ActionScript 3.0 :: Vars To External Swf Loaded In New Window?

so i've got a swf that opens a new window with a swf . (AS3) i want to send these 4 :

how can i send these 4 to the clients.swf and how do i check on the other side if they exist or not ? i searched and got all sort of details about flash -> php , as2 to as3 , swf loaded in the same swf as child etc. But i couldn t not find something spefici to my problem . Also i want to use something like POST so the url looks clean as it is .

I am just trying to send some variables from flash to an asp page. Using the below method the variables are sent to the page.
sendText.loadVariables("http://archive.mysite.com/livefeed/pages/login.asp", "POST");
My issue is that I want the page to open in a new window and then have the post method send the vars.
Presently it does not open a new window.

My company uses a Flash driven activity engine to deliver various types of quizzes and media and such to students. The engine itself is kind of old; originally developed in 2004 or 2005; we inherited it from another company we bought. It reads XML workflows to deliver the different types of content in different configurations to the user. Basically it is a chain of swfs that load each other, and in turn load various xml and media. ANYWAY, it uses SWFObject and Flashvars to allow loading at different "layers." Meaning one can bypass the splash screen and directly access an individual workflow or question directly. We don't currently have access to the FLA from which this was created, and now, due to hardcoded branding stuff, we have to load the primary swf through another swf to block it out.
My problem is this: the loader swf (start.swf) is absorbing the flashvars and they aren't being passed to the primary swf (shell.swf). I can't edit shell.swf, so I have to figure out a way to get start.swf to pass the flashvars to shell.swf as if shell.swf was getting them directly from the javascript. I'm not so worried about this, found lots of various solutions, but I can't for the life of me figure out how shell.swf is getting the flashvars. So I can't figure out what to pass to shell.swf until I know how shell.swf is coded to access the variables.
I used SWFDecompiler to break down shell.swf and can't seem to find any reference to _root.myVar or _level0.myVar or Application. application. parameters.myVar or root.loaderInfo.parameters.myVar. I've also tried using Cheat Engine and some Flash Trainers to sniff out where the variables are being assigned, but I've run out of things to look for. The only place in the AS where I see the flashvars referenced can be seen here: URL...(flashvars are: subsecid, src, layer, folder_path, and loc). However, I only have a limited understanding what is happening here.[code]

I'm trying to access a variable from my main movie in a loaded movie. I can't get it to work however. The movie loads into the main movie but I can't access anything from that main movie. I see that there a few write ups out there about this, but I just can't get it. I attached a zip as well as the source below.

In first frame of my movie I've got this:

and a dynamic textbox called "myHTML". If I name 'var' on this textbox everything works fine, but I want to write it in actionsscript instead. Where do I write that? (I have 3 different vars in the text-file)

I am developing an air application where I have to drop an image and save the Image path, width, height to variables and pass those variables to external swf. I load the swf like this:

I am getting this error: the way I am passing the URL of the swf is incorrect and not supported in AIR.

i have a loader.swf contains important functions and variables that loads 10 external swf-s (site compontents) in a container MC, those external swf-s also have some important functions and variables.my problem is that i don't know how to access the variables and functions declared in the main swf ( loader.swf ) from the loaded swf-s.so the hierarchy looks like:

My problem is i had 2 swfs parent.swf and child .swf and i loaded the child.swf file in parent.swf using Loader class there is a textbox and a button in child.swf when we enter text in the textbox(say,notepanel_txt) and click on the button(say, mySubmit) the text present in textbox(notepanel_txt.text) is saved in the database using URLLoader and an variable called success(which is String type) must be available to parent. the code is as follows:

On my html page I have two frames, one for navigation and the other for content. The navigation menu is an swf. Most of the content is html, except for the 'gallery' page.
The thumbnails for the gallery appear within the navigation. I can get the pictures to load from the thumbnails into the 'content' frame using LoadVars sendAndLoad.
However, doing this means that the flash gallery refreshes itself each time a thumbnail is clicked (thereby losing the transition effect).
So, how do I load the images in the other frame without reloading the flash??
Could I do it using external interface? ..

I'm importing external vars using loadVariablesNum() from .txt files. I know that each variable must be surrounded by amperstands (&) in order define the start and end of each variable.
ie:

&var_1=abc&
&var_2=xyz&
And then I want to use something like:
[AS]mc.gotoAndPlay(_level#.var_1);[/AS]
But my question is (for simplicity), is there a way to do this if the amperstand at the end is not included, such as:

&var_1=abc
&var_2=xyz
Flash returns the first variable above as var_01="abc " which is understandable since it was not closed properly. However, I want to be able to use the gotoAndPlay(); with var_01="abc ". I have tried labelling the frame with abc , but that didn't work.
I also tried using frame_array = new Array(_level#.var_1.split("")); and then said gotoAndPlay(frame_array[0]); but for some reason I couldn't get this to work either....

i am trying to load vars from a text file into a load vars object.
var kitchentext = new LoadVars();
kitchentext.load('moccastext.txt');
Once in the object, i thought i could reference them like so
kitchentext.name
kitchentext.style
but i am having trouble doing this.
i have a textbox called displytext.
_root.displaytext.text = kitchentext.name;

[URL]I have: main.swf (a menu) and I have module.swf (content)If you navigate to Subsea Wellhead Systems/SS-15 BigBore II and click on that I have it load an external swf which covers most of the parent. So far so good. My problem is unloading the loaded 'Child' swf with the button provided on the loaded 'Child' swf.below is the code I used to load the file but I cant, for the life of me, find a way to unload it.

I spent almost a week trying to figure out how to unload a currently loaded swf using its button and loading a new swf... I have three files, a main.fla, file1.fla and file2.fla. In my main.fla, I have a code which loads the other two files. If i will click the "unload" button in the file1.swf, I would like the main.fla to unload the file1.swf and load the other file, file2.swf. Here is the code to load the file1.swf:

I was following the tutorial on this site for the pop up window and was having some problems. When I click on my link to open the pop up window I also get another window that says [object]. The pop up window also pops up behind my original window.I launching the pop up window from a swf loaded into another swf.

Using AS3, and without modifying the published HTML file, I want close the browser window (IE/Firefox) in which my SWF is playing on click of a button. This is not a pop-up window that the SWF is running in. It is the main browser window.
Here's my code:

I have a gallery made and the images are loaded using xml. The images are links to larger images, but the problem is, the larger image opens in the same window. Here's the code that calls the images and makes them links:

I have 2 swfs loaded that use a local connection to communicate, they work fine when loaded on the same window but when I load them on separate windows it gives me the following error.

I have a flex Air program that loads external content with the HTMLLoader.Now for some reason whenever I load a page that has any flash content a blank system window pops up outside of my program. It's completely blank, all white with min, max and close buttons.If I close it any flash content I loaded stops working. For the life of my I can't figure out what's happening and there's no messages in the console and no title for the window.

I have a flash site with 10 different tabs/sections with a stage size of 1200 x 1372. The final tab of the site contains a photo gallery, which I would like to have a different stage size and just fit the browser screen as it loads an external SWF which auto fits to the screen. At the moment, it auto fits the stage size meaning the bottom half of the photos don't show. How I can just alter the last page?
