held in an array and are triggered by a Click Event listener function) are lagging worse that sound effects which are played from within MovieClips timelines (These MovieClips are played using gotoAndPlay() which is called by a different Click Event listener function.) I am wondering why this is happening. I assume that anything done within Actionscript would be processed faster that anything done on a timeline.

I'm in the middle of redesigning my portfolio site and I'm running into an issue in Flash. I have added a sound to the rollover of a movieclip button and it works fine as I navigate forward through the site, but when I jump backwards the sound starts repeating and it multiplies by the number of times I go back. I have put the sound in using the properties palette and am wondering if there is a simple way to add some AS3 code to the rollover function. I am working on a Heads up display and I am having some problems. The Problems are i cant seem to get Flash to do what I want...I am relatively new to flash but I know that I need to use action script 2.0 and Kismet to make what I want happen. I am making a cross hair. When I highlight an enemy it should turn red. When it Highlights an ally it should turn blue.I have made a heart beat Monitor that needs a animation for a heartbeat and Flat lining. The Background of the Heart beat monitor Changes color according what has happened to the player, If the player Gets hit the background of the heartbeat monitor changes color.
