I have a problem with buttons and transitions and it is similar to a problem I had a couple of days ago that I posted and that was sorted out. I have two buttons onstage (they're inside a movie clip) inside the movie, on the button one I have the following

I have similar code on button two and this does indeed make the buttons move into place as required. My problem is this, I need to load in external swf files into an empty movie clip on the main stage called container. These External SWF files have transitions and this is where my problem is. If I place a normal button on the stage it works but not if the button is inside a movie clip and has actions applied as above. The code next is what I have believe should also be placed on the button to make swf transition one load in.

I am targeting a a movie clip. The problem is that all the syntax I have found for targetting clips looks like this: _root.sample_mc.sample2.mc. etc. The problem is, my target clip is in an swf that I've loaded into a container clip from my main timeline. So, essentially, I have a home.swf that loads menu.swf into a container called 'location'. In menu.swf, I have an MC called center, which contains the MC I am targetting called 'target'.

I thought i knew how, but its not working and i've tried everything i can think of.I'm loading an external swf like this:[code]This works fine. It loads an external swf that plays a youtube video. However, whenever i click on my navigation buttons to go to another page (basically another movieclip in teh _root level, it does not unload the youtube player and it keeps playing. View 2 RepliesI'm using the following code to load a .jpg into a movie clip container the problem is I need the container to be a specific size I tried loader.content.width = 50; and loader.content.height = 50; the height part works but the width doesn't work my image just expands beyond the stage width.How do i set the size of the movie clip container?I don't care if the image gets distorted i have a resize script for the images before they are loaded into flash.[code]

Inside the production.swf files I've created a gallery with a MovieClip that loads from my library to a container1 inside the production.swf. In the galleryMC(from library), Ive created a close button to unload it from the container1. It works fine from my production.swf file, but when it loads to the main page it doesn't unload. This is the ActionScript that I have to unload the Movie Clip.

I am trying to create a gallery where the thumbnails scroll across the bottom and when you click on the thumb a new large image opens up on top of it from the same image.
What i would like to do is open up the large image but draw a box around this image so it blanks out the background of the site and all you see is that picture.

I have some buttons that load an external flash file into the container movie clip with this code:

So it plays the tweening out animation of the file that's already loaded, then loads the new file, playing the tweening in animation. However, currently the container movie clip is empty when the flash movie is played. I want to be able to have some content already loaded in it, but when I use the container .loadMovie("start.swf") code, it just keeps loading start.swf into it when any of the other buttons are clicked. Is there a way I can have content load when the flash movie is started, but when any of the buttons are clicked, for it to tween out, and basically, never reappear?
I want to load a completely scripted movie into a container clip but when I test it none of the script is executed. When I load a movie that is just a tween it works. What should I do to make the script work??? i have a feeling it has something to do with _root it the loaded movie.

View 7 RepliesI have a main SWF with an empty MC holder and all of the main navigation button on actions. When the buttons are clicked it then loads an external SWF into the empty MC. I am having trouble telling the button to load the movie once and then stop loading if someone clicks on the link again. I want to prevent someone from double clicking to cause the animation to blink. *rapidly click on "home" to see what I mean.

Although it throws no errors, the setInterval is ignored and it just loads direct into the next mc clip.

How can I change color of mcOksid(testing.fla), but color will be change when i push a upload buttom? WHen i push reset buttom, the color will come back to default.
Second problem, in testing.fla in layer OKSID, i have mcOksid and mcOksid2. Know if i change color of mcOksid to blue, mcOksid2 has to be blue too.
What I'd like to do is have a checkbox, that when it is checked it loads a movie into an empty movie clip, and when it is unchecked, it loads a different movie into the empty movie clip.Also if possible I'd like to find a way to output to a variable whether the same checkbox is checked or not. And send the info from the variable in an email.

I am hoping I'm missing something simple.I have a button with the instance name SPS_btn on a layer I've called buttons.Below the button layer i've got a layer called movie clips that contains an emptymovie clip called mainStage_mc.I want to load a .swf into into mainStage_mc. both the buttons and their actions occur on the first frame.I have used this code but it not working.

for some reason it will load if i use loadMovieNum () but the registration point is in the top right corner and i don't want that.What's the best way to debug this?When i use test movie the output window dosen't show an error but something's wrong.how can I test if is a path problem? A problem with the loaded movie or a problem with something else? the movie new002.swf is 393KB. I tired making a smaller 2kbmovie using the code above and it wouldn't load either.
I have a site with a container clip which all other content loads into. When one movie loads, it has a button that I'd like to be able to click to go to another page in the site (ie. unload it's parent movie and load another swf into the same container clip.
How can I address the parent container clip and tell it to unload this movie and load another swf into it?

Just upgraded to CS4/AS3, and I can't figure out how to load one .swf after another, llowing each to be run once, and only once. I don't think I should have to alter the target movies, as I should be ale to tell when the laoded movie is at it's last frame.So I have an string[] that holds the filenames of the target swfs to load.
