Java :: Transcoder To Convert SWF Files To AVIs
Mar 25, 2010I am looking for some type of SWF transcoder so I can convert SWF files to .avi's. Preferably something that we could hook into our Java architecture.

View 1 RepliesI am a .NET Developer, but the question I am having is not related to .NETPlease keep this in mind even if my question sounds very trivial.This is my question:We have an swf in the browser, which communicates with a java extensionIts done using Smartfox Server(Used for MMO apllications)From the swf we are grabbing a portion of the screen as "Byte Array" in action script(3).And in Java, we are calling a function that converts the ByteArray to Image and then saves it.ur Java developer is encountering the errorSo basically, what I would like to know is this:How to accept the object type Byte Array from ActionScript in Java?Whats Java object type that is mapped to Byte Array in ActionScript?The conversion part is easy, I dare say. code in the ActionScript Section
public function savePhoto(uName:String, ba:ByteArray, descr:String):void{
var obj:Object = {};
obj.arr = ba;

I have created an animation using a motion tween. When I publish it as an SWF, it correctly does not show the green motion path. However, when I export as an AVI, it actually shows the path in the AVI video. How can I "turn off" the path display
View 4 RepliesI've tried exporting a MOV file using Flash 8. I've tried converting to a MOV using ffmpegx. Neither have worked.
View 1 RepliesI'm porting an existing java library to actionscript and since they are both realy similar, 95% of the work is simply flipping variable and function definition around.
public int foo(int bar) {}
//converts to
public function foo(bar:int):int {}
Is there a tool to automate the transition between java syntax and actionscript? I'm not looking to compile java to swf, just transform the source code to be (often nonworking) actionscript.
The coding language is Java.I have a ByteArray embedded in ActionScriptObject.(Smartfox Server)I want to convert it into ByteArray.The idea is to save it as an image.This a sequel to the post --> Convert Byte Array from Action Script to Image in Java and save it
View 2 RepliesI need to take a .swf Flash file, ideally from a URL (but I can read the file from disk also) and create an image preview of it (png, gif or jpeg is fine).I am using Adobe Coldfusion 8 so I'm looking for a Java solution. I need to get the first frame of the Flash movie only.
EDIT: I need to do this on the server in Java/CF at runtime - it's got to be automatic - I'm not looking for screen-grab software.
i've been making an app for android in java, but i'm curious about convering to actionscript so that i could use flash builder to port my app onto BB and iOS too.is this possible through some sort of automater? how hard would it be? my app is pretty simplistic in the grand scheme of apps
View 1 RepliesI need some help with this issue. I want to convert code written in Java to Actionscript code.
Or to find the way to call Java applets with actionscript.
I am trying to convert the following java binary search routine to as3.I assume that 'compareTo' is a built in java method and that '>>>' s a type of bitwise operation.
package binary;
public class Finder {
public static int find( String[ ] keys, String target) {
int high = keys.length;[code]..........
I'm tring to convert the following 3 methods from java-actionscript to Objective C. Part of my confusion I think is not knowing what Number types, primitives I should be using. ie in actionscript you have only Number, int, and uint. These are the 3 functions I am trying to convert public function normalize(value:Number, minimum:Number, maximum:Number):Number

I am new beginner, is it possible the covert flex data grid to CSV file format with out use any backend (java,php ..) file?. Because I tried with out use bankend. is it convert or not?
View 1 RepliesI am looking for libraries or solutions to convert a Microsoft PowerPoint file into a playable Flash file. The constraints are that I must be able to do this from Java, a webapp, that is running on a Linux-based server. I have been scouring Google and have only come up with two options: iSpring SDK -[URL] Option #1 is looking like it will be cost prohibitive based on initial conversations with the vendor (i.e. no price listed on web site). Option #2 seems non-ideal as it will require installing additional dependencies of OpenOffice and X11. This seems like too much overhead for what should be an inline solution.
Everything else I could find was either written only for Microsoft .NET or was just a PowerPoint plugin exporter. Any other solutions out there that are being buried by Google SEO? Can someone, maybe, convince me that the overhead of Option #2 really ain't that bad?
Update: I should clarify that I'm not opposed to reliance on a native library as long as it will compile on CentOS or, preferably, has a yum package available. I should, also, clarify, that I'm not opposed to a "for pay" option within realms of reasonable.
I need to convert latitude longitude values into pixel positions as well as do the opposite. I've found many solutions to go from lat/lng->pixel, but can't find anything on the reverse.
A couple of notes:
The map is a fixed size, no zooming, no tiles. I don't need anything super accurate, its not important. Preferably mercator projection, but not required. I'm not actually display the result. (Any 2D projection) I can't rely on any web based API's, ie: no Google Maps
A solution in almost any programming language would be fine, as long as it doesn't rely on any platform specific APIs.
This is an example of going from lat/lng->pixel:
var y = Math.round(((-1 * lat) + 90) * (this.MAP_HEIGHT / 180));
var x = Math.round((lng + 180) * (this.MAP_WIDTH / 360));
I want to play some flash videos in my desktop application are there any tools (library,jar file, class... etc) to embed flvs in any java forms?
View 2 RepliesHow do I download multiple files at once from a browser without combining them into single file? I found all kinds of multiple file uploaders, but downloaders are missing. There is only JUpload, but it's old and became buggy recently. I believe both Java and Flash can do this: select a folder at client's HD and download everything there.
View 1 RepliesI've got a Java/Flex project that I'm building using Maven. After doing some research I'm using the Flexmojos project [URL] for the Flex part, and almost everything seems to work fine so far (after a bit of struggling). I'm using version 4.0-alpha-5 (4.0-SNAPSHOT didn't seem to work for me).The Flex projects isn't recognized by Eclipse as Flex projects though. If I manually change the .project file and add .actionScriptProperties and .flexProperties files, Eclipse seems to recognize the projects as Flex projects.
View 4 RepliesI'm currently working on a Java/Flex project and I'm looking for a way to generate some parts of my Actionscript code from my Java files. One of the goal is to generate the AS valueObjects from the JAVA transferObject as well as some AS code to access the serverside function asynchronous.And other important point is that I want to be independent of some IDE. The code generation should run from Maven or Ant and take the Java source code as input.I looked a little bit around and found stuff like SpringROO, Groovy-GRAM, AST in eclipse,..
View 6 RepliesI'm programming using the SWT Widget Library for Java in eclipse, and I'm designing a runnable Java application. I've got the application down, I just don't know how to load external .swf files from a folder on "ALL" computers. I can load Images from any computer, because I use the getResourceAsStream line of code. But the "import com.docuverse.swt.flash.FlashPlayer" "loadMovie(arg, arg)" only takes a String.
So I did ClassName.class.getResource("blah.swf").getPath(); which gives you a string, I set it up, and running it on eclipse it can perfectly find the file in the package. When I export it, the runnable Jar I made cannot find the "blah.swf" inside of the .jar file.So there is my problem, how do I load my .swf files from within the .jar or from an external folder so clients can download along side the .jar executable application, so it can point to those swf files.
I have an Adobe AIR application for Android. Using for this AIR 3.0 and Flash Builder 4.6. I need to make MyANEFile.ane - which must include 2 external .jar files: Flurry.jar + Tapjoy.jar. But when I made .ane file - it does not work. How can I add this 2 jar files to my main application jar file to make .ane file properly? It shows me such errors in dalvik:

Using an unobtrusive technology (HTML5, Flash, Java Applet) which runs in the browser, is it possible to handle compressing of files before being uploaded to the server? I'm building software which will be consumed by a lot of slow connections and by non-computer-savvy users and circumventing an application install would be very beneficial for them.
View 1 RepliesI have Adobe CS4 Master Suite. If I need to convert some large .avi files into .swf format for use in a 3d program, what's the best way? Should I bring the .avi into Flash Pro, AfterEffects, or Premiere? I hoped you could do the conversion with Adobe's Media Encoder, but that 'only' lets you generate .flvs not .swfs.
View 1 RepliesI write a flex + java application using the blazeds framework. when i write log files in my java classes the default path is the java path on the server. I want it to be my application at the tomcat/webapps/application directory when i write it hard-coded it failed (maybe bacause of permissions) but, i want it to be general (not hard-coded) so, what do i need to change in my java code in order to write files in my webapps directory? maybe it just an xml configuration?
View 3 RepliesI'm currently working on a Flex3/blazeDS/Spring/Oracle project. My requirement is display a list of files from an external FTP server in a grid, user can select single file or multiple files to download, and if user selects multiple files I should tar the files on the FTP server and download the tar file from FTP server to user disk. As per my understanding on the File Download in Flex we have 2 ways to do it. 1) File Reference 2) Using navigateURL and call server side JSP/Servlets to download files.
1) For FileReference we need to download the data first and prompt the user to save the file by clicking on some button. We cannot prompt the 'Save' dialogue without the click event for Security reasons in Flex (Workaround). But my client hates this process because its two steps and he want it in one step like normal file download with only 'Save' dialogue. Then I tried the second option.
2) navigateURL. Open a new windows make a post url request for to JSP/Servlets and prompt the 'Save' dialogue. The problem I am facing here is the pop-up window does not close once the download is complete. navigateURL does not return any reference to the window to close the window. I even tried different content types and headers and java script but none seems to work. The window closes when it is a single file and not for the tar or zip file. I would like to download the popup window for any type of downloads. I am using IE7.
I'm using a Flash tool to transfer data to Java. I'm having problems when it comes to sending multiple objects at once. The objects being sent are just generic Object objects, so it's not a case of needed to register a class alias or anything.
Sending one object works fine. Once I start sending multiple objects (putting the same Objects in an Array and sending that), it starts getting weird. Up to three objects in an Array seems to work fine. More than that I get different errors in the readObject() function, such as:
[code]...
If it's going to crash with an "unknown AMF type error", it does so immediately i.e. when we try to read the object, and not when it's trying to read a subobject. In stepping through the read code, it seems when I pass an array of objects, if the length is <= 4, it reads the length right. If the length is bigger than that, it reads it's length as 4.
Five different software converters I have downloaded because they claim to convert all files, but in fact not one would recognize an fla file. On forums I have found discussions with guys fruitlessly seeking a way to convert fla files to mp3 or, in fact, almost anything else.

View 2 RepliesI've programmed a Java application using BlazeDS and Flex, but i think the problem also occurs in any ajax style application. It's a monitoring application, so requests are made regularly to the server. The browser has stored a large amount of temporary internet files on the client pc even getting it saturated. How I can avoid this? I have seen some articles that say to include variables in the html header as:
