ActionScript 3.0 :: Add A Control So Player Can't Place Towers On Road

Im currently playing around with trying to code a tower defence game and im a bit stuck on the bit where I want to add a control so the player can't place towers on the road.the road is simply just an array with cordinates e.g [2, 3] [2,5] ect.and i draw a rectangle between those two cordinates with the Graphics class.So i was hopeing for a class that can detect the colour of a given x,y pixel cordination so i could use color detection to detect if its a road or not instead of going with my backup plan witch is to write a function that convert each "cordinate" to pixel then compare the mouse, x.y cordinate to it since its so much more resource demanding.

I create a custom control in a FLA, and compile it to a SWC. It works no problem, even the ActionSciprt. When I place theat control in a new FLA, it is clipped. I only see the lower right, because it thinks the center is upper left. Adding a 2nd control then makes the first available. WHAT THE FUGK IS THAT ABOUT? Also, to move either control, you have to grip it by some new blue rectangly that is no part of the control. This, also, is way off center.

I want to make a road in flash. You got a road with white stripes on it but it aint moving. I want the stripes to come at you to make it like you are driving the road.Its not a straigt road but diagonal and dissapearing at the eind of the horizon.Does someone know how I can make this like it is real? It has to loop over and over again.

I have big element at the top of the webpage that sides down with jQuery when a button is clicked. However, if the first post on the blog is a flash video, it shows up on top of the menu. Z-index doesn't help in this instance.

im creating a portfolio website that primarily uses flv videos for graphics. For example, if you click to go to another section of the website a video plays that actually walks you to that area. I am using the flex flv player component and i want to be able to skip 5 seconds forward and backwards , at the moment from what i understand from the documents it is not acurate because the movie can only skip to keyframes sometimes making the skip 6 or 7 seconds. the same goes to cue points which the flv might miss the actual point if there is no keyframe there/ my question is there any other way to use the player in a more accurate manner ? since i see on the web players that can do these skipps

For a month now I have been without the use of programs lke Swishmax and sothink video downloader because all of a sufdden, flash can;t be installed. I do have in in firefox but I get this error when I try to install "ActiveX control for Flash Player could not be registered" I have tried everything, but nothing works.

I am working on adding playback controls. So far, I've been able to achieve a working slider component that scrubs the external swf's timeline. However, it is faulty and the slider thumb doesn't follow move with the timeline of the swf-it just remains still. What I mean by faulty is that sometimes the slider scrubs the swf timeline and sometimes it fails with this error:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
at swfPlayerMain/sliderDrag()
at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction()

I am in need for some serious help before i have to do the ultimate and reformat my hard drive and spend the next 12 hours reinstalling everything. The issue is flash. I get this error "ActiveX control for Flash Player could not be registered" anytime i tru to install flash. I can see flash content in every browser except internet explorer 9 so I don;t know what to make of this. I have tried everything to now avail. There are a few programs that won;t work and always prompt me to install flash. When I do I get the same error. The fact that this error can;t be fixed is amazing to me. I am asking has anyone got any idea on how to fix this problem minus the usual links that Adobe has, none of their remedies work. I am using windows 7 64 bit.

Recently I have made a simple flash application that utilizes a webcam feed and an embedded chromeless youtube player within it. I now need to make custom controls around the player but would like to be able to do that in html/css and control it with js/jquery. While I can find material helping me control the chromeless player directly ( as in solo embedded and not part of another flash app ). My question is that since the chromless player is embedded INSIDE of another flash app ( say test.swf ) can I still access the player in there from js?

I want that my spaceship gets louder when my mouse moves away from it (and vice versa). Problem is that my function produces an annoying crackling sound I can't get rid of when I move my mouse away from it (and vice versa). The sound file is ok so far.
