ActionScript 3.0 :: Create A One Frame Website Using Movieclips?

I was wondering if there is a tutorial on how to create a one frame website using movieclips as my pages instead of the seperate movies. In other words, I read this tutorial on this site :[URL]..
but i want my pages to be movieclips instead of seperate flash movies. Is there a tutorial for that? or can someone help me with the code to do that? The code for the tutorial is well-commented but I'm still a little lost...
This is a great tutorial for all Flash web designers/developers and good to have under your belt, so guys, let's figure this out together to be great actionscripters..

I have what I hope is a fairly straight forward question that I hope you can answer if you write code with a Mac or are at least familiar with the process on a Mac? The person I have been working with to create my photography website uses a PC. Here is the problem. I am trying to use my Mac in order to create frames so that I can add 5 more images to a portfolio that presently has 15 images.
The code is in an index.fla file. If I want to create a new frame in the index.fla, let's say LOAD CODE 381 and want to use the same text that is already present in LOAD CODE 380 but with a few edits, I have no trouble going to the Action-Movie Clip and finding LOAD CODE 380 in the left hand column. The problem is, on a Mac, how do I create frame LOAD CODE 381 and then how do I copy and paste the text from LOAD CODE 380 into LOAD CODE 381? It looks like on a PC one can open LOAD CODE 380 in the Action-Movie Clip, highlight the text then right click on the red rectangular box in the timeline. By doing so (on a PC) one sees a drop down menu that gives the option to "copy key frame". What is the equivalent of the "copy key frame" on a Mac? I can see where on the Mac you can go to Edit >copy. Is this the equivalent of "copy key frame" on a PC? If so, once I "copy" the text how do I create the new LOAD CODE 381 so that I can paste the text into the new frame?

I was having trouble even knowing quite what to search for so I figured asking a question in a forum would be the best way to go. Currently I am making an application where I have multiple movieclips of equal duration on multiple frames. For example, movieclip_1 is on frame 1 and is 40 frames long. There is currently a scrub bar that scrubs through the 40 frames of movieclip_1. On frame 1 of the Scene there are also buttons with the actions to gotoAndStop on frame 2, frame 3, and frame 4. Frame 2 contains movieclip_2, frame 3 contains movieclip_3, and so on. The functionality of this is that it shows medical conditions progressing from different angles and when a button is clicked the display shows a close up of just that one angle. As expected, without any actions on the movieclips navigating from one frame to the next brings up the proper new movieclip but they always begin at frame 1. What I would like to be able to do is somehow have my movieclips know what frame they are on so when a button is clicked the application would go to that frame and open that movie clip to the same frame as the previous one that was just navigated from.

I want to randomly load 3 animations in a topbanner on my website. The 3 animations are placed inside their own movieclip and loaded to the stage by using "attachMovie". This works fine. But when a movieclip is loaded to the stage and the animation inside of it is finished playing how do i attach or load another movieclip randomly to the stage?

What I am trying to do is basically get my navigation working correctly. I had it working by altering the alphas of movieClips, but they just end up overlapping each other even if they are invisible so that's not working out. I have 5 navigation pages. And thus, 5 nav buttons, and 5 movieClips (content for each page -- Home, Location, Tenants, Design, Contact). I want to simply show the home movieclip when on the home page and remove the movieclips from the stage for the other 4 pages.
Then, logically, I want to click the Tenants page, which removes the home page, location, design, and contact movieclips. Very straightforward show only one and remove the rest from the stage, but every combination of add/removeChild and parent and stage etc. is giving me that error above. What's confusing me the most is that the add and removeChild works for the location page, but none of the others. The location movieClip is no different than the others, and I made the code the same but it's the only one that works.

I came to realize that in order to get some of the effects to happen I'd need a way to know all of the current MovieClips being used in a given section of the web site. I figure the best way to do this is to create a Class for it and let it handle registering the clips. The functionality is pretty basic with the Class able to register a MovieClip and return all the MovieClips being used up until a given point in time or access a single MovieClip.
Unfortunately I don't really know how to implement this idea. I've pulled it off using index numbers but that wasn't for MovieClips. For this I'd like to be able to access any MovieClip that has been registered already by a name, like a String maybe.

I need to create a script that will jump to a certain frame in the scene when a movie cilp reaches its last frame. Putting a goto... within the MC itself doesn't work. I assume that I need to create a listener of some sort....I haven't been able to find what I need in any documentation (and I'm even been looking through AS dictionaries going back to Flash 4).

I have a project that involves flash animation- almost movie like. I need some advice on how to do flash animation. I think I'll create the graphics in illustrator. Basically, the storyline is this:
- guy leaves house and walks to car
-starts engine, puts on shades and speeds off
-scenes of downtown chicago (nightlife)
-view license plate
What is the best way to do this? create graphics in illustrator for frame by frame? Should I use after effects? The client doesn't have a high budget so video is out of the question.

if its possible, via AS3, to create a frame label in a movieclip on a specific frame.
Obviously I can do it by manually by setting up labels on the timeline within the target movieclip, but I would rather use an array so I can loop through it, creating a label name on a the specific frame each time?
so for example I would end up with:
myLabelOne on frame 10
myLabelTwo on frame 25
myLabelThree on frame 115
etc

I'm currently designing a website (Flash, Actionscript 2) using Frame Labels.The main nav bar has 4 link buttons, each one linking to a certain Frame Label e.g. 'Home', 'Gallery' etc. When you click on a link it will bring you to the frame label, play small animation and stop. The problem I am having is, when I click on a new link I would like the current scene to animate out and then go to the next chosen frame label. I basically want a smooth IN/OUT transition between links.

I created a very simple website with the flash export capability of Adobe Encore. To my disappointment there is a noticeable black flash between the different pages which makes the project basically useless. What is causing the black frame and is there a way to fix it? I have included all the files involved as an attachement so you can take a look at the code if you want!

Im trying to create a banner similar to the one seen on this website:[URL].. It has numbers to take you through the images, previous/next tabs and it autoplays with a pause button also. All the pictures link to various places around the site, and i cannot find anywhere on how to go about creaating something like this.
Ive been reading and watching tutorials all over and can do the basic tweening and autoplay/loop funtions with timer and timer reset in it, but i dontknow how to go about this one as im very new to this.

I'm writing a private website.I want to add an animation of a paper (which moves a bit in its conrners).I paln the user to add some text in the text area in that animated paper.My program will read the text and save it.The next time the user comes I'll show him this animated paper with the text he wrote.
1) As a newbie to animation. Should I use flasf? Is there a nice freeware and simple alternative? I saw this site but thought maybe someone can tell from his own experience

There are twelve buttons that onclick go to a certain page labled in the movie clip "pages." I am trying to figure out how to get buttons 9-12 to be on the pages movie so when people click button 2 the pages will display page2 but with button 9 on it and button 9 has an onclick that goes to page9. I have everything working for the 12 buttons on the first page but when i drag the button to the stage of the movie clip "pages" it does go to that page directed to. I had the correct label names down and everything. The buttons work find if they are on the main scene but don't work in the movie clip. To solve this problem i just kept them on the main page, I may try to put them in the mouse over on the main page to solve this problem. Ok first frame is has this code. I know this is probably really easy. [code]...

Hi im trying to create a footer on my website.Flash set not to scale and to fit the whole browser screen.so if the footer would be 100px height what maths should i use keeping ion mind that resizing would be available.at the moment im using this code.
footer_mc.widht = stage.stageWidht;
footer_mc.y = stage.stageHeight - footer_mc.height;
footer_mc.x = stage.x;
but when i set footer_mc x to stage.x it indicates 0 as the begining of the movie not of the whole stage. and y doesnt work propery aswell

I'm kinda new to flash but i managed to create a structure of my website, do frame break ups, do layers and frames for content and so on.The thing is, when i create a text box, convert it to a button and, use a goto option and select the frame i want it to go to...nothing happens. Design view clearly shows that it's a button but when i played a test movie, buttons didn't work at all. I could highlight them but that's about it. Even when i click on them nothing happens.I tried publishing in HTML but no luck either.I use flash 10 with actionscript 2.0 in Adobe Flash CS4.[code]

I am using Flash 8 and would like to create an animation for my future website.What I would like to do is the following:
I want to create an animated menu looking similar to the attached flash animation. The menu buttons will be a variety of 11 images arranged in an oval circle with the website logo located in the center of this oval circle. The mentioned oval circle should spin either left or right depending on which side of the animation the mouse pointer is located and stop if the mouse pointer is in the center/middle of the animation.
As the images move to the front (during the circular but slightly tilted motion) they should have a similar zoom in effect like the one in the attached animation and zoom out again when moving back into the background.
I am sure that this kind of animation is very simple when using Action Script but I am not such an advanced user to know what code I would need to write.
