Flash :: Action Created In (.fla) The Same When Published In .swf Or .html?
Oct 12, 2009
I created a complex fixed line and a bird flying on the line using tweens from point A to B to C. When I view the birdline in play or by scrubbing across them in the layers mode, the bird follows the line just as designed. When I test the birdline in "test Scene" or "test movie" one bird flies from point A to C, then another bird appears at point B and flies the course to point C. The published .swf and .html do the same as the test functions. What can I do to get the published version to behave the same as the design?
I have learned how to listen and handle SWFAddress events in this video tutorial by Lee Brimelow:[URL]The html file he learns how to write doesn't display my Flash site as I wanted to be displayed. In IE the swf is a little square, in Firefox it doesn't display anything, etc.I have posted below the HTML that Flash CS4 has published for me. I have added the lines to include the swfobject and swfaddress javascript files. The address does change when I click something but the back and forward buttons (browser buttons) don't change the pages inside the swf movie.Lee Brimelow's HTML file (with my changes in the name of the swf):
HTML Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
My flash design crashes! I published everytime I finished few steps. First few publications in html/ swf were okay, but after a few new steps the things all went wrong: the button went missing, the whole did not stop at frame1 as in my action script, some of the images went missing. I then deleted new steps hoping to get the thing back to normal, but it remained. After every futile effort I did (restarted pc, republished, saved as...), I suspected that there are BUGS whether in flash or in my pc, I did an experiment by simply creating a new layer and inserting an image in the layer, I published, and this time all the images has gone!
Any thoughts as to why this works correctly in CS5 publish preview but when I publish it I either get no action or (XP comupter) or a blank page (vista) Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated. Also, I'm new to flash and here's the button action:
on (release) { //create the LoadVars that will hold our paypal information var paypal = new LoadVars();
I created a flash file that contains a flv file inside. After I published it on my Mac in both html and swf format and it played well. But when I copied all this folder include the swf, html and the source flv to test on a pc it played well but the video part (flv) was blank. So I copied the .fla file to pc and published again, then it works fine (including the flv video part) on both pc and Mac. All the settings were same while publishing.So I wonder what's wrong with publish from Mac side? I work with Mac and so it's very inconvenient to publish my work on PC.
ive publish a html file with flash detection enabled from flash.[code]now since the default codes places my flash movie on upper left corner, ive made my own tables with the flash on it, how or where do i place this code to the upper codes?[code]
-1 large html (home.html) file houses 2 html files (aaa.html and bbb.html) -aaa.html consists of 1 swf button -bbb.html is empty
question: is it possible to click on the button in aaa.html and have the action occur in bbb.html? (for example, clicking the button in aaa.html will load a swf in bbb.html)
I just published a short movie from Flash CS4 and placed the entire set of files at this URL[URL] and when my web designer or me for that matter double clicks on the HTML file the movie doesn't play. We get a black screen and at the bottom of the frame in the progress bar there's a little green & white zebra like moving line. I'm pretty sure this is how I've delivered movies from CS3. I'm obviously missing something obvious here, but I haven't a clue. If I double click on the HTML file on my machine that has Flash installed it works great. The .FLV file plays correctly in media player also.
I made a flash mp3 player and it works fine in any other test pages. but when i embed it onto my site it just shows blank. what do i do? my site is [URL] and the flash player i tested here [URL] and it plays. What im i doing wrong? i tryed everything. right now i just got it in a iframe but i dont want that iframe.
This is not actually an AS3 question, but as many users has done it before, I have discussed it here and I hope that I can receive a good solution. I have made a webpage with Flash AS3 and published it in HTML. What can I do to fit it on any screen with any resolution? My page is 800x600 and I would like to have it fit to screen in both dimensions (x and y) or in one dimention on any screen. I prefer not to stretch it on screen.By stretching, the images will be deformed and I don't want it.
when iam trying to publish an flash project containing a dynamic xml menu as html file ,the menu is not showing although it is showing in the accompannying swf file,any body knows the problem??
I am using actionscript 3.0. My externally loaded swf are not showing after I published HTML or if I try to view my final swf by clicking on it in my project folder. I am not sure what to do because everything is working fine when I have my .fla open and press ctrl enter to view my work.
var defaultSWF:URLRequest = new URLRequest("myswf.swf");var loader:Loader = new Loader(); loader.load(defaultSWF); loader.x=Xpos;loader.y=Ypos;addChild(loader); // Btns functionfunction btnClick(event:MouseEvent):void { [Code] .....
I have made an animation, when i veiwed it as a preveiw in flash CS4 it works fine.So I published it as both a HTML fie and SWF.The HTML file runs perfectly fine, but the SWF file is missing almost all of the illustrations and the play button at the begining, the sounds all work fine however.
Can't figure it out. I've got a video file to stream from my published Flash file. Works great at home.All the files are in a single folder. I transfer the folder to a jump drive to bring it to school and when I load it up on the website I get this green/black filer on the play skin andthe video won't play. I double check to see if I can play it on my school machinestraight off the jump drive and it doesn't work either (it did on my home machine).
I am running Windows 7/64 and Master Collection. I've created a clip of DV NTSC footage to test F4V publishing. Done this many times with CS3 and flv files but this has me stumped. I can successfully view the video and web page locally in IE and Netscape but on upload to my server I have the menu and placement right but no video appears. I created the clip in Premiere Pro CS5 and exported to F4V/FLV best quality. Opened an Actionscript Media DV NTSC template in Flash Pro CS5 and imported the video which I had pre-placed in my root web folder locally. I then exported the swf and saved the fla. All files were then in my root folder and the scrpts in the scripts folder. In Live View in Dreamweaver CS5 all looked fine. In each browser locally the video played as expected. Once all files were uploaded the video was not visible.
I need to edit the url link to one of the .fla that was created by another person.I know normally you would just go to action, and then there would be action script like getURL (" "). However, in this case, I looked through the everything in the action script panel, still couldn't find the url actionscript. i know it's there because when i exported the flash to swf, the url is working.
So I published my Flash Movie using the HTML settings of Match Movie Size, rather than Fit To Screen (fit to percent, I believe it is) under the publish settings options. This way it works great, but there is no scrollbar on the browser. So my stage size is pretty big, lets pretend its 1200x1200 lol. So, now I want every monitor in the world to be able to see the entire page. I do not want it to fit to their screen, but I want them to be able to scroll down using their browsers scrollbar rather than a scrollbar within the SWF itself.
So imagine you are on a 15 inch monitor, and you are browsing my 1200x1200 HTML page, calling the SWF. You need to be able to scroll down to see the bottom, and scroll right to see the right side. Why is the browser scrollbar not appearing? Is there anything I must do?
why the buttons in the flash banner I created in Flash CS4 work when I preview it in either Flash or HTML in the Flash CS4 program, but when I go to load it into a html document in Dreamweaver CS4 and preview it in a firefox or IE browser, the banner comes up fine, but the buttons this time will not work. The buttons are displayed with there animation and sound, but the links will not work. I have tried scripts in AS2 and AS3.
I want to specify a string value in the HTML containing my Flash created using Flex 3. This value is a URL that is used by the Flex code and I want another dev to be able to update it. How do I do this? I'm using Flex Builder 3.
everyone out there that is smarter than me. I have made this little prototype video player, and it isn't working. It'll eventually become a nice little player show videos from our summer camp for the last few years, but first I want to make it work in a basic stripped down version. There is a playback component with one of the skins right above the three buttons.
Here's the ActionScript: btn1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, vid1);btn2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, vid2);btn3.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, vid3);
function vid1(e:Event):void{vidPlayer.source = "Video1.flv"};function vid2(e:Event):void{vidPlayer.source = "Video2.flv"}; function vid3(e:Event):void{vidPlayer.source = "Video3.flv"};
It runs fine when I test in in flash and even the .swf file runs fine alone, but when I put it in a .html file via Dreamweaver and in the published .html it doesn't run. What up?
I was reading about Flex- JavaScript communication via ExternalInterface.But I had a doubt, it said that the javascript code should be written in the HTML file of the application ? Now which is this HTML file ? Is it the index.template.html file per project or the HTML file created per MXML application ?
I was analyzing the files of a image gallery that I`m working on and I noticed that it evolve three files: one xml, one php and one flash. According what I saw there is no need to change the php file (its only say how to organize de file code gallery.xml). I need to change the actionscript code in flash file.
The image gallery is designed to open a lightbox like window inside the flash when is clicked to see the larger size of the image. I need that, when the file extension is not an image (or it is a .html extension file) the link just opens a target _blank window or even a pop-up window with width and height defined that itis a html.
I believe that the better way to solve this is saying in actionscript language in the flash file that, if the src= of the image is a file with .html extension, it besides open that like lightbox image inside the flash, simlpy open that link in a news window or pop-up. It is possible to do this in actionscript?
I need to have a frame action launch a .html file (call it "time-crunched.html"), and then the flash window should close. That's it. It seems like it should be easy (and it WAS easy in previous versions).
I have already tried using the gotourl feature from AS2, but I keep being told that the functionality has been disabled in the current version.
I am on Windows XP, but I need the Windows projector file to work on XP, Vista, and 7, and the Mac projector file to work on 10.0 forward.
I was new to Adobe flash, and I am design a webpage which provide a flash game. Then when user play the game it wil have highscore, so I wanna ask how I can pass the value of score and show at my website?getURL("includes/theme/submit.php?game=" + myid + "&score=" + varScore + "&theme=" + themeid);
1) Is it better to pre=render things say in photoshop or have flash render them?
2) if I have a field of stars that drift along; is it better to create that Star Field in photoshop as a single picture (say a .png) or to create a star in my library and add it to a movie clip and then have that drift along?
Lets say I have a blur effect on my stars and have an equivalent on the photoshop.
3) I have heard (and experienced) adding effects like blur takes a fair amount of CPU and memory so was wondering if I created the effect in photoshop and then imported the 'blurred' object into my flash if I could cut down on system resources?
