I need to make the font on the flash page have a white outline and a red fill and also on another font a white outline with no fill. I cannot seem to work out how to do this?
View 1 RepliesI have a circle on top of an image that's fading in and out. When I tween the image, a white border appears around the circles on top of the image. This doesn't happen when the circle is below the image layer, and it doesn't happen with a square. Any idea what's going on?

I have been trying to import clipping paths into Flash, but the images look fine, except for the white outline around the imported clipping paths. what I could do to remove this. The clipping path looks fine when I drop it on the same color background in Illustrator. I'm using CS2 and Flash 8.

i have a graffiti-looking font that is "outlined", that i need to somehow use actionscript to turn the text into fills, then fill in the middle of each character to make solid letters.
is it even possible to use AS to convert text to fills?
even if i need to use bitmapData somehow, is it possible to do what i'm trying to do?

I am new to flash, trying to do some animation character. I have 2 queries
1. What is lock fill; whenever I am trying to fill a color, it shows lock fill....
2. If I am creating a non regular figure like say with pencil, if I draw some part of it & do other part by later; these will be assumed different objects & I am not able to fill the whole figure with a selected color.
I'm trying to embed a font in my project by using url("font.ttf") rather than local("Font Name"), but it doesn't seem to pick it up. The font in question is called "Gotham Bold". When i view the details of the font, the font weight is regular, however when i use local("Gotham Bold") in the css i have to specify fontWeight: bold or else it wont pick it up. But when I use url("folderGotham-Bold.ttf"), and specify fontWeight: bold, it says that font weight is not found for that TTF. If i remove the fontweight, there's no errors, but the font is not applied to the text.

I have a scratch card. Basically I'm masking a movie clip with an empty shape. I can draw on that mask and thus my movieclip will become visible. I have also attached the fla.
Now what I would like to achieve is that when you fill a percentage of that mask, let's say 70%, I automatically fill the whole layer so that all of my movieclip becomes visible (as mask is fully filled).
It has me perplexed. Okay, when you draw a shape in Flash, let's say a circle, it draws a 'fill' and adds an 'outline' automatically. Now let's say I deleted the 'outline' part of it, and am left with just the 'fill'. Is there a way to add the 'outline' part back to the shape afterwards? I have a non-standard shape that I need to add an outline to, but can't seem to figure out how to do it

View 4 Replies1. I selected the Rectangle tool, and made sure Object Drawing Mode was not selected.
2. I picked colors for stroke and fill, and drew a rectangle.
3. I clicked the Selection tool, then dragged around the rectangle to select all of it.
4. In the Property Inspector I clicked the fill color icon. I clicked the square with the slash, to designate no fill. The fill disappears.
Everything has worked so far. But now I decide I want a fill color after all. I select the shape again. But clicking the fill color icon in the Property Inspector and the Tool panel has no effect on bringing a fill color back to the shape. I can't figure out how to do that.
Actually, I could restore the original fill color using Undo, or the History Panel. But it seems there must be a way using the Property Inspector.
I've been trying to change the color of some static text using Flash Pro 8, and I can't figure out why, when I publish the file, the text looks like it's outlined in white. Almost like the stroke is white but the fill is the color I'm looking for.

When a button is pressed, how can i get a black outline to show around the button to let the person know that was the button they selected--it would then go off when the next button is selected.

I just upgraded from Flash CS3 to CS5 and when I draw something and try to convert it to a movie clip, duplicate it, etc. the entire drawing's outline just disappears.

I'm trying to learn Flash CS5, but having a bit of trouble with the basics. I start a new actionscript3 project and, whenever I try to draw anything, no matter what I select, it always comes out as a plain, green outline. View 3 RepliesI run a school lab with a few users on each machine. One students came up with a problem. She is always in outline view, even when the outline button in the layers panels is not punched. When I log in to the same machine, I do not have the problem. I assume the problem is in the user preferences file. We are on Windows 7. I went into AppData and deleted what I thought was the preferences file, but it continues to return. Anyone have any ideas why I can't get her out of outline view? Adobe Flash CS5
