I have found in my experience with Flash CS4 and using a Wacom tablet or Cintiq that the brush sensitivity is unstable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. As long as I open Flash and do not change the brush size, then the sensitivity stays just fine. If I change the brush size then sensitivity disappears and all I can draw is solid lines of a single width.
I contacted Wacom and was on the phone for two hours. After trying every possible fix, we decided it was a Flash error, since Photoshop works. Other machines were tested, other tablets were swapped in and out, new pens were tried, they all had the same problem.
I contacted Adobe and this was their response: "As I understand that you want to use Flash on Wacom and brushes lack pensensitivity . I understand this issue & i found that brushes lackpen sensitivity because it is not compatible with wacom tablet."
This is news to me that Adobe decided to not support Wacom tablets with Flash. Is this for real? I responded saying that the response sounded wrong.

I'm having problems with flash debugging on Mac OS. It crashed at various points regardless if I'm using the projector debugger or browser plugin (regardless of browser).
The only common denominator I see is that a method seemingly in the debugging code is causing a security sandbox violation with localhost, and then everything crashes.
P.S. Tried both 9 and 10 debuggers
I have a problem with a flash image gallery that I created and have now posted to my website.
When the flash movie is viewed on it's own you can click the main images and you are taken to a product page. However when the flash movie is integrated into the website, the links are random at best and for the most part dont work.

I thought that the scrolling marquee to the left of the page might be causing a problem but the problem doesn't go away when I remove this.
I m using flex. In my program on certain condition a pop up should come. In that pop up i edit some fields.On Pop up there are 2 buttons, Ok and Cancel. If Ok is pressed then the normal flow of the program should continue, else the further code should not be executed.
View 1 RepliesI've been experimenting with shape tweens using the line tool to make stick figures, and using shape tweens to make the figures move around. It's great fun, but I've been running into a particularly disruptive problem. For example, I'll have a stick figure in one spot at frame 1. I move it across the screen using a shape tween, and bend one of his arms over the course of 10 or so frames. The problem is, Flash seems to be misinterpreting what ought to happen during the tween. Instead of just bending the arm, Flash makes the arm rotate in a full circle. It still ends up where it ought to at Frame 10, but it takes the wrong path to get there. I've attached a video to illustrate what I mean. Look at the upper body piece right at the end. Is there any way I can fix this without having to animate frame by frame?[code]...

View 0 RepliesWhen I try to use the deco brush in CS5 some of the properties are not there to tweak. For instance when I try to flower brush it creates flowers but the advanced options are not changable. The categories such as Flower color, Flower size, Leaf color Leaf size and Fruit color are there but there are no options to change any of these. The same issue happens with the lightning brush, the Tree brush, the smoke brush, the decorated brush, the fire brush and just about any brush except for the grid brush which has options to use a symbol. Is there something I am doing wrong? Is there a way to get the settings to be invoked? Is it just broken?

If I make a dot with the brush tool on the first frame and a circle on the 15th frame and then create shape tween between those frames it looks stupid, like the circle grows itself. View 3 RepliesI have a HP tx2500 tablet pc. I put the beta of windows 7 on it several months ago and had no trouble (64 bit). The service period expired, so I wiped it and put the windows 7 RC on it (also 64 bit). This has caused me problems with photoshop and flash (both cs3) as they will not recognize touch sensitive input! (aka when i press hard the line gets darker). In photoshop the option is set but nothing happens, in flash the button for touch sensitive input has simply disappeared, there is just grey where it used to be. I updated windows all the way and updated my flash and photoshop as well.

View 2 RepliesI am making a draw toy, and it is mostly all worked out. I am just adding finishing touches... like a brush that takes the place of the mouse. My problem is that when drawing as the screen starts to get filled up the brush will be under the drawing pen lines.
Is there a way to make that one mc named "brush" always be on top of everything else. If i cant figure this out, i will just not do the whole hide mouse and attach clip, because naturally the mouse will go on top so i could just keep it plain

View 4 RepliesI have an issue with my Cintiq not drawing smoothly in Flash. I need to sketch incredibly fast and loose. Flash used to work just fine but now it suddenly began drawing really crummy. I posted some examples of flash as well as Photoshop, Sketchbook Pro, and ToonBoom Animate Pro which is another vector graphics tool. I thought the vector graphics may be the issue but that app seems to handle the drawing excellently (now if only it did the other things Flash can do). Here's some examples of how they're looking. The idea I had was to create a brush movie clip, and as the mouse moves duplicate it and place it at the mouse location. However, the problem arises that I often get large gaps in between movie clips if I move the mouse fast enough (which is more like normal speed for me).

1. How can I change the size of the brush tool? It's all greyed out on every project I start, stuck at the very smallest size (0.10). I'm trying to trace over a photo at the moment, and it's taking FOREVER with the tiny little brush. It only un-greys itself after I draw a line, but I can only change the size of the line I've just drawn. As soon as I go to draw a new line, it goes straight back to size 0.10.I'd use the pencil tool, because I can change that, but...
2. How do you make the eyedropper tool put your chosen colour into the pencil colour box as opposed to the brush box? Every time I use it, it forces me to use the brush. Which, because of the above problem, is ridiculously inconvenient to draw with in just about every situation.
bit of a noob at flash, so I've been having a bit of a difficulty in using the pencil/brush tool in drawing an animation. I set a keyframe, and paint a yellow stroke. Then i continue onto the next key. I then go back to the first keyframe, and want to paint a black stroke over part of the yellow stroke i made earlier.
after selecting this first frame (making the layer active), I go to change the stroke color of the brush to black but find that it now changes my yellow stroke (which I want to keep yellow) to black. I see that in selecting the frame, by default whatever strokes were made on this frame are also selected (which I don't want). So I'd like to know how do I avoid altering my previous stroke and still put a different colored stroke overlapping it on the same frame?
also is it possible to append a brush/pencil stroke to an old brush/pencil stroke?
I'm doing some masking with the brush tool. Each keyframe I'm drawing a bit more of the mask. My problem is if I go back to the first keyframe and paint something it doesn't appear on the other keyframes.I thought I found the solution with Edit Multiple Frames, but it doesn't seem to work with the brush tool.
