Media Server :: Unable To Hear Sound Which Is Published Along With The Video
Aug 11, 2010
I am developing video chat application. I am able to play published video stream. But I am unable to hear sound which is published along with the video. The video is visible but sound is not comming.What is going wrong.
I have created an swf where I can record the webcam picture as H264 video to a FMS 4.5 (I am using the developer version).My code is looking like this:
var h264Settings = new H264VideoStreamSettings(); h264Settings.setProfileLevel("baseline", "1.2");[code]....
I can then replay the video from FMS just fine, but if I try to copy the video from the FMS application directory into a local project and try to play the video with the FLVPlayback component, or with the Adobe Media Player, it is not playing at all.Is this to be expected? Can't I record a webcam video with FMS in H264 and use that video later without FMS?
Some users are unable to access any of our video content, getting a Server Not Found error.We have our FMS configured to use ports 1935, 433, 80. Our firewall is allowing RTMP traffic to each of these ports. Is there something more I can do from my end to make sure users can access our FMS?
I am using a flash app. I can send and receive streaming data to FMS by using this app, like the chart I attached. [URL] This app uses RTMP to access to FMS. I want to upgrade this app to display sound level of each client. Is it possible by using Actionscript and FMS? If so, which class should I use?
We're running a permission-based audio stream to be amplified through in-store sound systems, but are unsure about basic hardware requirements. What basic features must all hardware have to log into our server via username/password and receive audio signal?
Newbie question, can't find this specific problem in the archives... I've created an app that has lots of audio. The audio is mp3 files. When I test it (CTRL+ENTER) I hear the audio. When I publish it and view it in the .html file locally (not a local hosting environment) I hear the audio. No problems there. But now it's on an actual server and I can't hear the audio. Wondering if there is a setting I've missed. I have not changed any settings related to audio. I'm actually emailing the .swf file, the .html file, and the AC_RunActiveContent.js file to an individual who has access to the server, and he put them where they need to be. I can see all of the visual content, but no sound. I assume I don't have to send all of the audio with it, correct? What do I need to do to hear this audio?
I need to be able to play any stream published to our FMS application, without connecting to the application as regular users do. I am an administrator and the service is ours. Can I do so using Administration API, for instance? I sure can get the list of the streams, but I have not found a way to stream these as video yet. I am building an application not unlike Admin. console, but with more functions that we need. If Admin. console seems to be able to play streams, it must be possible?
In the article there : http:[url]...We can see this under 'User lookup'.RTMFP assigns a peer ID to each participant. These peer IDs are 256 bits long and are non-forgeable. When you want to subscribe to a directly published stream, you must specify the publisher's peer ID:
#var receiveStream:NetStream = new NetStream(netConnection, id_of_publishing_client); receiveStream.play("media"); In another thread, Michael said : i believe the problem is that you are attempting to make a P2P connection to the server's peer ID; that is, something like" var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(netConnection, netConnection.farID); ns.play(...);
under the covers, this will open a new RTMFP flow to the server that will appear to the server as a new incoming client, but the initial handshake will be incorrect (the first/only command message is "play" instead of "connect").i see this on Cirrus all the time.Is it an error in the article or is it right considering the scenario?
As a subscriber of live stream how do I get absolute stream time since it is published? Consider the case, a publisher has published a live stream at 0 seconds. It has been 100 seconds past since the live stream is published. A new subscriber comes to fms and subscribers a live stream. It starts playing that live stream but NetStream.time property will start from 0 instead of 100. Is there any way or configuration (in fms) which allows subscriber to get absolute stream time?
I publish the video stream with H.264 settings to fms 3.5 as recorded and at the receiver's end play it as live. The problem is that at the receiver's end stream is played from the last 4-5 seconds. I want it to play from the current position of the live stream.
netstrm = new NetStream(nc); netstrm.play("mp4:"+instanceName+".f4v", -1); h264Settings= new H264VideoStreamSettings();
I am building a custom administration application which has to review streams published to our FMS application. This is to ban clients publishing inappropriate content. I am wondering if I have to make a connection to the application, as normal users do, in order to play the published streams? I am getting the list of streams using another connection, to rtmp://domain:1111/admin, like outlined in Administration API, and issuing the 'getLiveStreams' call.
The reason I am asking is because firstly, I remember that the Administration Console can play streams published to the server, but I don't recall it incrementing the connection count which shows amount of user clients connected to an application. Maybe I have missed however, but if I am right and it indeed can play streams without connecting to the application (which actually DOES sound a bit unlikely, given how the stream names are local to an app.), then maybe I can do it too? Secondly, I presently have to differentiate users and administrators in my 'onConnect' script, because are perform completely different roles. If I could relieve my admin. app from connecting to the application, I could also dump the role switching.
It's easy to do on publishing clients, just use:http:[url]....How do we do it on the FMS? It doesn't appear to be possible according to these docs: http:[url]...What is the default for the FMS for the audioReliable, dataReliable and videoReliable properties?
I'm trying to make a software which sends video and audio data to a flash media server by using RTMP protocol. Currently, my program can communicate with a flash media server correctly. RTMP specifications does not describe about the raw data in video/audio messages, so I muxed raw H.264 and AAC data into video/audio messages and sent to the server. The server seems to accept them, but a video player cannot playback the stream sending from the server. The player just says "Loading..." For a test purpose, I sniffed the network packets between Wirecast and the flash media server and ripped off only video and audio data. Then, I muxed those data into video/audio message and sent to the flash media server. In this case, the video player connected to the server can playback the stream correctly.
I checked the stream sent from Wirecast, the stream seems not to be H.264 raw data because those data are not started from 0x17 instead of H.264 start code. With those situation, I am wondering what kind of container format I should use for H.264/AAC data to the flash media server.
when i try to live stream with FMS! I can stream video with Flash media live encoder to the server but when i create the player to recieve the livestream from server,i can not recieve the live stream,can anyone give me a step by step tutorial of how to do it?
Flash media server 3.5 to stream live video to a webpage with flex GUI embedded in it.For this I have used Adobe flash media server start screen .I could able to stream video correctly.I want to know how long it could be do like this.ie suppose I have to stream like this for 3 or 6 months
I have a broadcasting project that I've got where the host of the show can have multiple sound effects they can use on their show.I'm wondering if the only way to go about this is for all the clients listening to the show need to download the mp3 of that sound effect or if the sound effect could come from the host ...like combining his mic (for his voice) but also straight audio (the sound effect) into the stream.
Flash is not in my toolset, but I am an old Director jock and have spent some hours dipping my head into the Flash manual. I suppose that makes me a promising beginner-level poster. I'm working in CS5.
I need to make a simple Flash-based sound player for a website for a newly-released novel (http://www.bearriverbooks.com/index.html). I want the user to click on what appears to be an icon (or image), which kicks open a simple controller and starts playing a sound file (a radio interview, which I will probably export using Flash's voice compression). Nothing fancy. Just want the visitor to hear the sound and be able to apply simple controls (stop/start/rewind/volume).
I can learn ActionScript, I suppose, since I used to dream in Lingo, but my life would be a lot simpler if I could just publish a controller without having to roll my own. I'd like to think there's a magic button somewhere that can do this, but I haven't found it yet.
As titled, what is the way to record video/audio files using Flash Meida Server through rmtp, and allow users to access the recorded files through http?What I am trying to do, is to record a user's microphone's input and save it to the server.fterwards, I would like other users to be able to access the recorded files and mainuplating the audio data, by computeSpectrum(), to do some visualization of the audio. As I know computeSpectrum() cannot work on streaming files, so I think I need to access the recorded files using http instead of rmtp. Is that true?
i have fms installed on a server, say server1. my flash files (swf) which allows user to record audio is on server 2. in the swf file, the connection is set as follows: nc.connect("rtmp://server1/test");
im able to view flash videos on server2 which streams from server1. however, i cannot upload any recording to the above directory. does the recording goes to the application or webroot folder? do i need to set any authentication to connect to server1(fms) from server2(swf)??
I want to have a website where users can record short video clips (using a webcam) and then have those videos saved on the FMS for viewing later. I've seen a lot about streaming video, but I actually want to save the video.
I am trying to animate a character talking in CS3. What should I do to be able to hear the dialogue when I drag on the timeline? Currently I can't hear anything, but if I test the movie it plays fine.
have an error in the publication of a Live (Webcam) to a CDN (Level3).when "ns.publish (STREAM_NAME 'live')" 'it is returned an error"NetStream.Record.NoAccess 'Thank you to those who use AS3 application to connect to their CDN (Akamai, Level3 ...) oftell me if they encounter a problem.I use the same code has always been to publish a Live (Webcam) to serversstreaming (FMS RED5, etc ...) and can be summarized as follows:nc = new NetConnection ()nc.connect (HOST_URL)../..ns = new NetStream (nc)ns.publish (MON_STREAM 'live') this works on all versions FMS 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, etc. ..Since a migration of my FMS version 2.5 to 3.5 this code does not work anymore!the worst is that Flash Media Encoder (FME 3.0) it is operating properly.So is there a feature to broadcast a live publishing point on a CDN (LEVEL3)?The CDN turning on the fact that if it works with FME is that it is the code that raisesproblem ... without more information.The FMS version uses "special" of FMS, but until now I had no worries!In general the user CDN use hardware encoders ...
I have been trying to get my live feed up and running for friends but they are unale to view it. I have FMS 4 with FMLE 3.2 on Win7. Under the fms url i have 'rtmp://localhost/live' and Stream name is 'livestream' I can view the stream just fine from my computer on which i am running both FMS and FMLE. but when i put the html file on my website, my friends just see the empty swfplayer. You can view it at[URL]. I was trying to figure out what the problem was so i copied the swf code 6 times with different settings but nothing worked. on my computer, only the first swf player works and im guessing that is because its localhost.
I have made a javascript/flash system to play sound effects on an AJAX-based game I have made. For some reason, on some systems (it appears to be just Firefox 3 on Windows XP), users can only hear the sound effects play while the window is in focus. If they minimize the window or are looking at a different window the sound effects don't play.
