Flex :: Remove Thin Origin Line From Background Of Graph

I wish to remove the thin origin line from the background of a Flex graph. I have converted one of axes to a Category axis and an origin line remains, that is now unwanted. The following seems to remove all the vertical lines as well as the origin

There is a thin border at the top and left margins of my Flash movie when the .html is viewed in a browser. How can it be removed?Here's the movie.One solution suggests replacing some code, but the code they suggest replacing doesn't even exist in my html file.I have found questions similar to mine being asked all over different forums, but their solutions either don't work, or like the above, don't really apply. For such a common problem, finding the solution is getting a little frustrating.

Can anyone tell me if an instance of a line as origin point and end point properties that can be read or changed? I know that if you create a line with actionscript you have to set them. But can the X and Y coordinates of the points be accessed once the line exists and moved to a different location?

I'm trying to draw a static graph based on an Array of Numbers. This graph should be nice smooth sinus-like.The bottom values should be always zero, the upper values are specified in an Array of Numbers.

I've been trying to achieve this effect with curveTo(), but without any luck.

EDIT: Values are like: 10, 15, 40, 28, 5, 2, 27 etc.

I have data whose primary visual representation is a simple number as aline height, but the rest of the data for a single sample contains much more data. I want to convey this extra information on a html5/flash line graph where each example is guaranteed to be on a single tick, and that the control can drive a click event that supplies the closest tick near the click and the entire associated sample data.[code]The graph would have at least 3 ticks, and if the user hovers/clicks, the extra data of the nearest tick would be shown elsewhere.

I'm drawing a line using this code:

But now I want to remove it, but I can't clear the whole this.graphics object because it contains more information that is useful for me. How can I remove this line without clearing this.graphics object? Is there any method to draw a similar line over it to hide or replace the line?

I have two requirements for a flex charting component:

1) The grid lines should always remain fixed to a scaling I define using an array of data. Something like a graph paper sheet.

2) Plot multiple line series data over this grid.

How does one get complete control over the background grid lines? I have tried a combination of annotation elements and setting the linechart background elements. If I get the grid right, I can't plot over it (Probably due to the scale). how would one go about designing a graphpaper like interface for linecharts in flex/actionscript?

I am faced with a dilemma. I am writing components with nested components. What sort of coordinate system scheme should I implement? I want to be able to pass points to the components without having to worry about where the origin is in absolute terms. At the same time, I want to have some sort of encapsulation when it comes to origins and stuff. Is there any sort of guideline to follow when it comes to nested components and such?

I have created a flex chart with multiple Y axis. I want that it shows origin for one of the data series. It shows the line, but on the wrong plase.

Maybe it is because I didn't tell to GridLines which axis use as a source? But, I am not sure if it is possible to do...

The nodes must be click-able to show which other nodes it is connected to.

Graph Flex LineSeries / Find Y-value Along Curve

I've created a Flex LineChart that shows high and low tide predictions over time. I'm using the LineSeries with form="curve", which produces a nice sinusoidal wave graph, representing water level over time. The X-axis represents time, and the Y-axis represents water level. The only data points I have to work with are high and low tide values, but I would like to figure out how to determine the y-values of arbitrary x-values along the line.[code]

Our app implemented on Flex and uses REST API. And previously it used notifications.sendEmail. App has publish_stream and email permissions (checked with users.hasAppPermission).

I have an area graph and I'm looking to have the data points to be shown. I have a CircleItemRenderer, but this shows all of the datapoints in the default stroke and fill. 1) How do I customize the display of my CircleItemRenderer? (instead of it having an orange fill, how can I change the color?

2) How can I decide to show the node for specific data points but not for others? For example, in my .XML file that imports the data for the graph, I may have a variable show_data_point which is true or false.

I'm trying to set the background of a createTextField(), BUT only for the lines, not the whole box.

If I use background and backgroundColor, it sets the whole text box bg to be white, but I only want the lines filled in.

For example, if you 'select' the text on an HTML page, only the lines are highlighted. Can this be done in Flash?

I'm using CS3 AS2.
