Mar 15, 2011I know AS3 can support media video,now I have a EXE format swf file,I want to know if AS3 can support it? How to play EXE format flash by AS3?

Basically we would have a file on the server in say .avi format, or quicktime format. How do I grab it from the server, convert it to flash and display it on the php page to play?
Also, does can I use the video capabilities of HTML5 with PHP to make any of this easier?

then I loop the array to search the data I want to return to another function...my problem is how to format the date value in array to become this format before I can make a comparison with this value....
5/21/2007--> this value got from this current date
so the problem is how to convert the value in array from this format
21-5-2007 to this 5/21/2007 for all the values....the data I load from dtbase actually that's why it store that kind of format....

I am not even sure what format the videos are in right now. I have been doing a little research and it looks like I want the .flv format. How can we get them into this format? I want to use thumbnails with a little description of the video, people would click on the jpeg (or whatever) thumbnail to see the video.

Professional :: Flash CS4 Unexpected File Format
Oct 14, 2009I'm suddenly getting an "Unexpected file format" error on virtually every Flash CS4 file that I try to open. These are files that I created and I'm trying to open tham on the same computer on which they were created. The only thing that I can think of that has changed is that I installed some new fonts, so I deleted those, but that hasn't helped.I've tried retrieving files that I had backed up to a server, and those give me the same error. The only files that I AM able to open are 1) a test file that I created in CS4, saved, closed and reopened, and 2) files that had been created in CS3.
