Professional :: Possible To Stop The Same Swf Button File From Having To Reload On Different Html Pages?
Feb 2, 2010Each time you go to another page the buttons flash white while having to reload. Is there any way around this?

Professional :: Flash Swf In Html Pages?
May 23, 2011I have created a twitter API in flash using ActionScript 3.0 which loads the latest feeds from a user by using the screen name of the twitter user. When I test the swf locally it works fine. But the problem comes when I embed the swf in html page.The swf loads but does not show the content where it needs to access the TWITTER url to load the feeds.It doesn't load the feeds. It asks for the global settings to be changed.So, I have changed the settings and played the html page.I works fine.My question is when I will upload the files to a server the same problem will come and it will not load the feeds. How to solve this problem permanently?

Flex :: Pages With Flash Won't Load Until User Clicks The X (stop) Button On IE
Dec 1, 2009I am building a flash application using flex. From time to time, I see an issue in IE 7 and 8 where the user logs into the site and the browser content pane is completely grey and the entire page (html, javascript and flash) won't load until the user clicks the X (Stop) button next the address bar. As soon as the X is clicked, the html loads and then the swf file loads immediately.
This doesn't happen for me or any other developers on the project so it is very hard to diagnose. The users are all using the latest flash player. The only difference between our setups that I can think of is that we have the debug version of flash player and they probably do not.

Feb 2, 2010I have continued to find a resolution and have had no luck. My website has 5 flash buttons (tabs) to take you to a new html page. Each time you go to a page the button seems to have to re-load creating a "white blinking" inside the cell. The background of the fla file is black and I have the table cell background set to black hoping thatbut to no avail. I thought once a swf is loaded it won't have to re-load. The swf files are the same on all pages

Professional :: Button Cursor Not Showing In HTML File?
Mar 1, 2012I am working with Flash CS5 (AS3) on an iMAC running 10.6.8, My problem is, when I test my Flash file in Flash, the button rollovers change the cursor from the arrow to the hand. When I publish the file as SWF and HTML, the cursor only changes in the SWF file, not the HTML. People know that there is a button there if it doesn't change. Has any one run into this issue before, if so, how can I correct this issue?

I can get it to work locally by including the full URL (i.e., "...My Documentsedinnerpartiesimagesp3-large.jpg), but I know this isn't embedded in the swf file.

Apr 15, 2009I have been trying to figure out the best way to load content into a container on an .php page which has three different .swfs already loaded - one is an mp3 player which I do not want to stop playing (this will obviously happen on a page refresh). The objective is to keep a flash menu for navigation given it's nice animation capabilities, but load page content into a container underneath. There are JavaScript files out there that work in conjunction with php (ajax) to accomplish this, but once I throw flash into the mix everything goes sideways. I know you can include js with the ExternalInterface.call function, but this only solves the js portion not the php bit.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Stop The FLV Sound, Not Playing In All Pages?
Jan 8, 2010I followed a tutorial using AC3 and flash CS4, to build a website for myself. Want to have a video file in my site with back ground music and sound effect. I did fine doing it but there is some problem I cannot figure out. My movie clip starts nice but half way through when I go to other pages, the sound and music plays in all the other pages. I have zero knowledge about coding and English is my second language. How can I stop that playing in other pages? I am trying hard to see if someone had same problem like I do but can's find anyone posted any thing.This is the code I have for that page with video on it.

Professional :: F4v File Won't Show Up From The Html File?
Jun 13, 2010I never worked with movie files before and I'm having problems to play a f4v file from a html file.
Inside flash, when I do a ctrl+enter, the video shows and plays just fine.
When building the .html file to play it all, only my presentation and movie skin will show up but the movie won't load.
Even if I do a file > publish the video won't show up or play. Everything I have on timeline is working just fine (and again, even the videoskin is showing up).
Now, do I have to change anything inside publish settings or do I need to try something different with html?

Aug 22, 2009I new to Flash and Action Script 3.0. I've just designed my first Flash website (for a band), and one of the pages has an MP3 player on the audio page. It plays fine, as long as you're on that page. But the problem is, when you go to a different page in the website, it keeps playing, and then when you return to the audio page, a new instance of the song that's playing starts playing on top of the song that's already playing. It's a jumble of sound that can't be stopped unless you close out of the website.[code]...

Jun 26, 2009I'm in the process of switching from AS 2.0 to AS 3.0, so apologies if this is really obvious.. I am modifying/updating an old template for a client and am inserting customized navigation buttons. One is a play/pause button and I was able to swap the old buttons for the new in the library and show them on the stage with no problems. When I export to swf to preview the movie, the new button just flashes repeatedly between the different "play" and "pause" states (up, over, etc).
I checked to make sure I didn't change any names of the buttons or movie clips. I tried inserting stop(); but it doesn't work...probably because I'm not putting it in the right spot. When I select the button, it has "up, over, down, hit" in the Timeline and says the selection can't have any actions applied to it.
