I have an AIR project that I was working on Flash Builder 4.5 which now I'm trying to import to my updated Flash Builder 4.5.1 and it is prompting me to fix some paths before the import is completed. I'm kinda clueless what I should put in those fields.

The project access a web server to retrieve data using JSON.
I am trying to migrate a project from Flash Builder 4.0 to Flash Builder 4.5. After Flash Builder prompts me to choose my new SDK, I choose 4.5, Then I get the following error:" error "The required skin state 'disabledWithPrompt' is missing".
I just upgraded to Flash Builder 4 (beta 2) from Flex Builder 3 which I have been using since it came out. Problem: All the projects that were in my workspace from Flex Builder 3 did not carry over into Flash Builder 4 (e.g. in the "Flex Navigator" view if FB3). Flash Builder 4 now uses the .FXP format to manage projects, but Flex Builder 3 did not. Is there an easy way to get all my projects back into Flash Builder 4?
I was wondering if there is a way to import a Flash project into another flash project, i have something that can only be done so far in AS2 and my main project is using AS3
When i change the code into my Flash Builder 4.5 project and hit run the output doesn't show the new result but the old one, only after a while the new result is showed on subsequent project runnings. Has anybody encounter this problem? Are there some hidden settings?
First of all, I got to say that I'm new to Flash and AS3 and that my english is far from perfection, so just tell me if I'm saying anything you can't understand.
I received the source code of a website which is fully in flash. The code is sperated in two parts, one is containing the application specific code and the other one is containing the AS3 library.I'm kind of lost when I'm trying to run it in Flash. What is the right way to import a full action script project in Flash? Where should I put the library?
I'm building a Flex App for a Media Development course and one of our requirements for this sprint is to implement a simple P2P chat into the interface. I created one from a tutorial that served my needs and altered it appropriately, but it exists as a separate Flex Project and not within the Main App.
I know I can export the Chat as an fxp project file, but I'm not sure how I can use it in my main app. I was trying to create a Custom Component, but the process isn't very clear and Adobe's help files on the subject didn't seem to relate to what I specifically wanted to do. I get the feeling that there's a very simple fix for my goal, but hopefully someone would able to point me in the right direction as I've been working on this app for a good 6 hours and need a break.
I just upgraded from Flash Builder 4 to 4.5 and have imported one of my FB 4 projects.I am now seeing an orange question mark in the gutter next to all of my import statements that are importing local classes (as well as everywhere the said class methods are used) and an orange underline appears under the import statement. When I hover over the underline it says that the import could not be found.
The project compiles and runs without a problem (I use ANT to build this project). If I open one of the class files in question then change something (i.e press space bar) and hit save (EDIT: actually found I don't have to even save, just opening causes FB to find it) then go back to the file importing it the orange question mark is gone for that import, I get the code assist and CTL+Click links me to the class file. However, if I close that file and reopen it again cannot find the class file. The classes in question are stored under my project's src dir as:
- src +---com +---myappname[code]........
Is this a FB 4.5 "enhancement"? I've tried deleting and re-importing the project, refreshing the project and am now kind of at a loss of what to do. It's annoying enough that I may need to downgrade to 4.
I'd like to write a program using the facebook-actionscript-api. The google code's website of facebook api shows that it provides .swc files for flex 3.4 or the sources.
how can I add them to my Flash Builder project ? Do I need to compile the sources ?
I'm working on Flash Builder 4 and want to export a flex project so my colleague, with Flex 3, can open it. Unfortunately, exporting a .fxp file doesn't work with Flex 3. Is there any other way to do it?
I'm running Flash Builder 4 that came with my Adobe Master Suite CS5 group of software. I'm trying to implement a flip animation that uses the following packages:
but I'm getting compiler errors for each of those lines:
1172: Definition fl.transitions:Tween could not be found. 1172: Definition fl.transitions:TweenEvent could not be found. 1172: Definition fl.transitions.eashing:Strong could not be found.
I found some references other people discussed regarding CS3, but I'm on cs5 (and this machine never had cs3 installed, I started with cs4 and upgraded to cs5).
Do I need to explicitely tell Flash Builder where to find these packages? Are they not standard to the Flash Builder 4.0 Standard build?
I just installed the trial version of 4.5 of flash builder, migrating from 4.0 and I am encountering quite a frustrating problem. For some reason in which I can not peg, FB refuses to compile anything with an import from an external class, like greensock, bulk loader etc. I keep getting a 1172: Definition could not be found for any import from my external class AS3 folder on my harddrive.
Now I did edit my build path in the project and include the AS3 folder there as I usually do in past FB projects. Even code hinting works when typing in the import lines and even making new objects from those imports. But every time I save or try to compile, such errors appear on each one consistently. This is coming from a fresh install of 4.5 btw on any Flash Professional project and I would like to use it but I can't seem to get around such a fundamental problem.
I have the source folder from a friend's Android app and I am going to do all of the design for the app. If I could import the folder that he gave me from Eclipse, it would be easier to create a nice UI for the app.
Is this possible? If not, can I load the XML files into Flash Builder to make the UI? EDIT: To clarify, I have a project file that I can open in Eclipse. I want to edit the appearance of the project using Flash Builder without interfering with the application's functionality.
Is there a way that I can load (or export) Flex/Flash builder project in Flash Professional CS5?As it turns out we got Flash Prof for our team, but it may look like we actually need Flash builder to build lots of UI related stuff..
I am debugging both a flash cs4 project and a flash builder project, actually the flash builder project will load the flash cs4 project thru swfloader, but the system can only support one debugger at a time. So I am seeking a method to debug it simultaneously...
I will not be hosting the .swf file and I would like to include images using Flash Builder 4. The images appear in a folder in the exported version and I'm not sure how to "embed" them into the .swf (so that I can deploy the file to sites like Kongregate, etc.)
Seems like it should be simple, but my Google fu is currently poor.
Edit: Note, I would like to continue using the Flex framework, which is what I am using now.
I am developing a project with Flex, and I need to deploy my project in a form which can be used by developers who do not have access to Flash Builder. I've found references to plugins from Faratasystems, but it appears their sourceforge site is a little bit rusty. I could not find an up to date installation file that'd include FX2Ant plugin and work with my Flash Builder 4
I have a file that I've been working on, and i want to take what I have and modify it heavily, but I want to keep the original; if there was a 'duplicate' project command I would do that, but I don't see one, and wondered if there might be a way to keep it all in the same project for tidiness purposes. I'd just copy paste the directory myself but just want to make sure I'm not missing some functionality.
I was just putting the finishing touches on a flex project that loads files from a second project.
In attempting to delete a second project, I somehow deleted the project I needed. I confirmed that I wanted to delete the files. I have a backup but it is a couple weeks old now. I feel like throwing up.
1) Is there a way to add swc files after the project is created
2) And is there a way to link some of assets in those swc to classes (for example link a ball asset to a class the implements its functionality. You can do that directly from flash pro CS5.5, but is there a way to do it in flash builder)
Im trying to import an external SWF onto the stage of a new Flash project. I found the following AS2 code and created an ActionScript layer and placed it into the first frame. However, when I press the Play button, nothing happens and no movieclip is placed into the library.
I need to set the size of SWF up to 800x600. But i don't know where can i change this property. There was an idea to change stage width and heigth, but nothing happened=(
