ActionScript 3.0 :: Delete A Particular Part Of A Shape?

I am working in a complicated shape manuplation project. In that user can join 2 shapes , he can duplicate, he can delete a particular part of a shape ect;
In the following code copies a shape and adds to stage.

In this all the properties of sh1 copied except the rotation value. But i dont want to assign it directly like sh2.rotation = sh1.rotation;

I've made a functions which creates rectangles:

I have this big JSFL project I'm working on that involves deleting a raw shape (ungrouped) and then replacing it with another one. The problem is that the original shape doesn't always actually get erased (I haven't figured out the precise circumstances where this happens yet though). Even if it does get deleted, though, when I draw the new shape on the stage (using Path.makeShape), the new shape has extra vertices where its edges cross those of the original shape. So even if I end up with the correct-looking shape on the stage without the one that was there before, my shape I just created is likely to have extraneous vertices (and I need the vertices to be unchanged).

I have multiple simple audio players displayed on the screen, each contained in an HBox. Each audio player has a Waveform, a Container that displays a waveform Shape that is drawn from samples.
The issue I've been having is that in one part of the program, where multiple audio players are just added to a tab from top to bottom, the waveform displays fine, as well as the bar that tracks the current position of the audio playing (a child of WaveForm). However, in the main part of the interface, where audio players are indented such that each audio player has a visible "child" audio player that can be expanded/hidden, the WaveForms don't display at all.
The strange thing is that these sound player objects are being created by the main tab where the waveform isn't displayed, and are occasionally sent to the other tab where the waveform works - they're the exact same objects, and the WaveForm objects retain the same parameters and visibility etc when they're passed, they just aren't drawn. In the tab where they aren't being drawn, the only additional parent graphical component is an HBox containing all of the sound players - I can't figure out for the life of me if I'm missing some sort of parameter or what.

I want to delete a row of my datagrid when someone click a button part of that row located below Delete Column. I tried many different way one of those were to

The item render ev.renderers.UserGridEditRender has a delete button listing for click event it basically do userGridData.removeItemAt(userGrid.selectedIndex);
(UserGridData = Data provider of grid with id "userGrid") But whenever I click the button an exception is throw
RangeError: Index '-1' specified is out of bounds.

I have a line that is being drawn following a route when a play button is pushed. At the end of the movieclip the whole route is shown with the beginning and end. How do I clear that line if the user hits play again? Right now it connects the beginning and ending points and creates another line on top of the old one.

I am implementing a flex auto-suggest combobox - as the user types in each character: Consider the string 'Stackoverflow' and user input = 'st'
1) the data provider is filtered to show all items starting with 'st'
2) text is set to auto-suggest string such that the un-typed part is highlighted.
So for instance, the combobox text may contain st'ackoverflow', where 'ackoverflow' is highlighted using setSelectedIndex()When I hit back-space or delete, and check the 'this.text' value, I expect that the last un-highlighted character ('t' in the above case) gets deleted and the data provider is filtered to show all items starting with 's'. However the text property contains 'st', as before

Ok perhaps ive bitten off too much here...I know you are not supposed to parse xml/html to regex but the thing is there just arent many other options.Im using AS3.im parsing the source of textflowlayout text to a different format.

logically i think of it as taking apart the string into substrings
checking if there are fontWeight or fontStyle in the substring

using the shape tool you can draw basic shapesthen using the subselection tool you can re-shape them by relocating certain points
What i want to do is create a tween whereby one of the points is movedthe problem is you have to convert to a symbol first and after you have done that you cant change the shapes shape.so how do i go about using a motion tween to change the shape of a shape?

I'm trying to use the delete keyword to remove nodes from an xml file and it just plain won't work.Here's a stripped down example of what I'm working with. Every node has a child named "deleteme". If its value is equal to 1 I want to remove it from the xml file. If its anything else I want to leave it be. The delete method is deffinately gettig call but it's having no effect.

I'm constructing a site, at least I'm trying :P I made a part with photoshop but now I'm continuing in iweb because I thought oh it's ease to insert a photo page, because that's the only reason. I'm a little bit a noob in html and php and so on and also in flash so that was the solution at least that was wath I taught... :roll: this is how it looks in iweb:that is how it should look on the internet, it does as you can see here:but when I click on a picture to enlarge normally you should get a nice screen but I have this:As you can see that is a problem, everything moved and so on

Ok i have been making a website and i need to put a preloader in that loads my website. I have downloaded 3 different preloader and replaced the pic that they had in with my own and when i do that it either no longer works or it has a white screen until about 50% then it does work! WTH is going on??????
