I am trying to import a simple, small PSD file with 8 layers to animate in flash. Once the file is imported, a lot of fuzzy pixel artifacts appear around the image instead of transparency. Is Flash able to use PSDs with transparent backgrounds?
ive made a nice animation(tween)with a bubble ,but id like to import it into photoshop so the frames cane be on seperate layers.is there a way to do this?
I have created a vector design in Illustrator on a single layer and have imported it into my Flash library using the import layers to Flash Layers option. Because I created the design on a single layer in Illustrator, the design imports as a single layer in Flash. My problem is that I cannot distribute any of the individual graphics to a new layer, even after converting them to movie clips. When I select "Distribute to Layers", a new layer is created for each of the selected graphics but the layers are empty.
I have also tried cutting a graphic from the import layer and pasting it into a new layer but it always pastes back into the original import layer rather than the one I have selected. Is there any way around this or will I need to go back into Illustrator and create separate layers based on my needs in Flash?
I am trying to seamlessly loop specific layers containing .swf or .flv movies infinitely, independent of other layers in the timeline.I have attempted to use the gotoAndPlay("x"); method, but the target layer always freezes on the last frame for about .5 seconds before executing the gotoAndPlay command. The only situation in which it doesn't freeze is when frame "x" is the first frame of the project. No other actionscript is being used anywhere else in this project
I want to import a video for optional playback into a flash animation. Now, the animation is a loop and replays after 120 frames or so. I noticed when I exported my moviemaker video and imported it into flash, it automatically asked me if i wanted it to arrange it to fit or not. the thing is, i don't want the video to automatically play like flash does for default. What i want is to be able to have it look like how a video looks in youtube 'before' you play it..you know how it has that 'arrow' sitting on it with a black screen showing
you that it's ready to be played if you want it to? well, that's what i want. so, if someone stumbles upon my animation loop on the web, they will see a little video in the upper corner that has the ability to play but it doesn't start
playing right when they get to the page. Also, when they play the video, the length is obviously longer than the loop of my animation, but I obviously don't want it cutting off when my loops ends and restarts, so is there a way to code where it will keep playing on it's own timeline apart from what the flash animation loop is doing? (it should be able to play all the way through, end, and be able to be played again no matter how many loops the animation goes through)second thing i want, is the video to be small..like maybe 220 X 180 in size.
when i exported in Moviemaker, I actually got a video size that I liked but the quality looked poor and sounded poor (I went with the Pocket PC export 148kbps or something like that). Now, was the quality poor just because Flash had to cut it off because of the animation loop restarting or is it going to be poor just cuz PocketPC export is a bad choice? In other words, what export choice should I go with in Moviemaker to get the desired results i want (with the desired width + height I want as well)?
Do you have to code to make it be a video that's got the arrow/blk bkgrd i.e. not playable til a user clicks...or do you just have to export it a certain way in Moviemaker to make it's format that way?
I am trying to make an animation in which different layers (=images) come into the stage, then stay in place and other layers move in and stay as well. I have done 2 of the layers so far, converted them into movie clips, tweened them etc. When I run the cursor along the timeline, I see the desired result on the stage, ie everything comes in at the right time and stays in place. However, when I export it to view the film, only the first layer comes in, moves into place and stays there, and then nothing happens, ie the second layer never comes in.
I've tried everything I can think of, moving the layers around etc, and have deleted and redone the whole thing many times in an attempt to fix this, but I simply don't know what is wrong.
I`m using flash cs3 for my works , but i have one problem!when i use File=> Import=> Import to Library... or Import to Stage...the flash environment becomes terminated.I changed my flash version to CS4 and I have this problem again.
I am having problems getting animations to occur at all levels/layers. So I have the main timeline level and when I drill into that layer, I have a character made up of several graphic symbols - shapes such as arms, legs, torso, etc. When I create keyframes and then try to reposition symbols to create animation, the movement is not appearing at all levels. for instance, if the arm is by the side in frame one, then I go to frame five and drill down into the symbol and reposition, the timeline will show the change from frame 1 to frame five at that level/layer, but not on the main timeline for the entire character.
I've created several movement animations for my character, i've also created several weapons which i've made into symbols. Is there a way to have my weapon stay in a relative position to my character(hand), even during animations?
I'm basically making a animation of someone breathing, with multiple layers. What I want to happen when a user clicks the animation is for it to switch to the next layer seamlessly (skin>muscles>skeleton). Each layer has the same 60 frames. For example, if the skin layer's currentframe was '37' i'd want the muscle layer to start at '38' when clicked.Below is some of the code I already have. I can trace the currentframe of the original mc, however the attached movieclip refuses to gotoAndPlay to that number?[code]
the snow effect always acts like the top layer, ok what i mean is, i have 3 layers, (1)toplayer= a car, (2)middle= snow, (3)low= background.I want to make the snow to be seen behind the car...i hope you understand what i mean , whenever i put the code from the link above it acts as the top layer and appears in front of everything.
I'm making an interactive book and I would like to make my "Text"-layer invisible when I start the "Turn Page"-animation. It's either that, or I'm gonna have to put a code for EVERY 23 MoveClips with the Texts in them, since I'm using the same "Turn Page"-button.
Is it possible to add layers, re-order layers, move movieclips from layer to layer or specify which layer a duplicate movieclip appears on at runtime with AS3?I am aware of the depth properties and the functions associated with that but it would be easier to have a concept of a layer because I am dealing with masks.I have a nasty feeling I'm gonna be told that layers don't really exist within an swf and that depths and setmask are all there is to work with.
My testing on the Mac side is pointing toward the Behaviors palette as to the culprit in this issue. As soon as I open that palette in my workspace, the ability to double click on a layer name in the Timeline palette stops. I have to right click and select Properties from the popup menu. Resetting my custom workspace does resolve the problem.
I have just entered Falsh and for some strange reason none of my layers are named. Not only that, when I draw a circle for instance and I want to move that circle. I have to move the line and the fill seperate... I think this has something to do with the layers not being named. I will be posting a print screen. Click the link. [URL]
I have a certain set of motion twains that I've successfuly completed, they constantly loop right now (default), and is saved in the SWF file.I'd like to take that finished looping animation, and insert it within another animation (a) that can be played with a play button, and stopped/resetted with a stop button. How do I insert the completed looping animation into the main animation? And is there something special I have to do in the actionscript of the start and stop buttons so that the "inner" looping animation will start and stop with the "outer" main animation?
I have a movieclip that shows an animation onRollOver and an animation on RollOut but onRelease the animation enlarge itselfs but now when I'll roll out when the animation isn't open (so i didn't release) the animation plays the animation for the minimizing of the animation. Here's my code (I know its a bit amateuristic but I'm not a programmer )
I'm illustrating a growing corn plant and want to start close up to the seed, then "zoom out" as the plant grows to 7'. Is there a way to link multiple layers, re-size multiple layers, or something else to achieve this result??
I have two flash files, the one Im editing and the original. I want to copy two perfect layers from the original and past them on the one im editing, but each time I copy, it only copies the image, cant copy the entire layer with the animation.
I have a project in which the different layers of an svg file need to be colored. I tried doing a color transform but it just puts an overlay of color on top of the svg image. Is there anything which can be doe to programmatically color the various layers of an svg file with different colors in AS3?
I purchased the Adobe CS4 Web Premium for the MAC and a Flash template from ozzu.com. The template contains 201 items in it's library but it's only showing 13 layers in the timeline. When I create a new layer, it display a blank "Layer 61", so I'm assuming there are 60 layers created for the template by the original template designer. When I test the movie, it shows all the buttons, pages, images, text, etc. But when I go to Control and Play, it only displays whatever is in the 13 layers, that is, only a tiny portion of the entire template. How do I display all the images, buttons, text, etc.in the timeline so that they will show up in the Stage area?
I'm having an issue where Flash is gets stuck displaying multiple layers of text simultaneously when the cursor is moved quickly through the circle of buttons and out of the .swf frame. When the cursor is moved at a moderate speed everything is functioning correctly. Below is the link to view the working .swf.[url]...
I have a swf file that has numerous buttons on it, and when I hover over them images appears. But when my images appears, I have other buttons (whose layers are on top of this current button layer) also appear on top of my images. I tried merging all my buttons onto one layer, but that doesn't seem to work either.
How would I be able to not make those other buttons appear on my hover state without using ActionScript?
I created an animation in which I'd like to continously loop the last 100 frames of 3 different layers ('baubles continuous' folder), how do I do that?
How do I apply a layer mask to every layer in my movie? After I highlight all of the layers and put them in the layer mask, the layers that are in folders will not go in the layer mask.
