I am trying to build a client-to-client streaming program - client 1 has a webcam and client 2 will connect to client 1 and be able to view the webcam. Is this possible using 2 swf clients? Can someone point me in the right direction as to what commands would be used to connect the two clients. I have tried: binary sockets Connect() where each clients points to the other and they both time-out NetConnection to try to point each client to one another to establish a connection, but no luck with that either; this seems more oriented towards streaming content to a flash media server rather than to another flash client.
how can I find on fms server that client disconnected if if client disconnected due to power cut off. I client manually close the application then onDisconnect on server is called but if due to power cut off it does not called.
I now have managed to get the red5 server up and running and ive been using the samples to stream my webcam live from one computer from another and it works fine.Now to step 2. Making a custom client that autoconnects to my live feed.
Can we perform client to client file transfer, client to server can be done by FileReference. but how do we do client to client transfer, for example if a user wants to send file to another user to whom he is chatting online.
I'm getting to work with with red5 and am trying to make a basic app that will stream a random video to the client. Let's say I have 3 flvs on my server, I'd like a client to connect to my red5 app and have 1 of these 3 videos streamed to them. The only streaming i've been able to figure out so far uses netStream.play("video.flv"), this doesn't work for me, I want the server to decide on the file to stream rather than the client.
I´m having problems with h.264 in Flash. My idea is streaming a h.264 video from Red5 to a Flash client with ActionScript 3 or 4. The original code supports streaming video in .flv format with Sorensen and I would like to support .flv format with h.264 encoding.This is my original code:
We're writing a flash application that can download a MP3 file, convert it to a Sound object, get the raw data and make some processing (like adding sounds, change octaves). After the processing, we want to send the data back to the server in chunks, so the server will be able to glue the data together and recover the new generated file. The problem is: if we send to the server "wav" pieces of sound, we are able to glue them together without any problem in the generated file. However, if we convert each wav piece to a mp3 file (so we can send a smaller file to the server) and join the mp3 files at the server, the result is a sound with some problems at the merge point.
This is how we load the mp3 file from the server:
sourceSnd.load(new URLRequest("sample url to mp3")); sourceSnd.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, carregou);
This is how we convert each piece of mp3 to bytearray and wav:
Am building a video chat application and i was wondering if there are any native events for the NetStream that fire,that can help in detecting when a remote client starts/stops streaming video over his outgoing stream (NetStream) to which the other client has subscribed over P2P/RTFMP in AS3 ?I maybe able to dispatch custom messages since the two clients are already connected, but i don't want to add the extra overhead.
I just made these quick flash banners for a client but he's saying that the text isn't showing up for him.I have the banners hosted here - http:[url]...........And any idea why it wouldn't be showing up for him? I'm assuming he's running on an outdated version of Flash but I know if that's the case he's going to worry about other people being on the same outdated version he's on and they won't be able to see the text.
i'm running into major problems with writing an irc client, it works perfectly when i execute it through flash, but when i upload it to a site, it won't connect, i understand that i need an crossdomain file, i've been doing alot of research, and can't make head's or tails
debugging shows that even though i do: Security.loadPolicyFile("http://example.com/crossdomain.xml");, it still attempts to read an crossdomain file from the target irc server, however, i don't have control over the target machine(nor should that be necessary), how do i get around this, or what am i doing wrong?
what i really need, is a simple example of connecting to an server that i don't control to load some resources(i.e grabbing an image), where all the crossdomains file's sit, and how it's generally done, googling around, it seems this information isn't as easy to come by as i thought
edit: also, i'm using raw sockets to connect to the irc server, if that makes a diffrence edit: alright, been reading alot more information, it looks like i do need to have a policy file to connect to said server, which is beyond retarded, please, someone tell me there's a way around this, but that doesn't explain why it works through flash?
I want to put an IRC client in my webpage. I know there are many clients but not opensource ones (I didn't find any). So, do you know some free and open source projects to implement an irc client on a webpage? I mean is it a good idea to have one made in flash?, one made in html5?, one made in javascript/php?.
I was trying to write a stress tester for my own protocol when I stumbled up on this problem.Anytime I create more than 4 connections from one PC Flash denies to receive anymore messages from the server although I'm still able to connect, and write messages.
How do I get the clientIP from users in my regisrtationforms? It's easy to get the IP with the user isn't using a Proxy, Proxycacade or VPN. But if he uses one of those its difficult. X-Fowarded-For isn't reliable and fails within cascads.
But there are possibilities, because JavaApplets and Flash aren't using the Proxy-Services. How can I archieve to get the clientIP with those technics? I prever to use a small Flash-Code to get the IP from the client, but how to implement?Another way should be a counterpixel which is using IPv6. Most of the proxyservices only support IPv4, can I tell an image only to use IPv6?
Is there a way to get client hardware details like Processor Speed & amount of RAM using action script (Based on Flex AIR application). Are there any new classes included in Flex SDK 4.0 for this purpose ?
where I can find a tutorial or source files of an AS3 chat client with VB.net server.I know there are AS3 Client and Java servers, but to put it bluntly, I have no experience with Java and am more familiar with VB. If no such thing exists then I would have to learn Java which would be nice but could take a while.
I used the XML gallery w/thumbnails in the tutorial section of this site. It worked great, but my client cant see it! She is on DSL, i think it may be taking too long to load. Does anyone know how this movie loads? Does it load ALL of the thumbnails when the movie starts? If thats the case, i can see why she might have some problems. I just checked, I have 24 thumbs that are saved without any compression (60k a piece). Thats almost 1.5 megs. Can someone with lower than a cable connection give this site a quick look? There will some other bugs, the site isnt finished yet.
I have a client (a photographer) that wants to include a login button for clients. This will take the client to the server where that pars all of this possible in Flash? I have used it for quite some time, but mainly for animation and basic intros, etc. I have been searching for components that handle what I need, but coming up short
I am making a website for a client in which I need to incorporate some way of allowing easy client editting.Having looked online I havent found anything that will fit the requirements exactly but have seen the functionality on other sites in the past. Ideally I would use a secure web page with a form where the client could select the item to edit using a drop down and then proceed to fill in a few boxes, saving the new content that would be then viewable in the flash file.
I origianlly thought of an html form that stores the saved info in an XML file that could then be drawn out in the flash site.Is that the best way?
How to call a particular client from fms.Actually i m making a private chat application in which text messg send from one client to another specific client through FMS.So i m confused how gms recognize a particular clients.I am avoiding application .client[] array that contains all the connected users references.becoz it changes at the time of connection and disconnection of client from fms.
I would like to develop a package made in Flash, if I put it on the internet as such and have downloads etc, is there a way to generate a password (or activation key and a password) that can then be embedded with the download so it can be used offline. If I can automate the process so I do not need to make individual packages but can control their use... this would be good. I don't have a problem if they also have internet connection, but the package needs to function off line. I guess I could use a batch passwords then selectively send out passwords in that batch, but this seems heavy.
I am fairly new to FMS and really am trying to learn about it. My question is simple I hope;
I would like a message to pop up to a client when they connect that the max users has been reached. I have it set for 5 users and so I would like when the 6th user tries to connect to watch the video, a little box will pop up and say "Sorry, Max users has been reached. Please try again in a few minutes."
I was able to develop something and get it output through trace commands by following a tutorial I saw online, but I could never get any sort of message box I built to pop up.
