why the movie clips are non animated when I export my flash animation into a video format ?

I have an issue concearning existing file formats for export in Flash CS4. According to the user's manual in Italian I have found, [URL] available formts include EPS and AI. As far as AI is concerned, I have this option but exported AI files are hard to open in Illustrator, since a number of problems appear. If I separate all groups in Flash and then export to AI format, Illustrator finally opens the AI file, but changing the colours and the shape of my design.
Moreover, no dialogue box for Illustrator version options appear when I choose AI for export, as is described in the support page. As to EPS file format, it is not in the export file dialogue box, the formats I have are JPG, PNG, GIF, EMF, WMF, BMP. My point is that I draw in Flash, then I need to export the designs in Illustrator for print optimization, but the content changes dramatically, if I actually can open the files.

I see quality loss both in hardware acceleration and without in all my clips since this upgrade. Before that the movies were fine! Also I have installed a new Nvidia driver, do you think this is a issue?
I think Flash enables hardware acceleration in in-page video movies as well as full-screen mode.
Do I have to redo all my video clips now or am I just confused?

View 2 Repliesi need a good way to export swf to video, prefareable (.flv, .mov) When i use Flash standart export movie method (export to .mov) i get a 450 Mbyte file from my 2,5 Mbyte swf. I need it to be about 10-25 Mbyte.
In my .swf there is allready a .flv with sound and some more timeline animation I added. I allready tried to import the .swf to After Effects and re-export it from there to .flv but importing the .swf results into an empty timeline with 0 frames.
Is it possible to ease video playback, so thats not directly stopped but slowly stops playing.
or image sequence thats also an option
I've read various online docs but am still unclear on exporting to video format in my particular circumstances.
My flash file contains only one frame, with an flv component, a movie clip and as3 code prompting various animations based on the cue points contained in the flv file.
I've tried exporting to .mov using both export options ( "when last frame is reached" and "setting duration of the flv video" ) and in both cases the export is not successful.
My question is: Given my particular setup - is this actually possible ?
I was wondering if someone found out a way to load dynamically video formats other than "FLA" like "AVI", and the same question about audio files like "WMA".I want to support it so users in my site could upload these formats and watch them in the player I made, therefore the solution of putting them first in "swf" won't help.

I have taken some video files from Final Cut Pro converted them to FLV's imported them and embedded them into flash to create some banners for the web. I need to know what settings I should use to get these out of Flash for the web.
Also I need to send them to someone to look at before publishing. What would be the best format to do that in and how to do it.
Also has anyone has any experience creating banners in or online ads in a Video format like FCP and embedding them into a flash file to export them in flash for we publishing. Sorry again for the dumb question, just new to Flash.

View 3 RepliesI know there is a new grounds link about setting your publishing settings to get animated gifs to work with flash. I am using CS4 and when I go to publish the gif works in the html document. But when I export to an animated gif it is still a still picture. I have also tried to export to a quicktime file and it's is a still picture there too and distorted. Should exporting to png or gif sequence work as well?
View 1 RepliesFlash newbie here, using CS5 on a Mac. I've created several Flash animation files, all about 25 seconds long. The animations are fairly simple, about 6 layers each, but all contain a lot of movement. I need to turn the animations into videos that can be played on computers that don't have any Adobe programs, i.e. Quicktime. This is where my issue comes in. The published .swf files work wonderfully, but when I export the files to Quicktime video (.mov) the motion seems to leave a "trail" of images behind it. The static remnants go away after a few seconds but are replaced by new remnants of the current movement. I've played around with the quality and size of the videos, but nothing seems to have helped. I've tried used Xilisoft video converter to convert the .swf files into .avi or .mp4, but the files couldn't be uploaded. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what steps I could take to export my .fla or .swf files into high-quality video files?
View 3 RepliesI imported an avi video to flash, converted it to flv with Adobe media encoder, and did some symbol animation on top of it.How do I export an avi video so that the video I imported is actually playing, and not just to see the skin and flv icon? When I test the video it makes it in swf form and I'd rather not convert it any further and mess up it's quality.Is it possible to view the video in work space while animating symbols over it (I kinda did it by heart)?

I'm creating a movie player on a website of mine.. similar to YouTube. I would like people to be able to upload their movies on to my site. So my question(s) are regarding the FLV Format and if you can play other formats some how like Movs, Avis, Wmvs and Mpegs?
(1) Flash can only play FLV files? Can you get it to play Movs, Avis, Mpegs... Can I some how put in codecs for them?
(2) Can people easily get their movies to FLV format? Is this an issue for people?
I don't want to make it complicated for them to put things on my site. I would like them to be able to upload movies with ease and obviously not make things too complicated for them. I want to make it as user friendly as possible.

View 2 RepliesI'm having trouble exporting my flash movie to quicktime. I receive the error: The installed version of Quicktime does not support this type of Macromedia Flash movie. Quicktime requires Macromedia Flash version 5 or before. Please select "Version: Flash player 5" in the Flash tab of the Publish Settings dialog. I've tried changing the settings to every Flash versions 1 - 5, none of which seems to resolve the problem. I continue to get the same error message when I try to publish. I'm using Flash 8 and Quicktime version 7.7.5.
View 10 RepliesI'm trying to export a fla file to a mov file in Flash CS4. My fla file is 152 mb. It is a 5 minute presentation I created with a 39 second f4v file (video clip) in the file. I go to Export / Export Movie. I select Quicktime (mov). I keep the default settings and it starts to cycle through. It gets about half way and I get a message "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory" I'm running this on a Mac Pro, System 10.5.8. I have 4 GB of memory. My HD is 232 GB with 155 GB available.
View 7 RepliesEvery method I have tried so far to export my flash file as a workable AVI or MOV is by creating the entire animation on the main timeline.This means every animation, every tiny bit is edited and altered on the Parent time line, and looping animations will have to be painstakingly copied and pasted for the duration of the loop.Surely there must be a way to save the movie to include all the sub timelines? I think to the very simplethat video is everywhere - even on youtube! you can't say that has been copied and pasted for each loop?

I have created an animation in Flash which is 2mins long at 25fps, so 3000 in frame length. However when I export it as either a swf or a mov it plays for 6mins! The frame rate is definetely 25fps in Quicktime export settings also but still it doesn't play for the correct duration? The Quicktime movie says 6mins also desptire the fps matching.
The movie is a standard timeline animation?
I am new to Flash so this may be a basic question, but I have not been able to find anything in the help files or the forums. I have tried several times to change the size of my quicktime movies, from 550 pixels by 400 pixels to 480 pixels by 480 pixels, and I cannot seem to do it. I have used "Modify > Document" and tried every option I could find through this command. Each time I export I double check that the export settings match my desired size, and they do, but when I open the movie in quicktime, it has been stretched to fit 550 x 400 pixels. The preview movie looks exactl how I want, it is only the exported movie that is incorrect. Is it possible to make a quicktime movie of the size I would like, or is that a standard format that cannot be adjusted?
As a workaround, I have tried squeezing my 480x480 content into the 550x400 stage (while scaling it prportionally). but when I do this, the square of content is not centered in the background in quicktime. It is off center in the preview movie as well, and this commonly occurs after I have used "modify > document" to change the size of the document. The side to which it is aligned seems to be inconsistent. Is there a way to realign the video after I have modified the document size? Does changing the document size through "modify > document" affect the centering and alignment of my video? Is there a way to change it back?

As most of you don't know, I've been creating an rpg game. And, after several tries of art making, etc, I have finally moved back into coding the game. And now, I'm stuck on the equipment system idea. At first, I thought I would just place a bunch of goToAndStop's for each movie clip to go to a frame that has that certain armor piece. This was my first idea for an equipment system. However, after doing some research, and realizing how much lines of code could be saved, I started looking into simply adding and removing movie clips from the character as my new equipment system idea. Now.... on to the problem.
Basic want/ overall achievement wanted: Create an equipment system, which will basically attach movie clips (items) onto characters, which themselves will already be attached movie clips on the stage.
Problem: What is the exact code to do this? And Is there a better way to do this for an equipment system (a less laggy or more efficient way perhaps that I'm not seeing; Check the code below to get a better idea of what I'm talking about)?

I have multiple movie clips on stage (all in separate layers, of course) as well as buttons on stage to play each movie clip. There are buttons inside each movie clip. The problem is that the buttons inside the top layered movie clip work, but the others in the movie clips below don't.

I have a photo gallery slider type of thingy that loads jpegs with loadMovie into containers. I can mask the entire movie clip but as for the containers,...well I just dont know whats going on here.
After the dublication of an movie clip,
1. I would like to be able to delete one by one the new movie clips
2. I would like to move them all together.... First you press the word green and then click in the blue area.... A green cyrcle will appear.. Click the word green again and then in the blue square and a new green cyrcle will appear. I would like to move the cyrcles with the buttons arrownd the blue square... And when I press delete I would like to delete any cycle I choose... The flash is too large to attach it to the forum, if anyone is interested I can send it by mail.
