any AS3 code that stops a revolving viewer from running when navigating to other pages. the thing is, it remains visible on all other pages only after viewing it.

My idea, which I'm sure has been done before because people are always coming up with new inventive ways to browse the internet, is to be able to allow the user to free roam the entire website on one page. I wouldn't be asking if I found it so I figured I could put my mind at ease and ask someone.url...In this map, it allows the user to free roam this map and find different cities. My idea is to have the user to browse a map of a website to different parts of what would normally be links to other pages. The whole web map would be one page and the user could just move their cursor up or down or left to right to each section of the website. Once they get to a section, they can click on certain parts. There is one website that is similar to my idea, but I want to eliminate the use of a navigation bar.I am new to flash but I love web design. I want to come up with a new way to navigate.

I made a flashfile in CS3 actionscript 3, placed the flvplaybackcomponent at the scene (layer 1, frame 1) and linked it to webserver for the streaming. So far so good, I made an swf of it an everything worked fine. Except for one major problem : de vid doesn't stop playing when I navigate to another button in the nav.panel. In fact when I click once more on the videobutton, there are two vid's playing at the same time

View 4 RepliesI have a contact form for which I have a tween. That contact form consists of two keyframes, first the form, I tried putting the code stop(); in the first keyframe but it didn't stop. I then changed stop(); to _root.stop();, which didn't work either. I have to stop it because otherwise users would see a thank you note before they even enter their details. What can I do? Converting to movieclip didn't work either, besides it puts a funny character when I press AltGr

as simple as it gets, right? Wrong, the preloader works however is get this error 1087: Syntax error: extra characters found after end of program. The preloader it self works it plays and when the movie is loaded it begins the movie, however the movie doesnt stop at any of my stop commands and keeps looping through itself over and over again till i exit the window.

Each movieclip sjunkBomb contains an animated movieclip. When the bombs reach the bottom I want to stop the inside animation.I guess it's better to stop them so they affect the rest of the game if there are a lot of bombs. I know how to hide them with sjunkBomb[x] .visible = false; but if I want to stop them? sjunkBomb[x].stop(); doesn't work!?
I followed a tutorial using AC3 and flash CS4, to build a website for myself. Want to have a video file in my site with back ground music and sound effect. I did fine doing it but there is some problem I cannot figure out. My movie clip starts nice but half way through when I go to other pages, the sound and music plays in all the other pages. I have zero knowledge about coding and English is my second language. How can I stop that playing in other pages? I am trying hard to see if someone had same problem like I do but can's find anyone posted any thing.This is the code I have for that page with video on it.

When my animations are playing in the flashplayer and you rightclick and uncheck the play command only the animations in the main timeline stop playing. All the child animations continue to play. How do I make it so they all will stop playing when play is unchecked?
Is there a event listener that monitors if the movie has been stopped?
I new to Flash and Action Script 3.0. I've just designed my first Flash website (for a band), and one of the pages has an MP3 player on the audio page. It plays fine, as long as you're on that page. But the problem is, when you go to a different page in the website, it keeps playing, and then when you return to the audio page, a new instance of the song that's playing starts playing on top of the song that's already playing. It's a jumble of sound that can't be stopped unless you close out of the website.[code]...

I am building a flash application using flex. From time to time, I see an issue in IE 7 and 8 where the user logs into the site and the browser content pane is completely grey and the entire page (html, javascript and flash) won't load until the user clicks the X (Stop) button next the address bar. As soon as the X is clicked, the html loads and then the swf file loads immediately.
This doesn't happen for me or any other developers on the project so it is very hard to diagnose. The users are all using the latest flash player. The only difference between our setups that I can think of is that we have the debug version of flash player and they probably do not.
I put the "stop" action at the end of my movie on the last keyframe, but the movie doesn't stop!

View 2 RepliesIm new in actionsript and I have a problem with _root. I have a swf. with two MC en the main stage: Mc_menu and Mc_pages. The Mc_menu has several buttons with the code "_root.pages=2" which moves the different pages that are in the Mc_pages. If I publish the fla. it works perfectly. Now, when I wanted to load this swf into another with "loadmovie" with an empty MC the pages stop working... I guess is because of the rutes, but i don�t know how to refer them correctly. What I have right now is: in the main stage an empty MC and a button with the code:

I would like to know how to track my pages with google analytics to see which pages are getting the most clicks. My site is XML / Flash the menu is xml. Could I put the tracking code on each of the menu items in the xml file?

The problem is I'm not sure how to stop the parallax from moving when I click on the MC pages on the map. They are marked as Village1 , 2 and 3. The pages AS3 scripts are under parallax-level3 MC. View 5 RepliesI have a simple text animation(revolving text) it works fine althought i would like ti to pause for 5 seconds at completion in the second to last keyframe i added the following:

pauseAnim,=setInterval(this,"nextframe",5000);
i added a final keyframe and added this to it:
clearInterval(pauseAnim);
play();
it does not re-start as expected instead it stops and thats it,,,,, i need it to restart after 5 seconds?

I am trying to create an app that lets the user draw on a stage. I can start drawing, but the app doesn't stop drawing. I don't know if this is an Action Script issue or if I have created a structure that just doesn't work. Here is my code:

I'm experiencing difficulty when playing sound files. When I start the playback of the timelime using the enter/return button everything plays as it should. When I press it again to stop, the visuals stop but the sound file in the timeline just keeps playing until it reaches the end of the track- even if I have cut some out of the timeline. I used to use mx 2004 and never had the problem. Note: I am using this in college not on a personal computer.
View 1 RepliesI have movie clip buttons with a dynamic sound withing a slide show. Slide show consists of 3 movie clips connecting on frames 1, 300 and 900. The movie clip buttons with sound over are within the connecting movie clips. My problem is that although the sound and buttons work fine most of the time, sometimes, particularly if I mouse over the button wile it's transitioning on one of the connecting frames (300, 900), the sound doesn't stop... I'm sure I'm missing something in the Action Script?? Here's the script I'm using for the buttons:

I have an animation with 11 layers, 4 of them have a regular time line, 4 others have a actionscript animation(moving left to right and replacing left when disappear(they are clouds)), 1 other is just a layers for actions, and the last 2 contains a MovieClip named "fond_mc" and "verdure_mc"(i'm french, in english: "background_mc" and "grass_mc").
