Flash :: Merge FLA Files Or Loading A Swf File On Another Swf
Aug 11, 2010I have two FLA files, call them MAP.fla and ANI.fla, that I have to merge. One way I tried was to load the ANI.swf in MAP.swf during runtime using the normal way of doing it, using Loader and URLRequest. However, when I try to run it, flash detects errors about methods I have included in ANI.swf.
I do know that the Loader and URLRequest method of doing it works because I tried using it with a different SWF file with simpler content.
P.S. ANI.swf contains methods, instances with classes of their own and timer events. If Loader cannot work on my SWF, is there any other way of carefully doing this without affecing my FLAs?

Jun 3, 2011I'm trying to combine movieclips that I've created in multiple flash files and bring them into a single flash file. The structure of this "program" is it has navigation (forward, backward, menu, contents, etc...) and it is timeline based. On each frame there is a MC that is a mini game (matching game, multiple choice, drag and drop) and the user makes there way through each page. The problem that I'm having is that alone in there respective flash files they work fine and there are no errors or bugs. Then when I try to bring these together and essentially make a longer "program" with all of the smaller flash files put together by coping the frame and pasting it into the bigger file it gives me all kinds of errors and output warnings.

I am wondering if is possible to cut some part of one flv file (audio tag) and paste to another and overwrite duration for output file. [URL]..file-length-using-pure-php but I do not know how can I get an audio tag from a flv file? How many audio tags a flv file has? Which tags should I overwrite in output file to be able to play audio from two merged files?

I'm very new to AS3, but I know JQuery, JS, PHP, etc. After going through multiple steps of selecting pieces to customize a character, you are supposed to be able to download the final product using fileReference(). Everything works, and I can download the image in the end, but the problem is that I cannot capture all of several movieclips on the stage, I can only capture one. Maybe this will help clarify:

I have the VDivided box set up so the user can drag it to make one of the documents bigger or smaller.Is there a way to get the look of a VDivided box & the functionality of an Accordian, so that when the user clicks the VDivided box (or double clicks, I haven't decided) one of the documents will be hidden? (For instance, double clicking on the right-most side of the divider will hide the left document, and vice-versa)
In addition, if the user wanted to drag the divider, then they can do that as well. I don't have much, but here it is so far:

May 4, 2010What is the best way to merge two alpha channels? What I want to do is, given channel values, use the value which is greater.
I tried using .merge(), but it appears to only blend channels with a linear value between current and destination value.
I looked into .draw(), which would work well using a blendmode like LIGHTEN, but it doesn't allow drawing per channel so I can't target the alpha channel only. The ALPHA blendmode didn't seem to do anything when used with .draw(), and ERASE gives an unwanted hard edge.
I also looked into .copyChannel(), but it doesn't allow any blending logic, merely copying a rectangular region from one BitmapData to another.

Aug 24, 2005I keep battling the slideshow, and now I have some other doubts. I tried to find the answer to this on other threads on this forum, but couldnïż½t find anything. So, here it goes:I now have a photo slideshow where one photo fades out, and the next one follows, fading in.Between the fade out and fade in, there is a short interval of white, the background of the flash animation. I have to replace this white interval, with the fadeout of the previous image, so that the first and the next image sort of merge. How can I do this?lso, on the very last image of the presentation, there is a jump back to the first image, without the fadeout. How can the loop be made so that the last image fades out too, and not simply disappear?Here is the code Im using right now:

The user would have a choice of dropping several items into the globe - a house, a candy cane, a fir tree, etc. - and, when done, hit a shake button. The globe and items would shake together, then the snow would appear.I've got the drag and drop and snow functionality (using Flint particles). However, I'm not sure how to get the globe and the items to move together once the user hits play.[code]I'm at a loss as to how to get them both to work together. A DisplayObject, perhaps?
