I sorted this problem before, but it's back again.
Both of my animations work fine in firefox, but don't loop in IE.

works perfect on my macbook pro (safari, firefox, and opera) but when I view the site on Vmare Fusion Windows XP and use IE and FireFox the pages don't load... I don't know what to make of this. Has anyone hear or seen anything like this happen before? BTW the website was created in Adobe Flash CS4/ AS 3.0 and published using Flash Player 10.
View 2 RepliesHere's the site: [URL] From feedback I've gotten, it appears that under certain circumstances the first image in a set of images does not load properly, although I haven't seen it myself. I'm told this happens only in Firefox. And I believe only Flash player 8. Works fine with FF and Flash player 9, or IE with 8 or 9 I believe.

View 2 RepliesI just discovered that one of my old AS2 projects isn't working properly anymore in Firefox.I have a multiline TextField with htmlText that works fine in the Flash IDE, and fine in IE8, but in Firefox it behaves rather strange: each paragraph appears on exactly two lines, no matter how long it is! It always breaks before the last word of the paragraph, even if the whole of the line is shorter than the textfield width.
But this behaviour only shows up if the text is loaded in from an XML file! If the same text is simply assigned to a string, it works normally.
ive created my website and majority of it is flash. The problem is it that it works in every other browser except mozilla firefox and I usually get the message saying i need to install the latest flash version or update. I did that and it still doesnt work. It is my portfolio website so i need to resolve this on my end so when potential clients or employers look at it it works and they dont need to change any settings if that is the problem...but i also tried that and it didnt work (making it a trusted site, enabled javascprt)

This code works properly in IE7 but in Firefox I have discovered that the images are loaded after than the swf. This swf file needs some parameters to work with the images, but if the images are not loaded previously then the swf does not work properly. In firefox, a page refresh is needed if the images are not yet loaded in the cache.
I have resolved the problem partially preloading the images in the previous page link using: <img src="imagebig.jpg" style="display:none;" alt="" width="781" height="1051"/> With this solution, the images are loaded prior to the swf loading.
When using SWFobject everything works fine in Safari and IE. Firefox plays sound but not imagery from flash? is the problem with SWF object or something else? Here's the source code.

I downloaded flash to my new computer and videos will work using IE but when I try with firefox it acts as if I don't have it installed (says "download flash here,etc. ) and videos wont play.

I put that code into a button. The menu frame is three frames behind the frame that I put the button on. If I replace the "menu" with "game", it works. The game frame is one frame behind the frame the button is on. What happens is instead of going to the menu frame, it flickers to the menu frame, then reloads the lose frame, which is where the button is. I know that it reloads because I have a dynamic text field that throws a random insult when you enter that frame. I can assure you. I have already double checked and triple checked that the frame label is correct. And the menu frame has stop() in it. I'm not that stupid, alright?
I used the tutorial found here. The 3 frames of my button are in a movie clip, within a keyframe in the main timeline. I used the code at the end in the tutorial for the first keyframe, so that the clip begins with music playing. However; I cannot get the buttons to work. I cannot stop the sound.

I have something odd happening when I update a FlxSprite's alpha repeatedly to make it fade out. Instead of taking 150 seconds to fade out completely (I actually want 15 seconds), it fades out over maybe 2 seconds. I tried tracing the actual alpha value, and the sprite is invisible when the alpha value is around 0.95 (95% opacity, ie slightly transparent). how I can get the alpha to work properly in Flixel?

I have a html file which has flash in it. The flash has few buttons on it. WHen i just click on the html page, the flash works. However, when i get into the html file from other pages, which i use action script getURL to link it. The html file show the flash but the buttons in it is not working.

Problem is when go to this page in IE7 or IE8 all is working OK but when go with Firefox 3 it is not stable. What i mean - not stable. Some times it start ok, all MC's are loaded, but some times it freeze after 2,3 maby 4 MC's. press arrow on left or right and imediatly after that move very fast in different directions mouse over flash file - it will start creating strange things, not all is refershed correctly even it freeze flash player.Same problem is in projector or when playing movie in Flash CS4, but in Internet Explorer it working 100% correctly (can moving mouse like creazy and no problem). What I am doing wrong? For sure I have newest flash players on my computer even on other comtuters problem is same.
View 6 RepliesWe have a Flash banner on the home page and each slide has a link to some other page. Everything works fine, exept in IE.
Basically what happens is that if you click on the banner the first time, the link will work fine and bring you to the new page. However, if you go back to the home page again, then the banner does not even present a link anymore (it will still work fine as far as the banner rotation is concerned - just no more links)..
I am building a website that is all in flash.In the first frame there are 6 buttons. Each button has a code to go to a different place in the timeline, where something happens. For example, one of the buttons has this code:

And so on.Everything happens on the same timeline.When I publish the movie to test it (ctrl+enter), everything works great.The problem happens when I upload the file to my ftp and try to view it online. In that case, when pressing one of the buttons, instead of jumping to the place in the timeline where it should go, it just continues on to the next frame on the timeline. So for example if I press the "web" button, instead of going to the label "web" it just continues on to frame 2 in the timeline, and then 3,4,5 and so on until there is a stop(); in the actionscript.
After the first press though, it goes back to working fine. Meaning, the second time I press the "web" button, it will go to the "web" label, and from the second click onwards everything works great. it's just the first click on ALL the buttons that doesn't work, although it does work locally...
ive pretty much finished my website(link is below).but there is one issue i am having problems finding articles/solution to;the fullscreen stage function works on Internet explorer but firefox does not go fullscreen when the button is pressed. you can test it for yourself and youll see.

View 14 RepliesI have an app that uploads pictures to the server. When I upgraded Firefox 3.6.6 FP to flash player 10.1 the uploaded stopped working. It still works perfect in other browsers. It works fine in Firefox 3.6.6 but different Flash player version. I did some debugging and noticed that it works fine when I run it in my development environment (Localhost). In the production server it returns I/o Exception but it doesnt make sense because it works for other players and also the file is there. I changed the permissions on the file to 777, the allowScriptAccess to always, tried to make the php path absolute also and no luck. The php file does not use sessions or cookies.
