I have made a Flash banner for my website using CS3 but I wanted to add a hyperlink to it so that when someone clicks on my banner it will bring them to a different page on my site, kinda like the way ad banners work on most websites on the net. I have the official Adobe CS3 Flash manual as well as another one on Flash CS3 just as thick but I can't seem to find anything in either that explains how I can do this.
I am having trouble adding a flash banner to my website and I am running php5. I want to use it to help my site sell the new iPad 2. Which product do I need to use to create the flash banner and display photos that I am selling on my auction?
I am currently using CS4 flash and have designed a banner. I cannot get a hyperlink to work when you click on the banner. I have tried multiple action scripts and have no idea.
the last step was to add hyperlinks. As soon as I add a single link, size jumps to 26K ! Even after removing the link, size stays at 26K. Only way to go back to 8k is to close the file, and reopen the previous copy. I did a bunch of googling but couldn't find anything.
I add a hyperlink by just entering text in the "link" section of the property panel when u select a text.
I would do it in AS, however I am trying to make the flash file SEO friendly and thought maybe the AS approach will make it difficult for search bots to index.
I have made a banner in CS4 and I need to make it a button scripting in the code for a hyperlink. This function seems to have changed quite a bit in action script 3.
I'm building a portfolio website for my design work. The whole website is Flash based. I have a Flash banner that I would like to add to the website but I can't seem to place it on stage. Is there a way to stream the banner? If I do that, how do I place it's location on stage?
I am a c# asp.net developer and need to implement a number of flash website banners. Previously for static image banners I have implemented on_click code behind or javascript to log the banner has been clicked back to a database and process the re-direction. I don't have much knowledge of flash other than I know that a flash program can handle on-click events of the program. Therefore, can somebody suggest the best solution for capturing and processing on-click events of a flash object on a webpage.
I need to display a Username in a Flash Banner in my website. The Site is PHP and the header is made in Flash. My requirement is that, when a user Logs in, his name should be displayed in the Top of the site (in the Flash banner here) like "Welcome User". Is it possible ? I have the PHP file which displays username. All I need is that to merge it to the flash banner (through actionscript, isnt it ?)
I purchased a flash website template and am in the process of editing my main.fla file. In order to get listed on an advertising website with a higher rating, I have to place a reciprocal link to them on my site. However, I cannot figure out how to place an html link/banner on my site for other businesses. If I paste the html code in a text box, all that shows up is the html code rather than the image and link it is meant to generate.
My client is complaining that the site that will be hosting her banner is refusing to add the forwarding link to her banner (that upon clicking will redirect to her website). I'd like to know how I can add this function to the Flash CS5 banner I have designed. Also, I have a clicktag on my banner if that makes a difference.
I have been building a website in dreamweaver, but have flash buttons which work fine. But the banner I have made in the page just has a white background. When I export it in flash it works, and when I preview in the dreamweaver browser it still works. I do not know what I have done wrong. Is the coding in the server wrong for the flash?
I purchased a slideshow/bannner online and cannot get it to work on my main flash document.In CS4 I click on the homepage 1st key frame then from the library I drag the banner_mc into the homepage stage.
I'm making a piece of flash used for a website banner, previously i've had very little experience with action scipt as i've made various animations only having to use simple functions such as "stop()" and i've made a never ending scrolling menu also, but now i want to have an event that "onPress" a small animation is played where the mouse clicked the banner. What would be the appropriate script to link the .swf i make to the "onPress" command? or what is the right command in general assuming it is that command
I am having this problem on a website where the flash banners for each page wont load in any browser until you either refresh F5 the page or try re-clicking the page nav links a few times. Once loaded they are fine, but if browser's cache is cleared, no go. [URL] Some research suggested "Usually this happens if there are a lot of linkaged objects in the library with 'Export in first frame' option enabled. If this is the case, please disable this option. The problem is not in the quantity of the linkaged movieclips with 'Export in first frame' option enabled, the problem is the size of the objects which are linkaged."
I'm trying to make a Flash banner for a website and I'm having trouble with the play/pause part. Right now I've got it set up as 100 frames with 10 keyframes and 10 pictures and at the end it goes back to the beginning. Here's my AS:

I have de-compiled the SWF and checked out the library, but really have no idea in regards to Flash files and their construction as to what is or isn't an issue.

It works when the domain is hardcoded but doesn't work when I am using the clickTag. Is it possible to add variables like this to a clickTag? How could this be done to actually work?
I have a all flash site that has several FLV's that people can click on called Green Solutions, Home Control, Temperature Control. My client wants to know if its possible to put a hyperlink in a email to his clients that would directly link them to any one of those videos. I assume I need to pass a variable of some kind but I am at a lost of where to start with this thing.

We recently decided to add a flash banner to our site which calls an xml file which loads the price and name for 5 separate products and keeps looping through until a user clicks a product. Unfortunately, it appears each time the file loops it calls another iteration of the xml file -- so if a user opens our homepage and walks away the xml file could be called 100s of times. My question is, can we set up the actionscript so the xml file is called just once?
I have a flash banner and I am looking to insert a count down time and when the timer runs out I want the timer to fade out and start a new movie clip.
PHP Code: //Create your Date() object var endDate:Date = new Date(2010,5,15); //Create your Timer object //The time being set with milliseconds(1000 milliseconds = 1 second) var countdownTimer:Timer = new Timer(1000); [Code] .....
I have been given an .swf file that needs to be added to an HTML page - no problem. That file then needs to link to another site. Is this something that needs to be added to the file before it is loaded onto a website?
I've seen the following code provided in other threads, but either it is meant to be used when creating the file, or I'm not using it correctly when I try adding it to my .asp page.
on (release) { getURL ("<URL here>", "_blank"); }
If I'm not trying to do something impossible, edit the code below to make this file link:
I was given the task of adding a preloader to an already existing flash website. The website is completely in flash. Each "page" is on a layer and are made of animated movie clips. It is a portfolio website, so some pages take a while to load up. That's where the preloader comes in. I want to put a preloader at the very beginning of the page that will play as the entire site is being loaded, so when the user clicks through, each page shows up quickly and seamlessly.
I have created a preloader in a separate flash file, but can not get it to work with the website. How do I combine these two files to work?

I am being asked to create an expandable banner for a website. They want an ad to start at 175x300 and automatically expand to fill the webpage when you enter the page. Then have a close button. I have basic flash skills and have never created this before.
