Each flex application will be able to connect a camera and microphone and broadcast it to Flash Media Interactive Server. Listner will play the published live stream. First I thougt I will be able to do so over Amazon Web Services Content Delivery Network Cloud Front, but it looks that this is for playing stored files only. May you please give me some names of hosting providers that have presence in US, Europe and if possible other places?

Jan 13, 2010I'm trying to troubleshoot a Flash Media Server working with a little video playback application I wrote a few years ago that has suddenly stopped working.I'm using CS3/Actionscript 3.My app uses the FLVPlayback Component, and was working well last time I checked. I recevied a report that the videos stopped working, and have been looking into it.I figured I'd add a bunch of event listeners to the FLVPlayback's ncMgr.netConnection so I could get debug info on things like io errors, net status, etc.The problem I'm running into is that the netConnection is null when I set it to anything on my Flash Media Server, and adding any event listeners to this netConnection throws errors.Here's what I've tried so far:
Playback of a local FLV file works fine.In the FLVPlayback documentation, I found an example and stole the URL of the stream they were using in the example, and that works fine, although it is an HTTP protocol stream rather than RTMP.Any attempt to access FLV files on my Media Server, which has worked fine in the past, basically cause the FLVPlayback object to sit and hang in "buffering" mode and never progresses beyond this point.The netConnection object in this case is null.Here's my code:[code]........
Again the purpose of this is to troubleshoot the video streaming from the Flash Media Server, and it seems like there is no netconnection to the server being created.Does this mean that the server is not working, or is there a problem with the way I'm trying to access the content on the server?This was all working fine before, and I have set up the server-side application .ASC files and such to allow things to work fine on the server end.

Also, many cheaper hosts or CDNs use Wowza, i'm wondering if you have any major pros vs cons type comments about going with Wowza?

Dec 14, 2010- Is there a benefit to hosting FLV files on a Flash Media Server when they are under 2-3 minutes?I've been working on a couple different video projects as of late... some are simple web player with 30 second ads and others are working with longer videos like 2-3 minutes. I currently have an FLV hosting provider running Flash Media Server but with videos so small don't they download for the user as progressive anyway and there is no real benefit whether I am using my FLV host or my traditional web host?
i also use a separate video hosting company to handle my mobile videos mainly because I am a bit naive on how that works as well. I had a project with straight links to play video on mobile phones (with three different version served up based on OS). But it seems like most of those were progressive downloads as well.

Apr 23, 2009I'm creating an application in Flex that needs to use the DVR capabilities of FMS 3.5, ideally I would like to do this using the FLVPlayback 2.5 component, however I'm struggling to find any tutorials or info on this, I was wondering is someone could point me to one.
I heard that I need the DVRCast application to do this, but this hasn't been released yet, I was wondering if I could get a rough idea of when this is going to be released?

Oct 26, 2009Our QA department ran into an issue when testing dynamic streaming with multple encodings in the FLV format that results in a stream cannot be found exception thrown by the FLVPlayback component. An interesting note is that dynamic streaming works when we use F4V files. At first I thought perhaps this was a limitation with Flash, but when I traced the code inside the FLVPlayback component I realized that the video delivery using NetStream should be supported by the Flash video player. So I'm a little confused why this error is happening. We're using the SMIL playlist format to supply the FLVComponent with the videos. I've also tested each video with a direct RTMP connection and they playback fine, so there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the server or the files.

Media Server :: Akamai FMS And FLVPlayback Component?
May 27, 2009I have a couple of lessons that I have created in Flash CS3 for Flash Player 9 with AS3.In the main timeline of the lessons I have an flvplayback component setup to connect to our instance of Akamai's flash ondemand application to stream down several videos.
I have a customer who is behind a client side proxy server that is having an issue where the first 10-15 seconds of the any video plays then the video drops out and it appears that the flash player attempts to make a connection on another port which causes multiple audio streams to play but the video never comes back.From the network sniffer read out that their IT send me it appears that the flash player initially attempts to get out on port 80 then attempts port 1935 then attempts 443. if there is anyway to stop the flvplayback component from attempting multiple connections?
I created a stripped out application that just has a flvplayback component in it and when the end user opens that one it streams the video fine. I can only assume that my lessons which are using scorm and webservices to make database updates are reaching some bandwidth limit that the end users proxy doesn't like.

Media Server :: Path To FLV On FMS To Play In FLVPLayback?
Mar 24, 2011I have FMS 4 and using AS3, no matter what I do I can't get any of my recorded FLVs to play in FLVPlayback.
Is there somethign I'm supposed to install on FMS to get it to play properly?
WHat should my path be? I've been told that the flv are living in the fms/applications/storyvideos/streams/videos folder.
I've tried every combination of paths I can think of.

Jul 27, 2010I'm using the FLVPlayback to load streaming videos from a FMS. The bug that I'm running into is with the buffering state. Several times the video will enter a buffering state that never ends. The last video event that's fired in this scenario is the BUFFERING_STATE_ENTERED. But if I seek the video on the seekbar, it's playing away.

Nov 4, 2011I'm trying to request to an API method on the same server that is hosting the SWF file. I'm getting a security error 2048. This occurs whether I use POST or GET, and leaving the request data blank doesn't improve things. Nothing is sent in either case, and I get a SecurityErrorEvent to stare at. Everything works smoothly from the IDE.
The applet isn't trying to load the crossdomain.xml file, so it apparently isn't considering the request to be cross-domain, and shouldn't be any other domains involved. Loading images from the swfRoot works fine.
Is there anything else that could be causing this error? Furthermore, is there any way I can find out more details about what exactly is going on? Tracing the toString of the ErrorEvent only gives me "Error 2048" - I've seen reference in other questions to messages for this error that read "cannot load data from XXX", but I can't seem to get one of these (I'm using Flash CS5).

Actually, all I need is a way to send an email with one message (the topic and "from" does not even matters... and the email is always the same) from inside the flash movie. And also the hit counter is inside the flash movie. Is this hard or imposible without PHP? I tried one ASP tutorial from google, but in the end... for some reason, the ASP code showed in a new web browser window.

Client: Player logs into Account via Flash Client. Player hits 'Versus Mode' Button. A lobby with a list of online servers come up. Player joins game. Heres where the problem comes in, I want the servers to be community hosted. i.e. the player downloads and runs a server app on their own desktop for other players to join. Players then go to the website and access the browser based client to find a list of active servers.
This would be a commercial product (players buy an account to log in through the client) and each player hosted server must handle 20 live players. As the servers are not centralized and scalability is handled by the community typical solutions like SmartFoxServer licences will not work.

Jul 22, 2010I'm trying to make a software which sends video and audio data to a flash media server by using RTMP protocol. Currently, my program can communicate with a flash media server correctly. RTMP specifications does not describe about the raw data in video/audio messages, so I muxed raw H.264 and AAC data into video/audio messages and sent to the server. The server seems to accept them, but a video player cannot playback the stream sending from the server. The player just says "Loading..." For a test purpose, I sniffed the network packets between Wirecast and the flash media server and ripped off only video and audio data. Then, I muxed those data into video/audio message and sent to the flash media server. In this case, the video player connected to the server can playback the stream correctly.
I checked the stream sent from Wirecast, the stream seems not to be H.264 raw data because those data are not started from 0x17 instead of H.264 start code. With those situation, I am wondering what kind of container format I should use for H.264/AAC data to the flash media server.
