HTML :: How To Resize Flash Animation To Fit Container

I have a flash animation with the size of 1280x1024 and I want to embed it into an HTML file. I want the flash file to be displayed in 800x600. This is my code:

Well, it doesn't work. I do have a 800x600 frame, but the flash file itself still displayed on its original size.

What I want to accomplish is to resize an external SWF so that it fits into the display object that is presented as a container on the stage. For now it show up outside of the container.
Important: I do not want an external SWF to occupy the whole stage; I have a special place (that container) for it on the stage.

I'm building a website with php/css. I'm a photographer and will be displaying images, one per page. I'd like to allow the user to click an image and view it in fullscreen, scaled to their screen resolution.I know that much can be done in flash. However, I'd like to display html elements once the fullscreening has occurred. This is because I want to retain right-click functionality.
(specifically, I want users who are going to try to steal my images to actually be able to download the image out of the sized div it's in, with metadata and hidden copyright notice intact, rather than taking a screenshot and bypassing all of my usage and copyright notification)So... flash fullscreen containing html elements?

when you go to the home.html page an animation will play from start and then stop at the end of it. However, for all other pages i.e contact.html aboutus.html we need the animation to skip to the end straight away and not to play the whole animation through. I was thinking this would be controlled by a variable or some kind of external text file ect. Basically in the first frame the actionscript needs to basically say
"if this html page is aboutus.html then go to the last frame and stop" and with the index page it would say "if this html page is index.html then keep playing"

I am doing some pre-production on a project that requires drawing on a 3d canvas, which I think flash is the best way to go. But there is a chance down the line that this client might want the site to show up on the ipad, iphone or other mobile devices that don't support flash.
So I was playing with the idea of doing everything in html and javascript except for the actual drawing/3D area. Almost like using flash as the element. I think html5 is too premature to start using this, but might be beneficial down the line. Chances are I will just go the entire flash route, but I thought it would be interesting to try. question is pretty top level. 1) how hard would it be to drag an object from an html page using javascript, and dropping it into the flashplayer. And then manipulating it from there.
Are there any examples out there that have tried to do this?

I am implementing the flash slider, Piecemaker, for the first time in my latest project. I've got a problem with it's animation being cropped by the width and height of its container, and I cannot for the life of me work out how to let it overflow outside its container during animations. There is also a weird problem I've just noticed that the top of the slider gets clipped off for some reason? who's worked with piecemaker, or something similar, or a css ninja see what the problem is? I have set a stage to this size: 1200x330 px.
All graphics in this animation area greater than the stage, so I could extend the stage size to 1200 x 450 px.
So, my miz size for the movie is 1200x330 px and max size is 1200x450 px.
Is there a way to show the movie at minimum size or maximum size based on the browser window heigt?
note that the movie is put iside a table in my html file.

If you resize the browser window the flash movie (and only the flash movie) will be shown in different ways. If the browser window is higher enough the whole flash movie is shown. If the browser window is not higher enough, the top and the bottom of the movie will be cut. Of course there is a trick that cuts the movie only to a specified minimum size.

I'm sure what I'm asking is very simple, but my action script knowledge is too basic to figure this out.I want to have a small thumbnail/button like 80 by 42 in my webpage, and I want my flash movie to re-size by 800 by 420, when clicked. I made a very simple thing by creating a button on the first frame, and having my full-size content starting from the second frame. By having it windowless, it looks like it's working fine. But since, my whole flash is 800 by 420, it will ruin my layout when I embed in HTML.

I have a stage with Top, Middle & Bottom Movieclip's set on it. On resize the content is scaled to fit and maintain the correct proportions.I am loading each content (page) in as external SWF files into the Middle container using a Loader and URLRequest.Here is my onCompleteHandler function:

I have to place a flash movie into an existing layout. It is replacing placeholder image of the same size. The DIV holding the image has a negative top margin. When the flash movie is placed in the same spot there is a gap at the top of the DIV equal to the amount of negative margin. I cannot seem to get the movie to move to the top of the DIV (FF3).

I have a window witch is resizing on creationcomplete phase according user preference. This part woks well. But inside this window a s:Group (maincontainer2) exists and even if width and height is in percent, the s:Group size is bigger that the new window measure.

Is there any way to make it so that the width and height of the stage will be whatever the user resizes the browser to? I know how to do it in flash because you just resize the window, but doing when I do it in a browser I always end up with a scroll bar because you have to specify pixels.
So I tried doing a 100% by 100% width and height value in html. It keeps the proportions..so there is always a space on the top and bottom or left and right...

I'm using the following code to load a .jpg into a movie clip container the problem is I need the container to be a specific size I tried loader.content.width = 50; and loader.content.height = 50; the height part works but the width doesn't work my image just expands beyond the stage width.How do i set the size of the movie clip container?I don't care if the image gets distorted i have a resize script for the images before they are loaded into flash.[code]

I'm having a problem with a finished flash piece where, in the most simple scenario, if the user screen size is very small, the background html comes up over the bottom of the flash movie and covers a portion of it. The effect can also be seen if you resize the browser window down fairly small. I want the user the be able to see all the content fine, even if they have to scroll a lot to achieve it. I have my flash set up with:

Is there an easy way to make a parent container (eg Group) resize when it's children resize?
Below is a little example app. When I put the 200x200 'food' in the 'stomach' the stomach & it's containing 100x100 'body' should resize to contain the food.

I'm trying to create a Flex application that can automatically shrink based on the size of the components that it contains, so that a user can shrink it to a minimal view to see more of the HTML page it's embedded in.
I know how to change the size of the whole application using ExternalInterface, but I'm having trouble automatically figuring out how much the size changed when something is hidden or shown.
For example:
Let's say I have the following flex layout:

Once the VBox shrinks, how can I detect that the Application no longer needs so much space, and then go about figuring out how much less space it needs?
I've tried using ResizeEvent, but I haven't been able to get them to work, but I could be doing something wrong.

Let me give the context first. A user opens a local html file which has a reference to a network url of an swf file to embed.
(1) If the embed swf requests a local image file , will Flash allow the request?
(
2) If the embed swf requests an image file on a non local url other than one of the swf file, will Flash check a crossdomain.xml file on the url?

I am working on some text animations using ActionScript (3.0).The type of animations that I want require tweening each character of the text. Therefore, the way I want to do this is to break apart the text string, create a text field for each character, put it into a sprite, position the sprite so that the characters form a linear text and then tween the individual character sprites.But the problem is if I have an HTML string of text. If I try to break apart the string, then the HTML tags will break and they will be animated as if part of the text? Is there another way of achieving this type of character by character animation? Is there a way in which the HTML formatted text can be kept ?

I'm trying to resize an animation I have larger, it has 12 layers, and 20 frames or so on each layer. I'm using edit multiple frames and selecting them all, and it is working to resize them, but randomly it will delete one of my objects for a few of the frames. When I scrub through the timeline after the resize, something is always missing, but it's always a random object and only for a few frames
