Jan 7, 2010Below is my code used to load a MiniMap (which changes size)My problem is trying to update the level i have two buttons on the stage for next and previous.I Cannot update the level without the old set of minimap tiles staying there and if i try to remove the MiniMap container it spits out errors or a trace will return multiple times when i only expect it to return once. have been stuck at this point for the past 3 days.I can zip up the project. its only a small class and 6txt files if needed.

Apr 29, 2011I'm using AS 2.0 I have big MC(circle - vector). It's not perfect circle because of Flash.On this circle I have some mc's (small circles - bitmaps) --> I'm using attachMovie on Big circle. I'm rotating with big circle by 45 degrees.
Sometimes I have to delete small circle and create another one at the same location. But after rebuild the position of new small circle is a little bit changed[mm].
It's visible and I'm very disappointed. It happens even the rotation is 0.

Feb 12, 2012I am attempting to create a flash game similar to the Android (and now iOS) game Atomic Bomber, similar in concept of course. (I am unable to link a Youtube video, for concept search "Android Atomic Bomber")
My query is on moving the object to a click location, currently I am using Tween to move the object. The object is at a constant speed by default moving to the right, once the player clicks the stage the aircraft will move towards the click location:

As you can see the last trace (arrayName[1][0]) comes back undefined. How do I add the [1][0] level of the array?

Jun 29, 2009I need to create two combo boxes that are populated by an XML file. In the first combo box there are 13 choices and depending on what the user selects I need to populate the second combo box with the correct information. Now I can create the first combo box just fine but when I try to dynamically create the XML file name for the second combo box it doesn�t seem to work. What I am doing so far is taking the data from the first combo box and adding the quotes and .xml with this piece of code:

If you trace that code it creates the file name just fine however the xml file will not load. If I replace that code with the normal xml code like this:

The second xml file seems to load just fine. However, if I create an if statement with all the different xml file names I will have to update the swf every time I add a new choice in the first combo box. So my question is does anyone know how to dynamically create the xml file name?

Mar 30, 2009I have a box that i made dragable by clicking at it. I would like a green line attached to a point in the frame and the other end of the line attached to the movieclip being dragged. Hope i made it clear lol.
How would i go about to achive this effect? If possible without having the line itself being within the dragable movieclip (because the dragable box is in more than one frame and i only want the line in one frame)

Aug 21, 2011I created a simple button that displays an error messeage: "error opening 'url" when I test the movie, but does play and opens in browser after publishing. However, it won't open in the browser in a different location. I pasted the html code in a web page but it doesn't work there nor opens in the browser in a differnet location from where it was originally published and saved. Why is that?

Sep 6, 2009I'm trying to project "collision" points on a car for a racing game I'm making, similar to this image:
The car's registration point is the bottom center, so the bottom point is easy to place. It's also easy to get the top point using simple trigonometry. However, I can't seem to figure out how to project the two side points. I've tried drawing a bunch of different triangles to figure out how to project the points, but I can't get it to work
