I have created an animation using a motion tween. When I publish it as an SWF, it correctly does not show the green motion path. However, when I export as an AVI, it actually shows the path in the AVI video. How can I "turn off" the path display

View 4 RepliesI have a CS4 document with many objects, motion paths over multiple layers. I want to scale everything, including the motion paths of each object. I've tried to do this by Clicking 'Edit Multiple Frames', then 'Selecting All Frames' and finally scaling everything via the Transform panel. Everything appears to have been scaled apart from the motion paths. Is there a way to do this?

I've created a shape, converted it to a symbol, done an Insert Motion Tween, and brought up the Motion Editor. I'm looking for Rotation X and Rotation Y, but only see Rotation Z. View 2 RepliesI have been searching far and wide for a solution on how to offer slow motion and fast motion options for users that upload video to my webstie. There is an implementation on Google Video that has exactly what I am looking for: the option to speed up or slow down the video and continue to play the audio. The screenshot is below. I know that Flowplayer has an option to slow down or speed up video when implemented with Wowza server. However, when using that approach, there is no sound.
I have also seen the option from Enounce called MySpeed that allows video to be slowed or quickened, but this requires a browser plugin which is too much of a barrier for our users. How does Google do it? How can you add an option to a flash player to slow down or speed up video?Here is a screen shot. You can see the option to change the speed of the video to 1.5x. It also has options to go to 0.5x, 1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x, 2.0x, 2.5x, and 3.0x.
I simply want to put a movie on my website. I have other flash movies on my site that work fine. I import the video for progressive view. Publish the .fla. I get a .swf and an .html. I upload the files to my website and NOTHING! I check them locally and they work fine. Then I publish them again and they no longer work locally.
Flash 8 publishes them by default to my desktop. But if I use the default paths in CS4 the files don't even publish...they are nowhere to be found even with a search of my HD. I took html code from my site that was working and just changed the .swf file name. that didn't work either.

I'm working on this project where anyone can upload an image through ASP then sends the link of the uploaded image to an XML that is read by flash...Is it posible that flash read diferent paths so many users can upload their image at the same time and each one of them see their own image?
View 0 RepliesI've made a project which uses double slashes ("\") on paths for source files like sounds,xml etc. It works fine on a CD but I want to uploaded on a server.The swf files which use those paths work fine on IE but not on firefox,safari,opera etc. I red that the problem is the slashes that I used in paths. They should be backslashes like "/Sounds/somesound.mp3" and not "\Sounds\somesound.mp3".I found that firefox translates "\Sounds\somesound.mp3" to a single file named "Soundssomesound.mp3", the directory "Sounds" now turns to a part of the filename.
If I place and rename the source files like "Soundssomesound.mp3" on the server in the same directory with the swf file (not in "Sounds" directory) this way works on firefox, but does not work on IE. I have to place the source files in both ways to work in all browsers but that's not good...I know that the best thing that I can do is to change the path syntax in fla's but the project is to big.
I have a bunch of loadMovie() scripts in my flash files and everything loads fine when I open the flash files from my folder.Once I preview them online on my test server, the loadMovie() scripts no longer work. Has anyone encountered this? Does my paths need to change in order to view the flash files online?Right now, I have everything realitive to the flash file so:My main file is test.swf. that loads in fine in the website.But test.swf loads in test2.swf which is contained in a flash folder so my loadMovie script itloadMovie("flash/test2.swf", 2)

For example, I have my folders set up in the standard bin, src, lib configuration where the .fla is in the src folder and I want to publish to .swf to the bin folder. The clipping path looks fine when I drop it on the same color background in Illustrator. I'm using CS2 and Flash 8.

View 1 RepliesI am trying to find a way to avoid using FXG in one of my applications but run into a problem where the captured bitmap is not exactly the same as the original filled FXG paths.Originally, let's say I have a 3 shapes that are adjacent to each other (you can imagine a pie chart with 3 slices). I used "cutImage" function below to capture the filled bitmap data and display the 3 pictures. However, we discovered that there is a 1 pixel gap on the side where each shape meets the other shapes. Not sure if there is any relationship, but the captured bitmap is exactly the same as displaying the filled path directly but with "cacheAsBitmap" set to true. If we just display the filled paths with cacheAsBitmap set to false, there are no gaps between the shapes

Is there a way to add paths to the Flash runtime search path for loading files? Say I want to load myXML.xml and its down in /myDir1/myDir2/myXML.xml. Is there any way I can add "/myDir1/myDir2" to the search path so I can just load using the string "myXML.xml" INSTEAD of loading by the full path "/myDir1/myDir2/myXML.xml"? My directory structure will be changing on a semi-regular basis so I can't hard-code the direct path to the file.

View 2 RepliesI would like to create a polygon that changes its shape (circle, trapezium, square, rectangle, triangle) based on specific buttons that the user clicks? An existing shape has to be able to morph into all the others. For instance, the trapezium has to morph to a square, circle, rectangle or triangle.
If I were to create each transition manually, I would end up with 5x4=20 scenes. Is there a way that I can just assign each shape to its own frame, and deploy actionscript to set in motion the transitions from one frame to the 4 other possible frames? I am very grateful to anyone to just point me in the right direction,
I have a movie that uses a couple audio files. When I run this as a swf, everything plays fine...Except at the end.I have a frame that says thankyou.play(). That is tied to a mediaDisplay component. When I put a trade for thankyou.onSoundComplete....Nothing happens.So with the Flash still working fine for the most part, I export the movie as a Quicktime movie. It plays the intro audio but never moves forward from there.The background noise is gone.

View 4 RepliesI'm having a really weird problem exporting a library asset (movieclip) to a swc file. This should be really simple to do... The strange thing is, if I do not include the outside code in my project, when I try to export the asset as a swc, it will give me errors, but it will also create the file with no problem. If I include the outside code and export the library asset as a swc, it compiles with no errors but it NEVER WRITES THE FILE! This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Has anyone else run into this problem and if so, how did you fix it? If I repeat the same process in windows I do not see the same issue, it creates the swc without any hesitation. Is there a weird setting in Mac OSX that I need to change maybe?

View 3 RepliesI am having trouble exporting my animations created in Flash CS5 (or Macromedia flash 5, or CS3) to .MOV files. I'm having these issues on different platforms (mac and pc) and different operating systems (XP and win 7) - I only get error messages and out of memory errors, even on the fastest computer I have with 4gig of RAM working on a 2mg Flash file. I just want to convert my Flash files to a format that can play on Youtube and standard DVD players. Also I've tried many converters (flash to video) - not all free (Moyea, Roxio, iWisoft, Winfx Video Converter, Amor, E.M. Magic, etc, etc) - nothing works. The main problems are either the sound is not synched, the playback is choppy, and the quality is awful. I think my only hope of getting a good video is starting with a good .MOV file exported from Flash. [URL]..

View 4 RepliesI'm working in Flash CS3 and until this point I've had no problems. I put together a test movie and after testing it, exported it as both a .swf and within an html file. Testing locally, the html works fine. However, when I put in the external URL that points to the same file, the .swf fails to load. Changing the path to point to the .swf itself, I'm told the page cannot be found. Did I miss something in the exporting process? No other movie published so far from this configuration has behaved in this manner.
View 0 Repliesi need a good way to export swf to video, prefareable (.flv, .mov) When i use Flash standart export movie method (export to .mov) i get a 450 Mbyte file from my 2,5 Mbyte swf. I need it to be about 10-25 Mbyte.
In my .swf there is allready a .flv with sound and some more timeline animation I added. I allready tried to import the .swf to After Effects and re-export it from there to .flv but importing the .swf results into an empty timeline with 0 frames.
I know flash CS5 has the ability to export .mov files. I was wondering it was possible to create a interface where a user could open a swf and export it as a .mov file.
