ActionScript 3.0 :: Button That Closes Entire Flash?
Jul 3, 2011
Just wondering how i can make a button in my flash close the entire flash even the player?is this possible? the reason i want to is beacause i am placing the flash on my website and it will show on page load in the center of the screen however i need a button to close it fully otherwise the flash will be in the way of the elements of the page if i simply hide
Today, I put a video into my website, the only problem is that I'd like to give it a close button (that would close the player, or make it invisible). How could I do that?
i ask for patience I will summarize as briefly as possible Imagine an animated presentation, interactive and extensive, with multiple ways or different possibilities The method I'm using is to divide in several different SWFs, otherwise it would be ridiculously heavy.But there lies the problem: When I want to load another SWF, it ends up overwriting the original and will become increasingly slow and overloaded, because it will consume too much memory and frames per second decreasing each new SWF loaded ..I wonder if there is any method to unload the SWF itself by button and go to the next OuvirLer foneticamente
I have been working on a small Flash application. I want to add a "Print" button to it, and just dump the entire flash-window to the printer. Is this possible??
I have trailed through endless forums and tried adding all the various codes.I have a movie that is embedded within a php page. The movie starts with an animation and at the end, an image emerges with buttons. The image that emerges is actually an xml run slideshow but I don't want to complicate it with this bit of information if it is not relevant. So the film stops there and the buttons remain with a changing background.
I would like to make it skip to the end frame if it has been played before, if someone returns to the page, so that the user doesn't have to watch the entire movie to get to the buttons.I have tried adding this to the first scene however it is pretty temperamental:
var myCookie:SharedObject = SharedObject.getLocal("checkFirstVisit");
if (_root.getBytesLoaded() == _root.getBytesTotal()) { // Flash Cookie[code].....
So I'm creating this flash game for our company's 2010 halloween greeting card and I'm having some problems.All it is an swf that has balloons randomly moving upward.Each balloon is a movie clip that has another "button" movie clip inside of it. As you click on each balloon, the balloon pops and then recreates itself. The only problem is that the button inside the balloon is not acting like a button the entire time.
The upward movement is being called through an enterFrame event listener and the use of the button goes in and out as the balloon moves upward. It's a pain because you have to click the balloon multiple times in order to get the balloon to pop. Does anyone know why this is or if there is an alternative to enterFrame?
i would like that my window opens and closes (opens: scale out; closes: scale in) not by clicking on the button but on the window itself.here are 3 applications of mine (schuifwindow, scroll and fotoalbum).
Grtz,Jan the man
here are 3 applications of mine (schuifwindow, scroll and fotoalbum). schuifwindow www.truevision.be/other/btn_home.flascroll www.truevision.be/other/scroll.flafotoalbum www.truevision.be/other/foto_album.fla only picture one (left up corner) has a X button (i dont want to use this button)
For some reason my flash program closes on me. The strange thing is, it is only 2 MB. I have a good amount of shapehits in it as well. Would that cause it to crash?
I have a Datagrid in Flex. I need to add a radio button in first column such that when I select that radio button, entire row should get selected.I have tried using following code -
i have a problem using AS to send some variables to a PHP form.when i click on my button the entire movie unloads from the stage. let's take a look to the AS of the button:[code]
I have an RTMP stream loading and would like to know the drop off time of the video. Is there a method of knowing when a person abruptly leaves the video session by closing the window, back button, address bar, etc?Or do i need to make an external interface call from JavaScript to Flash using something like onunload & onbeforeunload events?I am guessing that it is the later, but wanted to see if there was a method of keeping all my code inside of AS3.
I have done a search for this but I can't seem to find anything specific to what I am trying to do. I have a Flash CS3 slide presentation which was created at 1024x768 for projection purposes. Now, I have been asked to create a version of the presentation for the web which would need to be much smaller, say 480x360 for example. Changing the document properties is easy enough, but how would I go about scaling all the content down?
I am pulling my hair out trying to make my simple flash file link to a URL and nothing I have tried will work. I am making a transparent box on the top layer of my file, making it a movie clip and adding the code
on (press){ getURL("http://www.trimergence.com/staging/news.html"); }
The action says it has no errors, but when I export the move, my cursor turns to a hand but goes no where when I click.
Is there a simple way to scale my entire movie? I've tried doing it with the "modify -> scale" and dragging, but that only scales the selected symbol. I also tried going to the last frame, selecting all and scaling again, but then I have stuff in the middle of the movie that doesn't seem to scale correctly.
I wanted to know if it was possible to have a transparent swf sit over the whole of a html page? Basically I want to have a standard html page and create say an insect crawling over it, is this possible? I know about swfObject but I can't seem to figure out how to make the swf full screen AND to still see the html?
I am trying to take a snapshot of an entire movieclip. Here is the function I am using:
[Code]...
When I pass it through the function I only get the bottom-right portion of the image. It has a centered registration point. I've tried all registration points too and the top-left (0,0) works but my project is already based around objects having a low-mid registration point: Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I just want a snapshot of the full movieclip instead of the bottom-right portion regardless of the registration point. edit: No, I'm not here to sell watermelons
I have tried everything to get my Flash movie to completely fill the browser but to no avail. I have made the dimensions 100% w + h as well as making all the margins 0 px. Am I missing something as when I compare my HTML source code it seems the same as others but the result is with me having white borders around the published file.
I have a long linear flash presentation with many scenes. Besides web playback my clients asked for a standalone projector file as well. Upon making it full screen with FS command during playback, initial off stage area elements are visible when they animate into the stage on widescreen monitors...for example text moving in from left. I don't want to mask every layer in over thirty something scenes...is there an easier way by applying a mask in actionscript to the movie itself? I know setMask() works for movieclips but is there a way to apply the setMask() method to the entire presentation in AS2 because the following did not seem to work:[code]
I need my flash to appear in front of the background on this website [URL] it loads but its entirely transparent. I need the content to be visible and the background of the flash to be invisible. Here is the flash itself: [URL]. How do I leave the content visible but use the website's background? I'm using swfobject
I would like to design a dynamic website. [url] In this site they organized all of the swfs in xml.What is the difference between setting the entire site in flash, and putting it together like the example?
as you first get to this website, a neat little :10 swf plays. right now, i have a 'home' and a 'back' button on all the pages linked to a static screenprint of where my neat opening .swf ends.
is there a way to prevent that entire opening flash file from replaying again when visitors hit their own browser's 'back' button from the other pages, and just give them the last frame?
