I have an area graph and I'm looking to have the data points to be shown. I have a CircleItemRenderer, but this shows all of the datapoints in the default stroke and fill. 1) How do I customize the display of my CircleItemRenderer? (instead of it having an orange fill, how can I change the color?
2) How can I decide to show the node for specific data points but not for others? For example, in my .XML file that imports the data for the graph, I may have a variable show_data_point which is true or false.

I have a flash file which loads in vars from director. It then adds the values to a graph. The amounts from the string are inputed into text fields. the fields are named energy, waste etc. I want a textfield to output whichever sections that are over 5 saying "well done, you have excelled in water, energy...... I have got this working but am stuck on this bit: I am wanting to add an "and" before the last item, so it outputs as "well done you have excelled in water, waste and energy". Also if only one item is over 5 it wont add the "and". This probably doesnt make any sense, heres my code anyhow:

I'm trying to build a new concept for an interface inside an operating theatre - What I was trying to do (to start with) was make a line dynamically draw itself from a set of values (which I have in an excel spreadsheet) - gradually revealing itself over time like in the screens you see on medical drama's.

My code does work to an extent, but as an Array can only contain a limited number of elements (I think it is 255 maximum - but I could be wrong), and the data in the XML exceeds the maximum limit of the Array, I was wondering if there is an alternative method of plotting the graphs from data in XML.

I've created a Flex LineChart that shows high and low tide predictions over time. I'm using the LineSeries with form="curve", which produces a nice sinusoidal wave graph, representing water level over time. The X-axis represents time, and the Y-axis represents water level. The only data points I have to work with are high and low tide values, but I would like to figure out how to determine the y-values of arbitrary x-values along the line.[code]

Is there a known app (demo or otherwise) to generate a dependency graph of all projects linked to a given project. i have a problem using the itemRenderer functionality. When using an ArrayCollection the visible Data in the DataGrid using the itemRenderer will be rendered just fine. But if i start scrolling the entries are repeating in the cells using the renderer. The cells are not filled with date according to the id. What mistake i'm doing here.

I am trying to drag and drop hierarchical data in the same advanced data grid, and I would like the data provider to updated when the ADG is updated. (I want to be able to save and load this tree, so it is important that drags and drops are saved.)

The sample app has an ADG showing hierarchical data as well as flat data. The first column of each datagrid shows the rowindex of the underlying data.
If you rearrange the items on the left ADG, the row indexes become unordered. If you click traceTree you see that the data provider is not in order.
On the other hand if you do the same on the right, the row numbers stay ordered even when the objects move around and if you click traceFlat, the data provider is in the order shown on ADG
My goal is to have the data provider order match the ADG order for the left grid which is displaying hierarchical data.

I have been searching the net for a tutorial how to graph functions. I found one from Barbara Kaskosz, very detailed, and too much scripting. Too much for me. Is there another way or place to learn, or I am doomed, and have to face the music and study her stuff. All I want, is to be able to graph a simple function.

I know sending Flash is a bad idea, I would love to find a way to convert my current graphs to an image, but am pretty certain there is no quick fix without building a work around myself.
Therefore what are the best open source or closed solutions for this problem.I need to be able to display two graphs dynamically and then email them to users.
