ActionScript 3.0 :: Preloaders To Show The Amount Loaded For Each Image And Then Disappear?

I'm running into an error 1009 on a script that I've been working on. What I'm trying to do is attach a preloader Movie Clip that I have in my library with a class name of preloader, to an empty Movie Clip called preloaderMC and position that on a set of loaded thumbnail images. I can get the code to show one preloader and it will track the total of all the images being loaded, not single images. Ideally, I'd like the preloaders to show the amount loaded for each image and then disappear.

I built a gallery and each thumbnail has its own preloader. Right now, I'm trying to tween the preloaders' alpha to zero (instead having disappear which I have now) then remove them. I think there's a way to do this using TweenLite, but I can't figure it out. Here's the code I have so far:

This results in various problems, such as the playhead (scrubber) moving past the end of the loader bar. I posted a simple demo that displays the amount loaded and the amount played in text fields. So I have been having a serious issue with custom video where flash is saying that the amount of the video so far played is MORE than the amount that it has downloaded, which is clearly impossible. This results in various problems, such as the playhead (scrubber) moving past the end of the loader bar.I posted a simple demo that displays the amount loaded and the amount played in text fields. You can see it at: URL...[code]I encoded the video at a high rate so that it would download slowly. It may not playback smoothly, which I am not concerned about. What I am concerned about is the numbers below the video what are derived from ns.bytesLoaded and ns.time. If you watch it for a bit, the amount played should exceed the amount loaded.
I double checked the video duration and the bytestotal that flash is reporting and they are correct. I don't know of any way to check the accuracy of bytesloaded.If your internet connection is super fast, you may not see the issue - it only occurs when it is playing back faster than it is downloading - if this is the case, you may need to throttle your speed down, or start downloading a large file while you are watching this demo in order to see the issue.But this is a serious issue and means that building custom video interfaces with loadbars and playheads is impossible!

How can I increment attached movies once I hit a button? And returns to zero when it reached a certain amount.
Example.
There's a movie clip with an instance name of "release".
Once clicked
A movie clip will appear from the library.
and it adds another movie clip when clicked again.
And adds and adds and adds... until it reached 10 movie clip visible in the stage. When it reached 10, all of the called movie clips will disappear.

I've looked around and tried various examples that I've seen, but none of them seem to work with "simulate download".It doesn't seem like the swf does anything before it's completely loaded. It doesn't even display the background, just plain white.It also doesn't execute any code, so the event listeners I've seen used for preloaders don't work until the swf is completely loaded.Do I need to somehow designate a section of code to execute before the swf is fully loaded? How do I do that?

I`m making a preloader and everything seems to go ok, except that i want to show how much percent of the movie`s been loaded (basing on the Bytes not the frames), but i havent find the way to do it
Note; i made 200 layers, each two has a number from 0 to 1oo,and the actions to check and if not yet go back and check again. An if statement that goes like this

I am trying to create a dynamic image showcase for my homepage, which consists of a series of images fading in and out.I have created a flash file, with movie clip (empty) with an instance called "imageLoader"Then using some available AS I have called in the image (with a preloader function.) see below, the script has been pased on scene 1, frame 1.

I seem to be getting a funny problem whenever people click a bit too early on another link whilst a movieclip file is loadingthe prime example is here, you click to enter the site, then a .swf loads within a MC to give you the "homepage" content (in this case some rather pretty girls wearing some t-shirts) the problem comes when the user gets bored of waiting too long and decides to click else where, for example, the user clicks on events.This then begins loading the events.swf file into the loader_MC I have, and once loaded begins mass playing the file constantly ( warning, it does flash very quickly, so if that sort of thing set you off, dont click it =O!)This is what my preloader code looks like in the loading files (such as home.swf, events.swf, etc

I'm doing a game like whack a mole but I'll do it as easy as I can. I'll use only mouse to click on the object, then get 1 point. And I want the object/figure show up by random and then disappear like whack a mole. I could make it shows up and then disappear but my problem is I can't stop it and I don't know what function I should use for counting point when I click on the object.

I'm using a embeded variable in the source name of my .swf to define the where my swf is going to load the XML. And the XML tells my swf where to load the pictures.This works great - for a while. but after like 2-5 minutes it stops loading the images!(the movie is still running tho).I am using a fader-movieclip, and inside this movieclip in a specific frame I call for the "changePic();" function I created to change pictures. And when this movieclip is gonna run is told by a variable I call "InteractiveTimer".
When the timer<1, I play the movieclip, who after a few seconds plays the changePic(); function.So, anyone knows what's wrong? is it a browser-bug perhaps or server issues? (it's not happening when there is no more pictures, I've created a function to loop it. Everything works perfectly, but after a while it seems like it looses connection or smth :S )
EDIT: I'm using a Loader to load the images, when it's time for next picture I use:
myLoader.contentPath=myXML.firstChild.childNodes[i].childNodes[0]; i++;
that is what the fader-function is triggering ( changePic(); )

It loads XML that provides the text content for the project, then it loads a swf that contains a font in its library, then it loads the first of several content module swfs. When the font swf has inited, I'm registering its library font with Font.registerFont(), and using it in a TextFormat object. After everything is done, I can add code to the document class to create a text field on the stage of the main swf and format it successfully with the TextFormat object, but when I try to do the same thing inside the loaded content module swf, the text doesn't show up there at all.

trying to create an animated preloader.how to do a basic bar preloader but what I want is to fill a swirl shape (attached) based on the amount loaded.I can easily enough create the movie clip where the full outline is there and then it fills up but I have no idea how to turn that into a preloaded and have it fill based on the percent loaded. Am I correct in assuming I can't use a mask because of the irregular shape?

I am using the transition preloader on url]... to load in external swfs (http:url...). I have Spark's calendar component on one of the external swfs. All text appears fine when testing the calendar page itself but the text seems to disappear when it's loaded as an external swf into the main file. Is this a path issue?

When my mouse leaves the thumbnail image the previewArea image stays there. What is the coding to make the image disappear once the mouse leaves the thumbnail? I think that it's either in the previewLoaded or tn_out is where the script should go.

If I have a button on my screen that I want to make a box appear when clicked, how would I go about doing that? It also needs to disappear after 10 seconds. I am not sure if this is an issue, but it needs to appear on the screen while everything else is happening underneath it. So the rest of the animation must continue on as this appears above it.

I'm trying to code a click-and-point adventure game for a class, in which interactive objects glow when you mouse over them.... In the frame I have the background image (in which there is, say, a drawer), and an image of the drawer glowing placed exactly over top of that. The glow image is invisible until you mouse over it, at which point it is supposed to become visible (and disappear upon mouseout). I have the mouseover function linked to the entire glow image (which is a movieclip), but it only seems to work when you mouseover a specific portion of the image (usually a corner). The code looks something like this:

I have just started using flash. I needed to do this presentation for a client. In one scene I have provided him with a photo-gallery, where some 30 photos are placed randomly ...when playing the movie (published as projector) user will click any photo to watch it. For this I have used swapdepth so that photo, user clicks comes to front. Also applied drag to all these photos.
My code look something like this:

For doing this first I converted the photo to button ...then converted this button to a movie clip and gave a instance name to this. Then I went into the movie clip and applied the above code to the button placed inside the movie. Applying all this to all photos I placed them randomly on timeline. The problem is : code is working fine, it is dragging photos, bringing them to front etc. But I have user to go back and play another scene to continue the presentation. Problem starts here, the last photo clicked by user remains there, even though it is not present in that scene.

Ok ... so i think this is related to bitmap caching however the "this" is a dynamically created object that then dynamically has a .jpg placed inside of it. I want the object to disappear on rollOver and go back to normal onRollOut. But i can't figure out how to assign bitmap caching to the dynamic jpeg or this.movieClip as they are both dynamic.

I have an image on the stage which is bigger than the stage itself:
The stage is 700x550
The image is 2100x1650, and it's registration point is at its center, if I remember correctly.The initial location of the image on the stage is 350,75.I want to make sure that the user will be able to drag the image, as long as the edges of the image doesn't show.here's what I did:
mapRect = new Rectangle(0-mapMC.width/2, 0-mapMC.height/2, mapMC.width, mapMC.height);
and later on:
mapMC.startDrag(false,mapRect);
The the top and the left of the image are bounded well, but as far as the bottom and the right side of the image.
