Flash :: Professional - Exporting Animation Into A Universal Video Format?
Oct 12, 2010
Flash newbie here, using CS5 on a Mac. I've created several Flash animation files, all about 25 seconds long. The animations are fairly simple, about 6 layers each, but all contain a lot of movement. I need to turn the animations into videos that can be played on computers that don't have any Adobe programs, i.e. Quicktime. This is where my issue comes in. The published .swf files work wonderfully, but when I export the files to Quicktime video (.mov) the motion seems to leave a "trail" of images behind it. The static remnants go away after a few seconds but are replaced by new remnants of the current movement. I've played around with the quality and size of the videos, but nothing seems to have helped. I've tried used Xilisoft video converter to convert the .swf files into .avi or .mp4, but the files couldn't be uploaded. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what steps I could take to export my .fla or .swf files into high-quality video files?
I've read various online docs but am still unclear on exporting to video format in my particular circumstances.
My flash file contains only one frame, with an flv component, a movie clip and as3 code prompting various animations based on the cue points contained in the flv file.
I've tried exporting to .mov using both export options ( "when last frame is reached" and "setting duration of the flv video" ) and in both cases the export is not successful.
My question is: Given my particular setup - is this actually possible ?
I know there is a new grounds link about setting your publishing settings to get animated gifs to work with flash. I am using CS4 and when I go to publish the gif works in the html document. But when I export to an animated gif it is still a still picture. I have also tried to export to a quicktime file and it's is a still picture there too and distorted. Should exporting to png or gif sequence work as well?
I imported an avi video to flash, converted it to flv with Adobe media encoder, and did some symbol animation on top of it.How do I export an avi video so that the video I imported is actually playing, and not just to see the skin and flv icon? When I test the video it makes it in swf form and I'd rather not convert it any further and mess up it's quality. Is it possible to view the video in work space while animating symbols over it (I kinda did it by heart)?
Anyway, I have an animation I made in flash, and when I go to File>Export>Export Image, it doesn't export with the text. Also, depending on the image type I'm trying to save as, it will randomly save an image of different point in the animation than that which I have the playhead on.
I have created a character for animation in illustrator and saved each symbol nessesary as a movie clip. After finally coming up with a decent animation everything seemed fine and exporting as a .swf looked great. When trying to export as a .gif however I get a singal non animated image. I've been looking for a simple answer to this problem such as Radtool converting a .swf or.avi to a gif and it give me a file not found error. I've attempted turning all of my symbols into graphics and I get a single image when I try to view it in flash (ctrl + enter). I've tried saving it as a bitmap and batching in photoshop with more error. I've tried going into flashes publish setting and saving an animated gif. Every export format I choose seems to give me a single non animated image except for .swf.
I am trying to export a .swf file which plays video/sound so I can upload the file to a website (embedded). However, the sound does not want to play when in flash. It is basically of a person talking and lasts about 20 seconds. I have exported the file as a .mov using flash mx pro on mac. the .mov file plays in a quicktime but when imported into flash the sounds seems to disappear.
I've got an application (video player) that has many different interactive pieces spread throughout a handful of different classes throughout the display tree hierarchy (all children/grandchildren/great-grandchildren/etc of the same View class). I'm trying to add a universal tooltip to use throughout [URL]. Basically, the primary problems I want to solve are: -Ideally called from or channels through a single place (for ease of updating etc).Must show above all other display objects (for instance, a tooltip that shows for a player controls button shouldn't be obscured by a menu display object that might be above it). -Add the object once in a container/holder that's added above all the other View objects.Dispatch a custom event for every ROLL_OVER and ROLL_OUT event that needs to show/hide the tool tip.In my main (logic) class, listen for the event, and then call the method in the view class that shows/hides the tooltip.
As in subj. Is it possible to make a video player which will run on FP9 and when FP10 is detected use some of its features as Stage video API or pixel bender shaders?.I've tried to access FP10 classes via getDefinitionByName but it doesn't work
I need to export a flash animation that I have produced as an email banner and send the file to a client who will add it to their emails for advertising. I have tried exporting it as an animated gif and the quality looks terrible!I know that gif only supports 256 colours but am trying to give the client something user friendly that they can just attach to the bottom of their email. I think there is programs that you can use to export it at a higher quality?
I want to import a video for optional playback into a flash animation. Now, the animation is a loop and replays after 120 frames or so. I noticed when I exported my moviemaker video and imported it into flash, it automatically asked me if i wanted it to arrange it to fit or not. the thing is, i don't want the video to automatically play like flash does for default. What i want is to be able to have it look like how a video looks in youtube 'before' you play it..you know how it has that 'arrow' sitting on it with a black screen showing
you that it's ready to be played if you want it to? well, that's what i want. so, if someone stumbles upon my animation loop on the web, they will see a little video in the upper corner that has the ability to play but it doesn't start
playing right when they get to the page. Also, when they play the video, the length is obviously longer than the loop of my animation, but I obviously don't want it cutting off when my loops ends and restarts, so is there a way to code where it will keep playing on it's own timeline apart from what the flash animation loop is doing? (it should be able to play all the way through, end, and be able to be played again no matter how many loops the animation goes through)second thing i want, is the video to be small..like maybe 220 X 180 in size.
when i exported in Moviemaker, I actually got a video size that I liked but the quality looked poor and sounded poor (I went with the Pocket PC export 148kbps or something like that). Now, was the quality poor just because Flash had to cut it off because of the animation loop restarting or is it going to be poor just cuz PocketPC export is a bad choice? In other words, what export choice should I go with in Moviemaker to get the desired results i want (with the desired width + height I want as well)?
Do you have to code to make it be a video that's got the arrow/blk bkgrd i.e. not playable til a user clicks...or do you just have to export it a certain way in Moviemaker to make it's format that way?
how to publish live video feed from webcam in h.264 format non VP6 format with FMS 3.5.2 without using Flash Media Live Encoder, and how to set all parametersto have a good quality and smooth video without interruption, i have a server with 50Mbit bandwidth output enough for a publisher and 10 clients meunderstand this thing's been months since I try but the quality ugly
We're working on a project right now where our animator is creating animations in Flash (the tool in which he's most comfortable) which we need to export for our application. He's using separate sprites (for a person, we'd use eyes, mouth, hair, feet, etc.) and transforming them appropriately. So, if his head is rocking back and forth, one frame might be normal, one might be rotated 20°, another normal, and another -20°, and so on.
What we need is to export all of the sprites used in the animation, along with the transform data for each object in each frame. Unfortunately, the animation is being done in Actionscript, which complicates things somewhat, and because we're using sprite components that we use in multiple places, we want each component of the animation exported separately. As long as we can get it into some kind of more easily parse-able format, we should be fine, but we're not familiar enough with Flash, in a technical sense, to know where to start looking. Solutions in Python would be preferred, since that's the language we're all working in.
i need a good way to export swf to video, prefareable (.flv, .mov) When i use Flash standart export movie method (export to .mov) i get a 450 Mbyte file from my 2,5 Mbyte swf. I need it to be about 10-25 Mbyte.
In my .swf there is allready a .flv with sound and some more timeline animation I added. I allready tried to import the .swf to After Effects and re-export it from there to .flv but importing the .swf results into an empty timeline with 0 frames.
I am new to Flash and this may sound, well dumb but here it goes. I have taken some video files from Final Cut Pro converted them to FLV's imported them and embedded them into flash to create some banners for the web. I need to know what settings I should use to get these out of Flash for the web.
Also I need to send them to someone to look at before publishing. What would be the best format to do that in and how to do it.
Also has anyone has any experience creating banners in or online ads in a Video format like FCP and embedding them into a flash file to export them in flash for we publishing. Sorry again for the dumb question, just new to Flash.
Is there any library in Action Script that be able to convert any video format to .FLV?
I've been looking for it with no success. I thought that as3 had functions for that purposes but not found.
I want to give the possibility that in my site, users can upload any video, so I need to convert it to a standard and compress it to a fixed resolution.
I am working on some text animations using ActionScript (3.0).The type of animations that I want require tweening each character of the text. Therefore, the way I want to do this is to break apart the text string, create a text field for each character, put it into a sprite, position the sprite so that the characters form a linear text and then tween the individual character sprites. But the problem is if I have an HTML string of text. If I try to break apart the string, then the HTML tags will break and they will be animated as if part of the text? Is there another way of achieving this type of character by character animation? Is there a way in which the HTML formatted text can be kept ?
I've searcehd but haven't found anything similar. I am trying to add animation to an educational video that I produced. I am new to Flash but already love it - have used for several presentations at work with my higher students and it's been really, really effective so far.
I have done two things: Imported an .flv of the video that I am trying to add animation to but only see the first and last shots in my timeline. How can I add text and tweens throughout the movie using flash? Or can't I?
I am having a problem with a project for school. In a video I am making, I need to add animation over a live video. For example, in one scene, I have videotaped myself running. Now, I want to add the picture of a ghost chasing me. Both layers are moving. My question is, can I do this easily in flash? I have not used Flash before and if it is complicated, I would rather not to try. I've talked to some friends who have used Flash before and some say it is the perfect program for my need while others claim it would either not be able to do it, or be really hard to.
Is Flash suitable to my needs? If not, is there another program that is?
I created an animation using movieclips within one movieclip. When I export it as an .mov file, it's only the one frame (the stage which my movieclip is thrown on). I understand now why that is, but I'm close to deadline and can't go around changing things. So to my understanding, when you import a Video to the library, it has to be an .mov file. Then I can convert it to a FLV file, which is an option Flash gives in the dropdown menu. That's the background. Here is my ultimate question: I want to create a FLV file from my SWF or the FLA file. How do I do it?
Would it be possible to have a video (MP4, FLV, F4V, or some other popular format) contain a table of contents that the user can click to seek to different sections of the movie?
I am doing a little project for a lady's website free of charge. She owns a non-profit business. She wants to organize some of her videos. I am not even sure what format the videos are in right now. I have been doing a little research and it looks like I want the .flv format. How can we get them into this format? I want to use thumbnails with a little description of the video, people would click on the jpeg (or whatever) thumbnail to see the video.
Is it possible to make a animation using video clips? What I want to do is have the same clip playing side by side in a loop at different speeds - I would like the animation to play without it having to be clicked on too.
Is there a way to export it as AVI or any file type that support HD and get the same out put in SWF, i tried to export but the final output is very weak
I'm trying to export a fla file to a mov file in Flash CS4. My fla file is 152 mb. It is a 5 minute presentation I created with a 39 second f4v file (video clip) in the file. I go to Export / Export Movie. I select Quicktime (mov). I keep the default settings and it starts to cycle through. It gets about half way and I get a message "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory" I'm running this on a Mac Pro, System 10.5.8. I have 4 GB of memory. My HD is 232 GB with 155 GB available.
I have been useing fonts like A.C.M.E secret agent, Crashlanding, Feast of flesh, mouth breather and so on.When i export the project all the text becomes Times new roman on other computers but mine. Or let me re phrase that to make sure there is no confusion. When the project is viewed on my computer the font looks fine but when viewed on any other computer the font is Times new roman and the sizes are completely messed up.
I upgraded from Flash CS3 to CS5. I am surprised to find I cannot export Flash graphics to a ".ai" format. Does anyone know of a way in CS5 to get Flash vectors to Illustrator?
