Flash 10 :: Site Testing - Text Misaligns After Uploading To Web

I'm taking a flash website template purchased by a friend and configuring to suit his business. Yesterday, I viewed the .swf file from my local machine, and everything looks exactly as it should. I also uploaded to my server to view live on the web in a couple different browsers, and everything was fine. Today, I uploaded a newer edit to the site and the .xml file to test the browser compatibility, and the text in my navigation has disappeared, and the content text is double spaced, causing major alignment and much of the text to remain unseen. This leaves the viewer unable to see which pages they are navigating to and they will see a poorly developed site.
To sum it up...it looked fine yesterday, then after some edits to both the source .fla and an .xml file that provides the content, i have issues after uploading it to the web.

First off, my main problem is that my company's website is loading slow and I'm not sure why. I made a flash banner to my friend so he could upload it on his site. [URL]. Image:
The flash banner on top loads in Mac OS X in every browser I try. On Windows though it works only on Firefox & Internet Explorer Beta 9. I disabled the firewall to see if that work, but no result. There's an inconsistency issue. At my workplace it works as it should. It's also important to note that other .swf files on the net plays fine, so it's only this particular site.

I recently added a loader page ("loader.swf") to my flash website. Basically, I created a new file and added a loader which shows the percent loaded, and then it loads in the "index.swf" file. My question is: when I upload my site to the web server, do I use the loader page as the "index" page? My dilemma about that is that I don't want the URL to read "[URL]"...

i have a short swf that has two movie clips that act as holders for thumbnails to get loaded in a random fashion. it works fine when i test my movie, and even when i export the swf. the images load in the placeholder - no problems.when i upload the swf to the website, the thumbnails dont load and the holders stay blank.i experimented locally and moved my .swf file into a folder that didn't contain a folder containing all the thumbnails. this gave the same result as the website (blank holders).when i move the folder containing all the images into this new folder with the swf, the images load in the movie and no blank holders are seen.
easy solution i though, i upload the folder to the website in the same directory as the swf file. did that but the images still dont load. is it that the swf is attempting to read the folder that would be on the local drive and not go for the copy in the same containing folder on the remote area?here is my code,

I basically need to scale an object up when the user rollsover the button which I have created dynamically already and I need to make sure the object is fully scaled up before I can allow the user to scale it back down again.Ive tried putting 2 tweens (x and yscale) into a function but not sure how to check if the tweens have finished. Im assuming if I check the function is complete it wont take into consideration the tweens may still be running.

I have a main movie here that loads in an external swf through a container mc. everything is aligned and positioned to where it should be, and they are also set to that value onresize. the problem is, when my swf is loaded in, it works fine and is in the right position, same when you resize it. BUT, if you resize the window before the swf is loaded, it misaligns, until you resize!!

I have a static text box with headers in one color, text with other color, and in this text there is also bold text and normal text, some of which are hyperlinks.The problem is that, when i render the movie out, flash creates line spaces between paragraphs, when there aren any spaces, it put all the words in the same line with the same weight, when theres is two diferent weights, and theres a hyperlink that doens

I made this player to be very extensible. The user just needs to upload his mp3's and a txt. When I debug there aren't any problems, but the sound doesn't come out. The text file needs to be called total_tracks.txt and the text inside that file is "totalTracks=2", where the 2 would be whatever number of files you have in your music directory. Instance names are playMusic, pauseMusic, nextTrack, and prevTrack. MP3 names are mp3-0, mp3-1, mp3-2, etc. and are stored in a directory/folder named "music."

I recently updated text in a page. Now, when I test the movie, random characters within the modified text are missing. Is this a bug or am I overlooking something? I am using Adobe Flash CS3 on Windows XP.

I'm in trouble, because i need to build a site for a customer who needs an uploading file system, but i can't handle it. He wants to have the possibility to upload images and text that will be visible in another page of the site. These are the offers of his shop, that will be shown as a list in another mc. This console should be invisible for visitors (i'll use a password system to prevent accesses).
I know there are many examples and tutorials for this ("flash upload file" in google), but im a newbee in programming and i really can't figure out how to solve this problem. It could be even a php system. I don't care about graphics cause it would be invisible for visitors. What i care is that those images and text are reported in that "offer list" mc. Finally, is possible to have an auto resize (pixels and kbs) of the images?

Basically I have a photography site that I update regularly with client images and new information, but me and flash doesn't exactly get on! I bought a flash template and have spent about a month fiddling about and slowly learning how flash works, and my knowledge of flash (non-existant) has shot up dramatically, but there are still things that baffle me. Is there any way of having an area on the page which looks at an XML for the information - text in some cases and photographs in another? How to layout the xml.

i have made a site in flash. stage size 955x600 i have exported it as fullscreen with no scale. the problem is that if i browse the site with a resolution of 800x600 (760x420 if i'm not wrong), the browser dont' add scrolls and its impossible to see the complete site. How can i fix this without resizing the site. i want the users to see with the proportions that i have now.. ijust want a scroll on the browser.

I have a client that is wanting me to create a flash website in which they can add products pages (product info, images, etc.) themselves after the website is completed. I will setup up the first few products then they will do the rest. Would I wanted to go with dynamic text and empty movie clips loading the images? If so how could I have this create a duplicate page that refers to the new text and image?

I am relatively new to actionscript and I have run into a problem.Before i state the problem it would be helpful to know that i can only use AS2 and flash7 mode.I have a running swf, which has a button. On that button being clicked I want to let the user upload a file.right now what i do is when the user clicks on the button i call javascript to open a popup window and load the file 'upload.php' in it. this file has the form to select the file to upload. when the user clicks on 'upload' the file 'upoader.php' is opened in the same window that uploads the file to the server.Now my question, how in my movie can I catch the event that that file upload has completed/ failed ??

I recently finally moved across to my Mac for all of my development work. The main problem I have come across is not being able to test any of my work in a SCORM test suite. The one I have on my PC is the ADL test suite which does not appear to be compatible with the mac, so does anyone know of a suite that is?

I am trying to create a web site suing adobe Dreamweaver and flash, for the first time.I am trying to upload a webpage that contains swf.When I check mu site I could only see a blank page with the webpage title at the top of the page.When I contacted the webhosting company they say they can see the message that a newer version of adobe flash player is required. From my computer I cannot even see the message.The helpdesk person said there are possibly two reasons for it. Either there is a problem with the code in flash or it is too large.Are they too large to upload? If so, what is the maximum size of file can I upload on a webpage?I know they are basic questions but I am trying to create website on my own.
